Thank you for choosing our Fontiso IRUT infrared thermometers. The contactless and easy-to-use body and surface thermometer enables precise measurements via the integrated infrared sensor within the shortest time.

Insert batteries
To open the battery compartment (6), slide the Battery Cover to open and access the battery compartment. Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries (included) as shown in the battery compartment. Close the cover.
Attention: Incorrectly inserted batteries, lead to malfunction.

Measuring of Temperature

Note: In order to obtain precise measurement data, the object to be measured should be at least twice as large as the diameter of the measuring sensor. The distance to the object to be measured should not exceed 5 cm.
Note: The device switches itself off after 10 seconds if it is not used.

Measuring of Body temperature:
Point the thermometer with the lens at your forehead or armpits. Press and hold the power button (3). The measuring result is immediately shown on the display. Temperature ranges are indicated by different colored display backgrounds and an acoustic signal.

  • Green: Normal (temp. Range 32 °C to 37.4 °C)
  • Yellow: Increased (temp. Range 37.5 °c to 37.9 °C)
  • Red: Fever (temp. Range 38 °C to 42.9 °C)

Note: If the temperature is below 32 °C, the display shows Lo. If the temperature is above 43 °C, Hi is shown.
Note: If the measured ambient temperature is below 10 °C Erl and if above 40 °C ErH will show in display.

Measurement of surfaces and liquids

First set the measurement to surface measurement, align the thermometer with the lens at the surface or liquid to be measured. The measurement result is shown in the display after a short time.
Note: Reflective surfaces can be measured by covering the surface to be measured with non-reflective adhesive tape and measuring.

Settings

Measurement of body or surface
After switching on the contactless temperature measuring device IRman, press the button Modes M (3) to select between body temperature or surface temperature measurement.

Setting the temperature unit (C or F)
After switching on the IRman, please press and hold the S key (4) until F1 appears. There press the Temp key (3) to select between the measurement unit Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Setting the temperature alarm
After switching on, please press and hold the S key (4) until F1 appears, then press the S key (4) again until F2 appears in the display. Now you can set your desired temperature alarm (e.g.) 38 °C instead of the preset 37.1 °C, button M (2) increases the Setting Value, and button temperature (3) decreases the Setting Value.

The setting of temperature compensation
After switching on, please press and hold the S key (4) until F1 appears, then please press the S key (4) twice until F3 appears in the display. Now you can set the compensation temperatu­re. Button M (2) increase the Setting Value, and button temperature (3) decreases the Setting Value.

The setting of the speaker’s tone
After switching on, please press and hold the S key (4) until F1 appears, then please press the S key (4) 3 times until F4 appears in the display. Press button M (2) to switch on or off the Beep tone,

Note: By pressing the S key (4), the settings are saved and you enter into the measurement menu measuring it.

Cleaning

Lens cleaning: Use a cotton cloth to clean the IR sensor. Cleaning the housing: Clean the housing with a damp cloth
Caution: Do not use any solvents or harsh cleaners to clean the lens and housing.

Safety Instructions:

  • This device is not suitable for medical use.
  • Do not immerse the thermometer in liquids.
  • Keep it away from children.
  • Do not make self-diagnosis based on the measurement results of the device.
  • Follow your doctor’s instructions.
  • If there is a difference in temperature between the place of storage and the place of use, keep the device at the place of use for 30 minutes before taking measurements.
  • If the forehead/skin is cold/damp, dry the skin and wait 10 minutes before measuring.
  • Do not expose the device to direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, or high humidity.
  • Remove the batteries if it is not going to be used for a long time.
