Kabu Seal Pressure Sealing Ring
Product Information: Kabu-Seal
Kabu-Seal is a pressure sealing ring used for underground cable conduits. It is made of soft elastomer material and is designed to be installed without requiring any special tools. The product is manufactured by Fraenkische, and the installation instructions and data sheet are available on their website.
Advantages
- No additional securing with clip rings necessary
- Installation without requiring any special tools
- Soft elastomer material ideal for underground cable conduits
Minimum Distance and Spacing
The minimum distance required for installation is equal to the core drill
hole diameter plus 30 mm. When installing Kabu-Seal pressure sealing rings
next to each other, the minimum spacing required should be followed. Rubber
pressure sealing rings do not serve as fixed points or bearings and cannot
absorb mechanical force.
Responsibility
The user of the products is responsible for the suitability for use and for
any damage and subsequent damage arising from improper installation.
Product Usage Instructions: Kabu-Seal
Installation Instructions
- Observe the core drill hole dimensions (see data sheet).
- Clean the inner wall of the core drill hole or casing in the installation area of the seal insert.
- If required, seal the inner wall with watertight coating before installing Kabu-Seal.
- Slip the pressure sealing ring over Kabuflex with the coupling side facing the inside of the building.
- Install as flush as possible with the outside edge of the building into the core drill hole. For element walls, install in the area of the sealing level.
- Steadily tighten screws in several runs in a diagonal sequence until the yellow elastomer material equally fills the annular gap between the compressive flange and the Kabuflex conduit and the core drill hole (see Illustration 2).
Note: It is important to follow the minimum distance and spacing requirements during installation to ensure proper functioning of the product. Rubber pressure sealing rings do not serve as fixed points or bearings and cannot absorb mechanical force. The user of the products is responsible for the suitability for use and for any damage and subsequent damage arising from improper installation.
