  • Flooring should only be installed on clean, smooth, flat surfaces.
  • Before installing, sweep the area where you are going to be placing the flooring.
  • Clean up oil and any other chemical residue.
  • Start unrolling the flooring at the entrance to the garage and work your way back.
  • If necessary, use a broom to push any air out from underneath the flooring, working from the center outward.
  • Depending on the temperature of the garage, it may take a few days for the flooring to lay completely flat.
  • The flooring can be cut to size with a utility knife or scissors. Due to the nature of the material, the flooring may expand during the summer and contract during the winter. Depending upon the climate you live in, the flooring may expand and contract up to 3%. If trimming to fit around areas such as polls, cabinets, workbenches or along walls, during cold weather, please keep in mind that additional trimming may be necessary during hot weather due to expansion.

If you wish to secure the flooring your garage floor, we recommend using an indoor/outdoor carpet tape.
