  • At the base of the bollard, place a drain pipe, with a minimum inclination of 10°.
  • Leave a tube to pass the electric cable to the control board.
  • Place sand around the bollard for better accommodation.
  • The concrete must be made with cement and sand, for greater resistance.
  • The control board must be installed with a minimum height of 200mm from the ground.
  • If the distance between control board and bollard is greater than 10 meters, use a cable with Ø2.5mm section.

INSERT BOLLARD INTO THE HOLE

  • Remove the screws and the bollard cover.
    Apply a support that allows you to seal the interior of the automation to prevent garbage or other objects from entering the interior of the automation.

  • After, insert the bollard into the hole on the ground.

APPLY SAND AND CONCRETE
Add sand and then concrete inside the hole to fix the bollard.

FIX THE BOLLARD

TROUBLESHOOTING

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FINAL CONSUMERS AND SPECIALIZED TECHNICIANS

Anomaly| Procedure| Behavior| Procedure II| Discovering the origin of the problem
---|---|---|---|---
• Bollard doesn’t work.| •  Check that the control board has power and it is working correctly.| •  Still not working.| •  Consult a qualified technician.|

  1. Open control box and check if it has 230V power supply;

  2. Check input fuses of the control board;

  3. Disconnect bollards from control board and test them by connecting directly to power
    supply.

  4. If the bollard work, the problem is on the control board. Pull it out and send it to our
    technical services for diagnosis;

  5. If the bollard don’t work, remove them from installation site and send to our technical services for diagnosis.

• Bollard doesn’t move but makes noise.| •  Unlock the bollard and move it manually to check if there

are mechanical problems.

| •  The bollard is stuck.| •  Consult a technician.| Check all motion systems related with the bollard and to find out what is the problem.
•  The bollard moves easily.| •  Consult a qualified technician.|

  1. Disconnect the bollard from control board and test it by connecting directly to power
    supply in order to find out if it has problems;

  2. If the bollard work, the problem is on the control board. Pull it out and send it to our
    technical services for diagnosis;

  3. If the bollard don’t work, remove them from installation site and send to our technical services for diagnosis.

• Bollard opens but doesn’t close.|

  • Unlock the bollard and manually move it to the closed position.
  • Lock the Bollard (s) again.
  • Turn the general electrical board off for 5 seconds, then turn it back on. Give opening order with the remote control.

| •  Bollard opened but didn’t close again.|

  1. Check if there are any obstacles obstructing the movement of the bollard.
  2. Check if any control devices of the bollard are stuck and sending a permanent signal to the control board.
  3. Consult a qualified technician.

| All control boards have LEDs that easily allow to conclude which devices are with anomalies. All safety devices LEDs (DS) in normal situations remain On. All “START” circuits LEDs in normal situations remain Off. If LEDs devices are not all On, there is some security systems malfunction (photocells, safety edges). If “START” circuits LEDs are turn
(Op and Cl), there is a control device sending permanent signal.
SECURITY SYSTEMS

  1. Close with a shunt all safety systems on the control board (check manual of the control board. If the automated system starts working normally check for the problematic device.
  2. Remove one shunt at a time until you find the malfunction device.
  3. Replace it for a functional device and check if the motor works correctly with all the other devices. If you find another one defective, follow the same steps until you find all the problems.

START SYSTEMS

  1. Disconnect all wires connected to the START connector.
  2. If the LED turned OFF, try reconnecting one device at a time until you find the defective device.

NOTE: In case procedures described in sections A) and B) don’t result, remove control board and send to our technical services for diagnosis.

•  Bollard doesn’t make complete route.| •  Unlock the bollard and move it manually to check if there are mechanical problems.| •  Encountered problems?| •  Consult an experienced bollards expert.| Check all motion systems related with the bollard and to find out what is the problem.
•  The bollard moves easily?| •  Consult a qualified technician.|

  1. Disconnect motor from control board and test it by connecting directly to power supply in order to find out if it is broken;
  2. If the bollard(s) doesn’t work, remove it from installation site and send to our technical services for diagnosis.
  3. If motor work well and move the bollard at full force during the entire course, the problem is with control board. Set force using trimmer on the board. Make a new working time programming, giving enough time for opening and closing with appropriate force (consult control board manual).
  4. If this doesn’t work, remove control board and send it to technical services.
    NOTE • Setting force of the control board should be enough to make the bollard open and close without stopping, but should stop and invert with a little effort from a person. In case of safety systems failure, the gate shall never cause physical damaged to obstacles (vehicles, people, etc.).
