NOTES”.
After reading, keep the document(s) where it will be available for immediate
reference.
Charging and Using the Battery
- Once you connect the AC adaptor to the DC IN jack, the CHARGE indicator blinks three times and charging begins.
- The battery is in charging-only mode while the DC IN jack is plugged in. During this time, you can’t use the amp.
(1) Compatible amps: CUBE Street EX, AC-33, KC-220, BA-330
(2) For the BA-330, use the PSB-12U or PSB-12U2 (sold separately).
CHARGE Indicator | FAIL Indicator | Status | Action |
---|---|---|---|
Lit | Unlit | Charged | The CHARGE indicator turns off approximately 10 minutes |
after charging is completed.
Blinking slowly| Charged to 30% or
greater| Now charging. Allow the battery to keep charging.
Blink| Charged to about less than 30%
Unlit| Blink| Battery voltage is excessively low| •The battery’s voltage may
decrease right after it is used. Remove the BTY-NIMH/A from the amp, and try
charging it again several hours later.
•Try unplugging and plugging the adaptor into the DC IN jack several times.
Once the voltage reaches a level where charging is possible, the FAIL
indicator turns off, the CHARGE indicator blinks and you can keep charging.
- If an AC adaptor is plugged into the DC IN jack but the CHARGE and FAIL indicators remain unlit regardless of the above, either the battery has over-discharged or else the battery is malfunctioning. Contact your dealer or a Roland customer service center.
NOTE
-
Temperature range
during use: 0–40°C
when charge: 5–30°C (3)
when storage: 10–35°C
(3) In order to take full advantage of the battery’s performance, we recommend that you charge it in a temperature range of 5°C–30°C. -
You can charge the battery whenever you feel it’s necessary. We recommend that you charge the battery at least once a week.
-
In the event that you leave the amp on after use and the battery keeps discharging, the battery may over-discharge, causing the safety protection circuit to activate. The battery cannot recharge in this case.
Turn off the amp while not in use, and remove the BTY-NIMH/A from the amp. -
Sounds may distort easily or cut off when played at high volume as the battery power is nearly depleted, but this is not a malfunction. Charge the battery as soon as possible.
-
If you handle batteries improperly, you risk explosion and fiuid leakage. Make sure that you carefully observe all of the items related to batteries that are listed in “USING THE UNIT SAFELY” and “IMPORTANT NOTES”.
Attaching the Battery
Use the screws included with this battery to mount it onto the amp.
