FAQ

• How do I recharge my FinaMill?
  Plug the USB cable (included) into the mini-USB port near the top button; connect the USB cable to your USB power adapter and plug the adapter into a power outlet. Once all three lights are on, it is fully charged.

• How long does a charge last?
  Depending on usage, it should last about 3-4 months. If it stops grinding or is not performing well, recharge.

• What else can I grind with the FinaPod?
  The FinaPods that come with your FinaMill are designed for everyday use, things such as: salt, peppercorns, dried minced garlic, dried minced onion, sesame seeds, cumin, and coriander. We also offer offer another FinaPod, the MAX, that is designed for larger spices like allspice and coffee beans, and another designed to grate spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and hard cheese.

• How do I organize my pods?
  We offer stackable trays on our website and are developing more accessories every day.

• How can I open a tight pod? How do I get it open after use?
  Along the sides of the pod are two holes cut into the base. Insert a key, or ridged object, then twist open. The hole plus object will give you more leverage to open the base.

• How fine can it grind?
  It is fairly small, but not a powder like pre-ground spice.
  Please adjust the grinding knob to your desired coarseness.

• Why isn’t it grinding fine enough?
  You might have to adjust the grinding adjuster knob clockwise to a finer setting.

• How do I adjust the grind size of the FinaPod?
  Remove the pod from the mill and twist the adjuster knob on the bottom of the pod.
  Clockwise for a finer grind, counterclockwise for a more coarse grind.

• Why can’t I adjust the grinder?
  Pepper or other spice might be stuck in the grinding element.
  The simple fix is to hold the FinaMill, with the pod inserted, upside down and run it for a few seconds. That should clear material from the grinding element and allow it to be adjusted again.

• Can it grind fresh herbs?
  No, only chopped or minced dried herbs.

• Can I grind nutmeg or cinnamon?
  To grind nutmeg, cinnamon, and other very hard spices, please use the FinaPod GT coming in 2023.
  Using other pods to grind very hard spices might damage the FinaPod or the FinaMill.

• Why are my spices sticking to the pod?
  High humidity or static can cause them to stick.
  Be sure to keep the grinding element and area clean to minimize sticking.

• What is the warranty?
  2 years

CHARGING

• Plug the USB cable (included) into the mini USB port near the top button;

• Connect the USB cable to your USB power adapter and plug the adapter into a power outlet;

• Initially one or two lights will blink.
  When all three lights are on, it is fully charged;

• The mill comes partially charged for your convenience.

FINAPOD

• To open, align the grooves with the cutout as shown on figure A.
  

• Grip onto the grooves and twist the clear plastic cup counter clockwise See figure B.

• Selecting your grind size: twist the knob on the bottom of the pod.
  Twisting counterclockwise for coarser or clockwise for finer.

• Turn the knob clockwise to the end, this will shut off the grinding.
  Turning the knob counterclockwise to the end will unscrew and remove the grinding element.

• If the pod is too tight to open locate the two holes along the sides of the pod. Insert a key, or ridged object, then twist open. The hole plus object will give you more leverage to open the base.

OPERATION

• Take the FinaMill and lower the opening onto the pod.
  Once you feel a click, the pod is engaged and ready for grinding.

• Press the power button to dispense spices as desired.
  FinaMill will not operate without a FinaPod inserted.

• After extended use, recharge your FinaMill if you see a drop in performance.

CARE & CLEANING

• Grinding elements may be removed by unscrewing the knob and brushed clean.

• We do not recommend washing the rotating base in any fashion.
  Water can get trapped inside and create a health hazard.

• DO NOT wash the FinaMill in water.

• DO NOT wash the FinaPod in the dishwasher.

• DO NOT use water to wash the base of the FinaPod.

• DO NOT use soap or detergent to wash the ceramic grinding elements of the FinaPod.
