Cone tool
The cone tool allows for perfect shaping of the wafers into cones (eg for ice
cream). Fit the handle to the cone before use.
Before initial use
The cone maker should be preheated for ten minutes with the lids closed. This
will remove the smell typically encountered when first switching on the
appliance. (Turn the thermostat control to its highest setting.)
Please ensure sufficient ventilation.
Clean the appliance afterwards as described in Cleaning and Care. For reasons
of hygiene, the first wafer from the new appliance should be discarded.
Operation
- Close the plates.
- Plug in the appliance. The red main indicator light comes on.
- Turn the thermostat control to its maximum setting.
- Preheat the cone maker for about 3 minutes. It is then ready for use.
- Once the pre-set temperature is reached, the green thermostat light will come on. It goes out again during any re-heating phase.
- Open the two plates by pulling the two locking clips up.
- Before use, the non-stick plates should be lightly greased with a small amount of oil or fat that is specifically intended for frying and may be safely heated to high temperatures.
- Put the dough in the middle of the lower plate.
- Close the upper lid and lock it by pushing the two locking clips down to help spread the dough evenly.
- In order to achieve a constant temperature, the heating element will switch on and off while the appliance is in use; the green thermostat light will therefore occasionally light up and then go out again.
- The baking time is normally about 2 minutes, depending on the nature of the dough as well as the temperature selected. Once baking has finished, check whether the wafer shows the desired level of browning, and take it out.
- Shape the wafer into a cone immediately after baking, using the shaping tool. To prevent damage to the non-stick coating, do not use any sharp or pointed object to remove the food.
- Check the level of browning. Should the wafer be too light or too dark, adjust the temperature control or baking time. If required, place fresh dough into the cone maker immediately after removing the wafer.
- After use, remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool down with the cooking plates open.
Cleaning and Care
- Before cleaning, remove the plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down with the cooking plates open.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the appliance with water and do not immerse it in water.
- Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
- Clean the outside with a soft, slightly damp cloth only.
- The non-stick plates can be cleaned with a soft damp cloth, a soft brush or a sponge.
- The shaping tool may be cleaned in hot soapy water.

the almonds and the grated chocolate. Form the baked wafers into cones or
rolls. Vanilla cones
