SCHEME
INSTALLATION
CHOOSE A PROPER LOCATION FOR THE CEILING FAN
Choose the perfect spot to place your fan and take all the necessary safety
precautions before beginning the installation. Once all the precautions are
taken, trace your drill holes, using a pencil, through the bracket by placing
it on the ceiling.
WARNING
- Make sure electricity is turned off at the main power box before starting work. Turn off the power by removing fuse or turning off circuit breaker before installing the fan and replacing the lamps.
- To ensure a good electrical protection to your fan it is essential to install a wall switch.
- Make sure that the circuit breaker of the line on which you want to install your fan is tripped, to avoid damages or danger in case of overvoltage.
- The lowest point on the fan blade must be at least 2.3 m (7.5ft) from the floor.
- Make sure that ceiling joists are strong enough and of adequate size to support the weight of the fan in movement.
PREPARE THE INSTALLATION
Before you begin, unpack each piece of the fan and verify them.
Depending on the support of your ceiling, you will need different elements:
the fixation on a wooden beam, is not the same the one on concrete. For wooden
beams and concrete supports, pre-drill your holes and use the fasteners
provided for this. For drywall, use fixings provided for this type of support
(not included), try to get back on the metal support of the drywall. In the
case of installation on a sloped ceiling, fix the plate in a way, that the pin
that enters the groove of the ball joint can take the angle of the slope.
Place it in the parallel of the slope and not in perpendicular. Do the swing
test with the ball joint and the rod assembled in the support so as not to
mislead the direction of attachment of the plate.
It is on the right positioning that the good function of your ventilator
depends: with or without vibrations, and this in spite of the systems of self-
balancing of your ventilator. Be careful, take your time. Do not forget a
single washer or screw that can unbalance your fan.
Tools needed to install your fan:
- A drill
- Magnetic cruciform screwdriver
- Long Flat magnetic screwdriver
MOUNTING PLATE
Choose the perfect spot to place your fan and take all the necessary safety
precautions before beginning the installation. Once all the precautions are
taken, trace your drill holes, using a pencil, through the bracket by placing
it on the ceiling. Drill the holes using a driller. Check that your holes fit
well to the plate, then screw your anchors. Perform the same operation on a
wooden support, with a very fine drill, the aim being to guide the screw so
that it does not go slanting in the wood. For drywall, try to find the metal
studs to ensure fan stability. Without metal studs, avoid mounting this fan on
a plasterboard less than 9 mm. In the case of drywall, you can add a rubber or
foam support under the plate, add rubber washer to your screws. Drywalls can
produce “sound box and the slightest vibration is considerably amplified
.
If your electrical outlets are already made, make sure to place them in the center of the mounting plate. Screw the screws firmly so that the support is flat against the support.
DOWNROD
- Take the already mounted extender composed from:
- The ball joint, the extension (down rod), a flat trough bolt, a safety pin at the end of the bolt.
- Disassemble the parts starting with the ball joint. For this, unscrew the screw on the side.
- Gently slip down the ball joint and you will access a cylinder through the down rod, remove it.
- Slide the ball joint upwards to remove it.
- Remove the pin from the through bolt at the other end of the extension.
Choose the length of the down rod you need and assemble it to the motor.
COUPLER
Take the ball joint, the decorative engine cover, and slide it through the
down rod you have chosen. Take the wires coming out of the motor, and slide
them into the down rod so that they come out on the other side.
Attention, put the extension in the right direction, ball joint´s hole up, and
bolt hole to the engine, ditto for the ball joint and the engine cover. Now
take the ball joint, slide it through the down rod, pass the cylinder, mount
the ball to block the cylinder and screw the ball so that it does not move. Be
careful not to break or bend the wires.
Attach the down rod to the motor through the coupler located above the motor according to the following diagram.
Pass the through bolt through the coupler and the down rod being careful with the cables. Pass the pin, then screw the three screws around the coupler, the down rod should not move, it must hold firmly. Slide the decorative cover down, screw it firmly. Finally, carry your fan on the support, the ball coming into the mounting plate, make sure that the pin on the plate enters well in the groove of the ball joint.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
ATTENTION! Make sure the circuit breaker is disconnected.
Take the receiver from the remote control and slide it under the ball joint of
the fan. Be careful not to break the side cables of the receiver. Connect the
eclectic network to the terminal or domino located by the plate. Be careful,
do not reverse the Phase and Neutral cables. Look after the black wire as it
is the receiver antenna. Connect the cables coming out of the fan using the
connector, do the same with the cables of the exit of the domino. Make sure
the cables at the terminal block are connected properly.
Work carefully with the cables, without forcing the connectors, and reassemble the canopy. Attach the canopy to the hanger bracket by pushing up and twist to locate screws in the two key holes. Tighten the two screws firmly. Attach the canopy cover with magnet to the canopy.
BLADES
ATTENTION! Do not power the fan without mounting the blades first. The engine is equipped with a safety mode that will prevent it from operating normally.
There are 2 types of blades:
- Open blades: with a round notch and can be installed with or without the light kit.
- Closed blades: with triangular shape and cannot be installed with the light kit.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the rubber shims between the case and the engine.
CLOSED BLADES – without light kit
Attach the blade to the motor, and tighten the two screws firmly. Repeat to
install all the 3 blades and tighten all the screws firmly.
OPEN BLADES – with or without light kit
INSTALLATION OF LIGHT CONNECTOR
- Pass the wire through the hole in the light connector.
- Align the light connector to the motor shaft and tighten it.
- Screw down the light connector from the side.
Installation of 2 blades (ONLY for P1, P2 and P4 blades):
Before fitting the blades, please mark the blade and block fixing holes on the
motor board. Start by mounting both adaptors, and fix them with the screws. Do
not tighten the screws to the end at this point.
Place the blades on the two remaining spaces. Screw these with the 2 screws. Adjust the assembly in a manner allowing to have a minimum space between the blades and locks, tighten the screws.
Installation of 3 Blades:
Locate the marks to install 3 blades on the motor board. Place the three
blades without tightening them to the end at this point.
Once the three blades are installed, adjust them so that the space between the blades is minimal. Now, tighten the screws to the maximum.
ATTENTION! Be careful when assembling the parts, only one unassembled item can slightly unbalance the fan. Please do not forget a single element, screws, washers.
LIGHT / DECORATIVE COVER FOR OPEN BLADES
VARIATION WITH LIGHT
Attention! Turn off the power line of your fan through your circuit
breaker.
Remove one of the three screws from the rotor holder, and unscrew the other
two out by 3-4 mm. Attach the light kit to the fan, fix the first screw back
to the hole and tighten all three screws firmly.
- Direct plug in the wire to the light kit connector.
- Install the lamp-shade into the light kit.
- Replaceable (LED only) light source by end-user
- Replaceable control gear by a professional
VARIATION WITHOUT LIGHT KIT
There is a round fixing plate on the bottom of the motor rotor, unscrew the 3
screws from this plate. Insert the cable inside the hole in the rotor. Then
hold the plate and fix it using the three screws. Do not completely tighten
your screws, turn the plate so that the holes are at the smallest hole
diameter, and tighten the screws.
Now, take the cover carefully, and turn it in the holder clockwise so that it is screwed into the holder.

BALANCING YOUR FAN
The correct balancing of the fan requires an equal weight spread on equal
places on the blades.
There are four points to check:
- The blades must be at the same height.
- The blades must be at the same distance from each other.
- The blades must be the same length relative to the engine.
- Blades weight.
1 Blades height
Measure the distance between the blades and the ceiling. To do this, choose a
marker at the end of the blade, and measure the distance between the blade and
the ceiling. All blades must be at the same distance.
If this is not the case, there can be several possible reasons for this:
- A washer might be missing.
- The blade is poorly installed or poorly tightened.
- The fan is poorly placed in the mounting plate; the ball is not in the groove.
- Fixing the rod at the coupler is not done in the right way, and causes the fan not to be vertical.
Adjust the height problem and move on to the next point.
2 Distance between the blades
Choose a mark on the tip of the blades and use the same mark on each blade.
Using a meter, measure the distance between each blade, it must be the same.
If this is not the case, unscrew slightly the screws that support the blades,
place the blades on the correct axis and tighten them.
3 Blades Length
One of the blades maybe 3 or 4 millimeters longer, because when it is
installed, by tightening the screws, the blade can slide upwards. Check the
distance from the center of your fan toward the blade tip. If you notice that
one of the blades is longer, loosen the screws of this blade, and tighten them
firmly, making sure the blade does not slip.
4 Blades Weight
Once you have measured the previous three points, switch on your fan and check
if it is vibrating. If this is not the case, you have just finished installing
your fan.
- If you notice a vibration, proceed as follows:
- Use the balancing kit, take the pliers from the kit.
- On the first blade, at the end pinch the pliers and spin your fan.
- If you notice that the fan does not vibrate, remove the pliers, use a 1-gram lead and stick it at the end of the blade, on its upper side (facing the ceiling).
- If the vibration continues, proceed for each blade in the same way until any vibration disappears.
MAINTENANCE
- 10 days after the installation of your fan, check the screws of the blades, and all the fixings of your fan.
- If necessary, screw the screws again. In case you notice that the fan attachment has gotten loose, re-install it.
- Clean your fan with a dry, non-abrasive cloth to prevent damaging the paint
- You should not oil the fan; the latter is equipped with a self-lubricating motor, that uses a high specific viscosity oil.
- In case of any doubt, please contact your distributor
For these operations, make sure the power supply is off.
