*IP67 means that the module is dustproof and waterproof to a depth of less than 1 meter for 30 minutes. Batteries and chargers are not IP rated.

TROUBLESHOOTING

LED BLINKING

If the LED of the clim8® module starts blinking:

• Orange LED, slow blinking: the product is running out of battery. Please refer to battery charging instructions.
• Purple LED, fast blinking: the firmware of the product is being updated. DO NOT disconnect the battery!
• Red LED, fast blinking: please try to disconnect and reconnect the battery. If the problem persists, please remove the battery and contact clim8.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

BATTERIES

FIRST USE AND CHARGING THE BATTERIES

Important note: charge the batteries prior to first use. Charging procedure:

1. Plug the charger into the wall socket and connect the wire to the batteries.
2. While recharging, the light on the charger will turn RED.
3. Once the batteries are fully charged, the charging process automatically ends and the charge indicator changes back to GREEN.
4. After the end of the charging process, please disconnect the batteries from the charger.

HOW TO SWITCH AC PLUGS

1. Push and hold the button next to the plug while turning the plug slightly
2. Remove the plug.
3. Install the correct plug by inserting it slightly turned clockwise.
4. Turn the plug clockwise until you hear a click.

INSERTING THE BATTERIES

To insert/replace the batteries, proceed as follows:

1. Open the inside pocket of the product.
2. Disconnect the battery connector from the product.
3. Remove the batteries and replace them with new ones. Dispose the old batteries properly.
4. Connect the battery connector to the product.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Check to make sure that the batteries are properly connected with the heated garment (plug locked into place).
• Always set the heated garment to your initial reference temperature to maintain the comfortable warm body temperature.
• For electronic modules without IP67, do not immerse the product.

TURN GARMENTS ON/ OFF

To turn your garment on/off, simply connect/disconnect the batteries.

• Auto-detection (gloves only):
  gloves will only start heating when inserting your hands. To preserve battery, removing your hands puts your gloves in Stand by mode.

DOUBLE TAP FUNCTION

On your jacket, simply double tap the clim8® module with two fingers. The LED color will change accordingly to the active mode:

*The LED indicator is on the clim8® module attached on the garment.

HEAT SETTINGS AND DURATION

You can manually adjust the heat on your phone directly within the clim8 app. The higher the target temperature is, the shorter the battery is going to last. The heating duration per charge depends on the selecting/calibrated temperature, your profile, your activity and the ambient temperature and weather conditions as well as charging status of the batteries.

SERVICE, STORAGE AND CARE

For long-term storage, disconnect the battery from the product. We recommend discharging and recharging the batteries halfway at least every 6 months. This ensures that the maximum battery power is preserved for many years!

DRYING AND CLEANING (ALL PRODUCTS)

Note: Please make sure to remove the battery before cleaning the product. Batteries should never be immersed.

DRYING AND CLEANING (GLOVES)

Soiled gloves should be cleaned delicately using a damp cloth or, where necessary, with a clothes brush. For the persistent stains, you can use a neutral soap. For the leather gloves in particular, apply a special waterproofing wax regularly. Dry away from heat source and from direct sun.

The gloves should never be immersed or washed in the washing machine or by hand.

DRYING AND CLEANING (JACKET)

Fasten all zipper prior to washing your jacket. Machine wash and rinse in cold water, gentle cycle.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Keep these important instructions for future reference.

• Do not use with a helpless person, an infant or a person insensitive to heat.
• Overlong application at high setting can result in skin burns. Please consult your doctor before using this garment if you have problems sensing hot or cold objects (e.g., diabetics, disabled persons, Raynaud’s, etc.).
• This garment is not suited for children or for people with the inability to sense heat on the skin (e.g. a metabolic disorder commonly associated with diabetes). People with a heart pacemaker, metal implants or insulin pump should first consult with their doctor before using the product.
• Excessive heat levels over prolonged periods can lead to burns.
• Check your hands regularly for reddening of the skin.
• Check the device regularly for signs of wear or damage. If you notice any of these signs, if the device was used improperly or if the device does not work, bring
• it back to the dealer before using it again.
• Not suitable for children under the age of 36 months.
• Children may only use the product under the supervision of an adult.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they are not using the product as a toy.
• The device may not be used to warm animals.
• Please read the operating instructions carefully.
• Only use the supplied charger to charge the device. It is designed for indoor use and must not be exposed to humidity.
• The batteries are water repellent. If you have attached the batteries toyour garment, they should always be connected to their cables to prevent moisture and dirt from entering the connecting socket of plug.
• Do not insert any metal or other objects into sockets or plugs because this can damage the product.
• To reduce the risk of fire or burns, do not open, do not dissemble, do not crush, do not puncture, do not dispose in fire or water the battery, do not short external contacts.
• Damaged batteries must no longer be used and must be disposed immediately.
• If the charging cables or any other parts of the product are damaged, discontinue the use of the product.
• Do not modify the product or divert it from its intended use.
• Damaged chargers or charging cables cannot be repaired.
• Dispose of the charger in accordance with local regulations at a collection site for electronic waste.
• The product is not intended for use in hospitals.
• The drying temperature may not exceed 140°F/60°C; therefore, never use a dryer of radiator to dry the heated garment.
• Avoid kinking the product by placing other object on top of it during the storage.
• Never use if inner liner is wet.
• We do not recommend to use your clim8 product with an avalanche transceiver.
• The garment must only be ope rated with the supplied batteries.
• Do not sleep with your garment while it is still switched on.
• If the temperature sensors are damaged, return the garment to your local dealer prior to any further use.

CAUTION!

Never try to open the battery pack yourself. Improper handling of the lithium-ion batteries can lead to an explosion. Moreover, the electronics of the heated garment can be damaged.

This product is not suited for being used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapor or gas).

Always remove the charger from the outlet before cleaning it.

WARRANTY

BATTERIES AND CHARGERS

clim8 SAS offers a manufacturer’s warranty of two (2) years from the date of purchase for all clim8® products, in accordance with

European law. The same warranty of two (2) years applies for clim8® products which are sold in the USA and Canada.

Within the warranty period, clim8 will repair or replace the product free of charge to remedy any material or manufacturing defects.

For any repair or replacement service, please contact your dealer or distributor in the first instance, who is responsible for processing guarantee claims.

Equipment plugs do not have a grounding prong. This warranty does not cover any damage resulting from improper use, personal negligence, normal wear (e.g. In the case of textiles) as well as defects that are only slightly detrimental to the value or usability of the product. The original purchase receipt is absolutely and urgently required to process the warranty.

Furthermore, our warranty does not cover any claims based on slight differences in the charge level of several lithium packs in the clim8 app during charging or heating operation since lithium packs and heating elements are naturally subject to production related tolerances. Such minimal differences have no noticeable effect on the product’s heating performance and heating duration.

All warranty claims will be void if:

• Interventions by unauthorized bodies are made
• Parts other than original spare parts are use

The warranty granted by clim8 SAS neither restricts the legal rights of the customer according to the respective applicable  national law, nor the rights of the customer towards the retailer from the purchase agreement made between them.
