INSTALLATION

Warning:
For proper installation, the refrigerator must be placed on a levelled surface of hard material that is at the same height as the rest of the floor. This surface must be strong enough to withstand a completely loaded refrigerator.
Refrigerator ventilation. Fig. 2
To improve the refrigerator system efficiency and to save energy, it is necessary to ensure a proper ventilation around the refrigerator to dissipate the heat. For this reason, you should leave enough free space around the refrigerator.
It is advisable to leave at least 50-70 mm of free space from the rear part of the refrigerator to the wall, at least 100 mm space from the surface to the ceiling, at least 100 mm from the side to the wall and a free space in the front part to be able to open the door at 135º. Check figure 2 for reference.
Refrigerator stabilisation
For sufficient stabilisation and air circulation at the lower rear part of the refrigerator, it may be necessary to adjust the lower feet. You can adjust them manually or using a suitable wrench. To allow the doors to close automatically, tilt the upper part back by about 10 mm as shown in figure 3.
Changing the opening direction of the door
If desired, you can change the direction in which the door opens, from the right side (by default) to the left side.
Warning
The refrigerator must not be connected to the power socket when you change the opening direction of the door. Make sure to disconnect the plug from the power socket.
Check figure 4 to check the tools you need.
It is advisable to change the opening direction of the door between two people.

OPERATION

Start-up and temperature control
After installing the refrigerator, wait for at least 5 minutes and plug it to a power socket. Do not store anything on it until the interior temperature is low enough to do so.
When you open the door, the interior light will turn on.
Control panel. Fig. 17
Level 0: refrigerator off. Turn the knob clockwise to turn the refrigerator on.
Level 1: highest temperature setting.
Level 7: lowest temperature setting.
It is advisable to use the medium temperature settings, that is, levels 2, 3 or 4. However, you must always set the temperature level according to your needs, knowing that the lowest temperature helps preserve food and the highest temperature leads to food waste.

Compartment Temperature range (ºC) Suitable food
Refrigerator 2-8 Eggs, cooked food, packed food, fruits and vegetables,

dairy products, cakes, drinks and other food which are not suitable for freezing.
Crisper drawer| 0-4| Fresh pork, beef, fish and chicken, cooked food, etc.

Shelves
The shelves on the refrigerator compartment can be removed to clean them. Fig. 20
Food storage by category: place daily food items at the front of the shelf so that you can reduce the door opening time and avoid food waste due to expiration date.
Crisper drawer
This drawer is suitable to store fruits and vegetables.
Please note that some types of fresh fruit and vegetables are sensitive to cold.

SUGGESTIONS AND USEFUL TIPS

Noises during operation
The following sounds are common in refrigerators:
Clicks: the compressor is switched on or off.
Buzzing sound: the compressor starts running.
Bubbling: you will hear bubbling or splashing sounds when the refrigerant flows.
Splashing: even after the compressor has been switched off, noises can be heard for a short period of time.
Tips on energy saving
Try to avoid keeping the door open for a long period of time to save energy.
Keep the refrigerator away from heat sources (direct sunlight, electric ovens or cookers, etc.).
Do not set the temperature colder than necessary.
Place the refrigerator in a well ventilated room and free from moisture.
If the refrigerator has the correct combination of drawers and shelves, do not modify it, as it has been designed to offer the most efficient energy setting.
Tips for cooling fresh food
Do not place hot food directly in the refrigerator, as the interior temperature will increase, so the compressor will operate at a higher level and will spend more energy.
Cover or wrap food, especially if it has a strong smell.
Place food correctly so air can flow freely around it.
Refrigeration tips
Cooked food, cool dishes, etc. must always be covered and can be placed on any shelf.
Fruits and vegetables must be stored in the crisper drawer.
Butter and cheese must be wrapped.
Milk bottles must have a cap and must be preserved in the door shelves.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

For hygienic reasons, the refrigerator should be cleaned regularly at least every two months.
Warning
The refrigerator cannot be connected to the power socket during cleaning, as there is a risk of electric shock. Before cleaning it, turn off the refrigerator and unplug it from the mains.
Exterior cleaning
To keep your refrigerator in good condition, you should clean it regularly.
Clean the control panel with a soft and clean cloth.
Spray water on a cleaning cloth instead of spraying it directly on the refrigerator surface. This will help distribute moisture evenly over the surface.
Clean the doors and surfaces of the refrigerator with a soft detergent and then dry them with a soft cloth.
Dust accumulation on the condenser increases energy consumption, clean the condenser at the rear of the refrigerator with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
Check the water drainage gap on the rear part of the refrigerator. Clean it if it is blocked with a soft cloth.
Warning
Do not use sharp objects, as they could scratch the surface.
Do not use thinner, car detergent, chlorine-containing detergents, ethereal oil, abrasive cleaners or organic solvents such as benzene for cleaning. They could damage the  surface of the refrigerator and cause a fire.
Interior cleaning
You must clean the interior of the refrigerator periodically.
Clean the interior of the refrigerator with a weak solution of baking soda and then rinse it with warm water using a wrung-out cloth or sponge. Dry it completely before placing the shelves and the crisper drawer back. Dry all the surfaces and the detachable parts thoroughly before placing them back in place.
Defrost
Water on food or water that gets into the air inside the refrigerator when opening and closing the doors can form layers of frost inside the refrigerator. When frost is thick, it will reduce the cooling power. When it is thicker than 10 mm, it must be defrosted in the refrigerator. Control defrosting by turning the temperature selector on or off so that defrosting is not necessary. The defrost water will automatically drain into a drip tray through a drain pipe at the rear of the refrigerator.
Substitution of the LED light
Warning
The LED light can only be substituted by authorised personnel. If the LED light is damaged, contact the official Customer Service of Cecotec for assistance.
Turning off the refrigerator
If it were necessary to turn off the refrigerator for a long period of time, you should follow
these steps to prevent fungus or mould formation in the refrigerator.

  1. Remove all the food.
  2. Turn off the refrigerator by placing the knob on the 0 position and disconnect the plug from the power socket.
  3. Clean and dry the interior completely.
  4. Make sure all doors are slightly open to allow air flow.
