WARNING

  1. Installation work and electric wiring (including switch location) must be done by the qualified person(s)in accordance with local applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.
  2. This hood may have sharp edges. Be careful to avoid cuts and abrasions during installation and cleaning.
  3. The hood must be placed at a minimum distance of 60cm from the cook panel.
  4. Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhausting of gases through the chimney of fuel burning equipment to prevent back drafting. Follow the heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline and safety standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection Association, and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.
  5. Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
  6. This appliance is designed to be operated by adults. Children were not allowed to temper with the controls or play with this appliance.
  7. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
  8. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.

  1. SMOTHER FLAMES with a close-fitting lid, cookie sheet or metal tray, then turn off the burner, BE CAREFUL TO   PREVENT BURNS. If the flames do not go out immediately, EVACUATE AND CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
  2. NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN —You may be burned.
  3. DO NOT USE WATER, including wet dishcloths or towels-a violent steam explosive will result
  4. Use an extinguisher ONLY if:
  • You know you have a Class ABC extinguisher, and you already know how to operate it;
  • The fire is small and contained in the area where it started;
  • The fire department is being called;
  • You can fight the fire with your back to an exit.

WARNING – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A RANGE TOP GREASE FIRE:

  1. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boil overs cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings.
  2. Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when flambeing food.
  3. Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not be allowed to accumulate on fan or filter.
  4. Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the element.

  1. Use this unit only in the manner intended by the manufacturer. If you have questions, contact the manufacturer.
  2. Before servicing or cleaning unit, switch power off at service panel and lock the service disconnecting means to prevent power from being switch on accidently. When service disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.

INSTALLATION & USE

USE ONLY RANGE HOOD CORD CONNECTION KITS THAT HAVE PROVIDED FOR USE WITH THIS RANGE HOOD. Note 1:Carefully remove the plastic protective film from all exterior surfaces of the hood, filters and duct cover prior to installation. Note 2: At least two people will be required to mount this product.

INSTALLTION DRILLING AND LINING

  1. Draw a vertical line on the wall J where the hood will be install 28-30 inches above an electric cooktop or z — 30-32 inches above a gas cooktop, up to the ceiling or as high as needed.

  2. Draw a horizontal line.

  3. Place chimney mounting brackets on the wall as shown : about 1”(27mm) from the ceiling VTR or upperlimit aligning the centre (notch)with the vertical reference line.
    Installation

  4. Align mounting holes on the back of range hood with mounting screws on the wall. Place range hood on the screws and fasten the screws.

  5. Use the auxiliary screws provided to secure the range hood.

FIX THE AIR OUTLET
  1. Use the sealing strip provided in the accessories bag and place it around the air outlet joint cover by one circle and make sure there is no air leakage.
  2. Using 4 screws provided to install the joint cover onto the range hood.

DUCT FIXING

Caution: To reduce the risk of fire, use metal ductwork only.(Metal duct should be able to easily sourced from local hardware stores.)

  1. Attach an adequate length of ¢ 8” round duct on the top the outlet adapter.
  2. Secure the duct using fastener. Make sure the duct is fixed well on.
CONNECTIONS

Ducted mode air exhaust system
Caution: To reduce the risk of fire,use metal ductwork only.(Metal duct should be sourced by locally.)

  1. Decide where the ductwork will run between the hood and the outside.
  2. A straight, short duct run will allow the hood to perform most efficiently.
  3. Long duct runs, elbows, and transitions will reduce the performance of the hood. Use as few of them as possible. Larger ducting may be required for best performance with longer duct runs.
  4. Attach an adequate length of $8″round duct to the air outlet adapter.
  5. The air must not be discharge into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels. Regulations concerning the discharge of air have to be fulfilled.
  6. Install wall cap or roof cap. Connect round metal ductworkto cap and work back towards the hood location. Use duct tape to seal the joints between duct work sections. Recirculation Mode

  1. Install the charcoal filter on.
  2. Please note that the air will flow out from the two grids on the two sides of the chimney top.
  3.  If choosing recirculation kit,for exhausting air smoothly, please make sure that there is a gap of 20mm at least between the cabinet or chimney cover and the ceiling.
Recirculation Mode

Caution: Do not use plastic or rigid metal ducting.

  1. Install the charcoal filter on.
  2. Please note that the air will flow out from the two grids on the two sides of the chimney top.
  3. If choosing recirculation kit, for exhausting air smoothly, please make sure that there is a gap of 20mm at least between the cabinet or chimney cover and the ceiling.

CONNECTIONS

Electrical connection

  • Electrical wiring must be done by a qualified person(s)in accordance with all applicable codes and standards. Turn off electrical power at service entrance before wiring.
  • If the supply cord is damaged,it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • Do not use the plug and an extension cord other than the ones initially supplied with the hood.
  • This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.Do not remove ground prong of the plug.
OPERATION OF CONTROLS CONTROL SWITCH

Control Switch

  1. Turns the light on/off
  2. Low speed setting
  3. Medium speed setting
  4. High speed setting
  5. Turns the hood on or off

MAINTENANCE

Proper maintenance of the Range Hood will assure proper performance of the unit. Disconnect the hood from the main supply before carrying out any maintenance work.

GREASE FILTER
  • The grease filters should be cleaned frequently, Use a warm detergent solution.(every two months of operation ,or more frequently for heavy use. )
  • Grease filters are washable.

  2. LIFT OUT

  3.  Remove the grease filter one by one by pushing down each latch. This will disengage the filter from the hood. Tilt the filter downward and remove.

  4. Wash the filters,taking care not to bend them. Allow them to be dry before refitting.

  5. When refitting the filters,make sure that the handle is visible from the outside.

  6. To install the grease filter, align rear filter tabs with slots in the hood. Push down the latch, push filter into position and release. Make sure the filter is securely engaged after assembly.

CHARCOAL FILTER FOR DUCTLESS INSTALLATION (NOT INCLUDED)

This filter not washable, can not be regenerated, and should be replaced approximately every 3 months of operation, or more frequently in the case of heavy usage.

  1. To install the charcoal filter(not included),and lock it until the stop click is heard.
  2. Install grease filter after charcoal filter(not included)is installed.

LED BULBS

This range hood may require two DC12V 2.0W LED.
WARNING: Always switch off the electrical supply before carrying out any operation on the appliance.

To change bulbs:

  1. Switch off power and wait for 5 minute till the bulbs cool down.
  2. Wear gloves and remove the bulb by pulling sideward (as the direction instructed).
  3. Replace with DC12V 2.0W LED.

CAUTION

  1. THE SURFACE OF THE HALOGEN BULBS MAY BE HOT, TAKE CARE WHEN TAKING THE REPLACEMENT.
HOOD CLEANING

Stainless steel is one of the easiest materials to keep clean. Occasional care will help preserve its fine appearance. Cleaning tips:

  • Warm water with soap or detergent is all that is usually needed.
  • Follow all cleaning by rinsing with clear water. Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth to avoid water marks.
  • For discolorations or deposits that persist,use a non-scratching household cleanser or stainless steel polishing powder with a little water and a soft cloth.
  • For stubborn cases use a plastic scouring pad or soft bristle brush together with cleanser and water.Rub lightly in direction of polishing lines or “grain”of the stainless finish.Avoid using too much pressure that may mar the surface.
  • Do not allow deposits to remain for long periods of time.
  • Do not use ordinary steel wool or steel brushes. Small bits of steel may scratch the surface and cause rust.
  • Do not allow salt solutions,disinfectants,bleaches, or cleaning compounds to remain in contact with stainless steel for extended periods. Many of these compounds contain chemicals that may be harmful. Rinse with water after exposure and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
  • Painted surfaces should be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent only.
  • DISPOSAL:Do not dispose this product as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.

Exterior Body:
Clean grease with cloth. Apply a small amount of stainless steel solution and wipe with dry cloth.

Filters:
The grease filters should be cleaned frequently (every two months of operation, or more frequently for heavy use).You can either clean the filters by hand with warm detergent solution and then rinse. Or you can use your dishwasher to do the cleaning. When you remove the filters, please do not bend them. After cleaning, please dry them before refitting.

Oil Collector:
For the oil collector located inside the product, you can regularly check it to see if there are excess oil. If it does, you can clean the collector with warm detergent, rinse it, and let it dry beforerefitting.

You must present proof of original purchase date.

Please provide an original dated proof of purchase (sales receipt / invoice) in order to obtain service under warranty.

Lifetime Motor Warranty

The motor, which is covered by lifetime warranty, should be provided free of charge by your local reseller given it failed due to manufacturing defects. Subject to the conditions and limitations set forth below, your local reseller should, at its option,either repair or replace it with new or refurbished motor to be functionally equivalent to new.The consumer is responsible for all shipping costs.

One Year Parts Warranty

For one year from the date of original purchase, your local reseller will provide free of charge, non-consumable replacement parts or components that failed due to manufacturing defects. Subject to the conditions and limitations set forth below, your local reseller will, at its option, either repair or replace any part of its products that prove defective by reason of improper workmanship or materials. Repaired parts or replacement products will be provided by your local reseller on an exchange basis, and will be either new or refurbished to be functionally equivalent to new.The consumer is responsible for all shipping costs. Consumable parts not covered by this warranty include but not limited to: Light bulbs, metal, aluminum and charcoal filters.

Who is Covered

This warranty is extended to the original purchaser for products purchased for ordinary home use.

This Warranty Will Be Voided When

Product damaged through negligence, improper installation, accident, abuse, misuse, natural disaster, insufficient or excessive electrical supply, abnormal mechanical or environmental conditions, or any unauthorized disassembly, repair, modification, or failure to follow installation instructions. When product is used commercially or other than its intended purpose. Damaged because of improper connection with equipment of other manufacturers. Repaired or modified by anyone other than your local reseller’s authorized agents. This limited warranty also does not apply to any product on which the original identification information has been altered, obliterated or removed, has not been handled or packaged correctly or has been sold as second-hand.

What is Not Covered

Consumable parts such as light bulbs, metal and charcoal filters. The natural wear of finish, and wear due to improper maintenance, use of corrosive and abrasive cleaning products, pads, and oven cleaner products. Chips, dents or cracks due to abuse, misuse, freight damage, or improper installation. Damage of product caused by accident, fire, floods or act of God. The manufacturer and/or distributor/reseller is not liable for, and does not cover under warranty, any loss of properties or any costs associated with removing, servicing, installing, or determining the source of problems with this product.

This warranty is valid in the country of the original purchase at retail. It is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and does not extend to subsequent owners of this product. Any applicable implied warranties, including the warranty of merchantability, are limited in duration to a period of express warranty as provided herein beginning with the date of original purchase at retail and, no warranties, whether express or implied, shall apply to this product thereafter.

To obtain warranty service, you may contact your local reseller from which you purchased this product. Please confirm the terms of your local reseller’s policies prior to contacting. Typically, you must include product identification information, including model number and serial number with a detailed description of the problem you are experiencing. You must also include proof of the date of original retail purchase as evidence that the product is within the applicable warranty period.

DISCLAIME

Carefully inspect all items for damages before accepting delivery. Note any damages on the freight bill or express receipt. Request name and signature of the carrier’s agent and keep copy to support your claim. Upon acceptance of items, owner assumes responsibility for its safe arrival. Report damages to the carrier and file a claim immediately. Failure to do so may result in the denial of your claim. The carrier will furnish you with necessary forms for filing a claim.

Damages caused during transit are not covered under our warranty. Please contact us to file an insurance claim.

Please inspect contents of package(s) carefully upon receiving! We mustbe notified of any damages and/or missing parts within five (5) days upon your receipt of package(s). Claims will not be accepted after five (5) days.
NOTE: Items were thoroughly tested and carefully packed in our factory before shipping.

Products must be returned in good working condition with ALL original parts and documentation packed in ALL original cartons, fillers and shipping cartons. A restocking fee of 15% will be charged for all approved return(s). Exchanges or returns may not be accepted if any packaging is missing. Make sure to inspect the hood for damages and defects before installation.

Appearance flaws of the hood found after installation and not affecting hood performance is not covered under our warranty for returns or exchanges. Service visits not covered under warranty will carry a service charge.

Before Installation: Return for exchange or refund (please see above for acceptable returns). After Installation: NO exchange or refund.
