the following instruction manual.
Keep the instruction manual in a safe place for future reference. Pass it on
to the new owner if the appliance is sold or given away.

configuration are possible without prior notice.
Description
This appliance is intended exclusively for chopping solid foodstuffs, such as
vegetables or fruit, and to combine them into a blend, or to blend liquid and
solid foodstuffs into a blend or to combine liquid foodstuffs only. Do not use
the appliance with hard foodstuffs, hot foodstuffs, hot liquids or hot oil.
The appliance is intended exclusively for use in private households and is not
suitable for commercial use.
The appliance is only intended for indoor use.
Use the appliance only as described in this instruction manual. Any other form
of use does not constitute an intended use and can result in material damage
or personal injury.
The manufacturer or dealer accepts no liability for damage or injury resulting
from improper use or use for other than the intended purpose.
For safety reasons, modifications or alterations to the appliance are not
permitted.

Symbol explanation
Read this instruction manual carefully before using the appliance.
Familiarise yourself with the operation, adjustments and functions of
switches. Internalise and follow the safety and operation instructions in
order to avoid possible risks and hazards.
Remove all packaging materials.

Packaging materials are not toys. Children should not play with the packaging
materials, as they pose a risk of swallowing and suffocation!
WARNING! Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left
unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

Protect the appliance and its electrical parts against moisture. Do not
immerse the appliance and its electrical parts in water or other liquids to
avoid electrical shock. Never hold the appliance under running water. Pay
attention to the instructions for cleaning and care.
WARNING! Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or while standing on
a wet floor. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.

Take care to avoid injury from sharp elements.

Avoid contacting moving parts. Wait until all components have completely
stopped before touching them.
This appliance is classified
as protection class II. This means the product is equipped with enhanced or
double insulation between the mains supply circuit and the output voltage or
the metallic casing.

Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children. -
Children shall not play with the appliance.

This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
Improper use

The appliance is only intended for short term operation. After an operation time of 3 minutes, let it cool for at least 30 minutes. Do not overload the appliance.

Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer. They could pose a safety risk to the user and might damage the appliance. Only use original parts and accessories.

WARNING: Potential injury from misuse.
Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning. -
The blender is only to be used with the stand provided.

CAUTION: Ensure that the blender is switched off before removing it from the stand.

Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.

CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food, please refer to chapter “After use”.

Do not pour hot liquid into the appliance as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

This appliance is not suitable for commercial use.
It is only intended to be used in the household. -
The use of extension cords, multiple plugs or power strips is prohibited due to the associated fire hazard.

Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord and do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.

Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.

WARNING! Use this appliance solely in accordance with these instructions. Do not attempt to modify the appliance in any way.

Danger of electric shock! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified personnel only.

Always place and operate the appliance on an even, stable and dry surface able to hold the weight of the appliance.

Never operate the appliance with an empty jug.

Do not try to operate the appliance without a properly attached lid. Do not open the lid before the blade stops running completely.

Do not fill the jugs above the indicated maximum filling height.
-
Keep hands, hair, clothing and utensils away from the cutting blades during operation to avoid injuries and damage of the appliance. A scraper may only be used when the appliance is switched off.
Residual risks
- Connect the mains plug to an easily accessible socket, in order to quickly disconnect the appliance from the mains supply in an emergency.
Electrical safety
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Ensure the rated voltage shown on the rating label corresponds with the voltage of the power supply.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged power cord or plug, when the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- Protect the power cord against damages. Do not let it hang over sharp edges, do not squeeze or bend it. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and open flames and ensure that nobody can pull on or trip over it unintentionally.
- Do not open the housing under any circumstances. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects in any opening of the appliance and do not obstruct the air vents.
- Protect the appliance against heat. Do not place close to open flames or heat sources such as stoves or heating appliances.

OFF: Turns the appliance off.
ON: Appliance switches into mode selection so that an automatic mode can
be selected with the buttons. The button indicators flash.
P: The appliance operates as long as the function control knob is kept in
position P (Pulse mode).
MIN – MAX: The appliance operates in manual mode which allows a
continuous adjustment of speed.
Notes:
• The operating light in the knob lights up as long as the appliance is
operating.
• The speed cannot be adjusted with the knob when an automatic mode is
selected.
| Smoothie button
Press to operate the appliance in automatic smoothie mode. The smoothie button
indicator lights up solidly.
When the smoothie is finished, the appliance stops automatically. All three
button indicators flash.
Note: The automatic operation can be stopped by pressing the Smoothie
button or turning the speed control knob to OFF.
| Auto Clean button
Press to operate the appliance in Auto Clean mode. The Auto Clean button
indicator lights up solidly.
When auto cleaning is finished, the appliance stops automatically. All three
button indicators flash.
Note: The automatic operation can be stopped by pressing the Auto Clean
button or turning the function control knob to OFF.

Press to operate the appliance in automatic ice crush mode. The Ice crush
button indicator lights up solidly.
When ice crushing is finished, the appliance stops automatically. All three
button indicators flash.
Note: The automatic operation can be stopped by pressing the Ice crush
button or turning the speed control knob to OFF.
NOTES:
- Always make sure that the function control knob is set to OFF before connecting the appliance to the power supply and before disconnecting it from the power supply.
- If you are processing solid ingredients, cut them into small pieces (approx. 1.5 cm) first. Ice cubes must not be bigger than 1.5 cm, either.
- The appliance does not operate if the lid is not attached properly (only when using the big jug with lid) or the jug is not locked to the motor unit properly.
- When using the big jug with lid, you can remove the measuring cup from the lid during operation and add ingredients to the jug. Make sure to reinsert the measuring cup afterwards.
- When making a vegetable/fruit juice or crushing ice cubes, add some water to facilitate a smooth blending (2 parts vegetables/fruit/ice cubes, 3 parts water).
After use
Cleaning

Before cleaning, switch off and unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.
-
Never use solvents, abrasive cleaners or alcohol to clean the appliance. Do not clean the appliance with flammable cleaning agents.

Do not immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids. Never hold the motor unit under running water. Make sure that no water enters the motor unit while cleaning it.

Be aware of the sharp cutting blades while cleaning the blade unit!
-
Clean the body of the motor unit with a soft damp cloth and, if necessary, a little mild detergent. Wipe with a dry and soft cloth.

Clean the jugs, the jug lid with measuring cup and the blade unit in warm water, using a soft sponge or brush and a mild detergent. Wipe with a dry and soft cloth.

All parts except the motor unit are dishwasher safe.

You can also clean the inside of the jugs using the Auto Clean mode:
1. Fill the respective jug approx. 1/4 full with water.
2. Connect the jug with the motor unit.
3. Turn the function control knob to ON, then press the Auto Clean button. The appliance starts operating automatically.
4. When auto cleaning is finished, the appliance stops automatically.
5. Remove the jug from the motor unit and rinse the jug under running water. Wipe with a dry and soft cloth. -
The appliance may only be used again after it is dried completely.
Storage
- Before storage, always make sure that the appliance is clean, completely dry and cooled down.
- Attach the blade unit to one of the jugs for storage to avoid accidental contact with the blade. Do not twist it shut completely to allow some air circulation in the jar, preventing bad odors.
- Store the appliance in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and out of the reach of children.
- Preferably store the appliance in its original packaging.
Troubleshooting
Overheating protection
When the appliance is about to overheat, it turns off automatically to prevent
damage. In this case, disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply and
let it cool down completely before using it again.
Disposal
**** This symbol means that the product must not be disposed of as unsorted
waste with normal household waste, but must be brought to separate collection
points for reuse and recycling.
The disposal must comply with the existing local regulations.
For disposal, the product must be taken to a collection point for recycling of
electrical and electronic equipment.
Warranty
The following terms describing the preconditions for and scope of our warranty
do not infringe the warranty rights of the ultimate buyer.
Our warranty for this appliance is granted under the following terms:
As a buyer of a Gutfels appliance you have a manufacturer’s warranty (2 years
from date of purchase).
During this warranty period, you can make your warranty claims directly on the
manufacturer’s Service platform at www.ggv-service.de.
If an additional warranty is concluded between you and your dealer, all claims
against the manufacturer will become void after the end of the 24-month
manufacturer’s warranty. In this case, please contact your dealer directly.
Warranty period
The warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase (proof of purchase
must be presented). During the first 6 months, After Sales Service will fix
defects in the appliance free of charge on condition that the appliance is
accessible for repairs without any great effort. During the following 18
months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already existed at the
time of delivery.
In the case of commercial use (e.g. in hotels, canteens) or joint use by
several households, the warranty period is 12 months from the date of purchase
(proof of purchase must be presented). During the first 6 months, After Sales
Service will fix defects in the appliance free of charge on condition that the
appliance is accessible for repairs without any great effort. During the
following 6 months, the buyer is obliged to prove that the defect already
existed at the time of delivery.
The claim under warranty does not prolong the warranty period for either the
appliance or for newly installed parts.
Scope of the defect remedy
Within the aforementioned periods, we shall remedy all defects in the
appliance that are demonstrably due to defective workmanship or material
defects. Replaced parts become our property.
The warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear, intentional or negligent damage, damage caused by non-
compliance with the operating instructions, improper set-up or installation or
by connection to incorrect mains voltage, damage due to chemical or
electrothermal effects or due to other abnormal environmental conditions,
glass, paint or enamel damage and possible colour differences as well as
defective bulbs.
Defects in the appliance resulting from transport damage are also not covered.
We also do not provide any services if – without our special written approval
– work has been carried out on the appliance by unauthorised persons or parts
of third-party origin have been used. This limitation shall not apply to
faultless work carried out by a qualified person using our original parts to
adapt the appliance to the technical safety regulations of another EU member
state.
Scope
Our warranty applies to appliances purchased and in operation in the Federal
Republic of Germany or Austria.
In the case of complaints about defective appliances, the sender’s and
recipient’s addresses must be in the Federal Republic of Germany or Austria.
For appliances purchased and operated in other European countries, the
warranty conditions of the seller apply.
CE marking
**** A conformity assessment procedure has proven that this product was
manufactured in accordance with European directives.
With the CE marking, the manufacturer declares to the responsible EU
authorities that the appliance meets the applicable conformity requirements,
which are specified in the relevant legal provisions of the European Union and
in harmonized standards.
A successful completion of the conformity assessment procedure entitles to
affix the CE mark.
