LIGHTING TRENDZ KP2 Keyless Keypad
Programming Access Code
Before programming the KP2 access code, thoroughly clean and dry the intended windshield or other glass surface, mount the KP2 securely, and change the ‘RPS’ feature of the CM to Setting 2 or 4.
- Step 1: Choose a code for the KP2, 4-6 digits long (CM depending).
- Step 2: Activate the vehicle’s IGNITION circuit and leave the driver’s door open.
- Step 3: Hold your finger over the button for 2.5 seconds.
- Step 4: The siren will chirp and the red LED will blink, tap the first number, the green LED will turn on, indicating successful entry. When the number is accepted you will hear one siren chirp and the red LED will blink.
- Step 5: Repeat Step 4 until the complete code (4-6 digits) has been entered, wait until you receive 1 siren chirp and 1 parking light flash.
Repeat Steps 2-5 if you receive 3 chirps and 3 parking light flashes indicating programming incomplete.
KP2 Operation (Arm/Disarm)
Arm/Lock
To Arm/Lock the vehicle, hold your finger on the button for 2.5 seconds.
Disarm/Unlock
To Disarm/Unlock, enter access code, 2 seconds after the last number the
system will disarm/unlock.
Adjusting Touch Panel Sensitivity
To change touch sensitivity, set the feature ‘KP2 Sensitivity’ of the CM;
- Option I – Normal sensitivity (default)
- Option II – High sensitivity
- Option Ill – Low sensitivity
- Option IV – Highest sensitivity
Compatible Control Modules and Configuration
CM-X, CM7 Series, and CM-DC3
Connect to the controller RPS port (white 4-pin)
- CM-X Configuration: Feature Option 3-16 to Setting 2 (KP2), Feature Option 4-15 for sensitivity.
- CM7 Configuration: Feature Option 3-16 to Setting 2 (KP2), Feature Option 4-15 for sensitivity.
- CM7300 Configuration: Feature Option 3-16 to Setting 2 (KP2).
- CM-DC3: Limited Operation
CM-900AS, CM-900, and CM2400
Connect to the controller UART port (gray 4-pin), using ‘ANT-Adapter-KP2’
(included in kit)
- CM900S/AS Configuration: Feature Option 4-11 to Setting 3 (KP2), Feature Option 4-15 for sensitivity.
- CM2400 Configuration: Feature Option 3-01 to Setting 2 (KP2), Feature Option 3-03 for sensitivity.
