Floodlight Model No : LED1200E
The 5W SMD LED Rechargeable Emergency Floodlight is a high-quality product
manufactured by Sealey. It is designed to provide a reliable and long-lasting
source of light in emergency situations. The product is rechargeable and comes
with a BS1363/A 3 pin plug. The floodlight is fitted with Class II wiring,
which means it is wired with live (brown) and neutral (blue) wires only and is
marked with the Class II symbol. The product has a fuse rating of 13 Amp.
Product Usage Instructions
- Read the instructions carefully: Before using the product, it is important to read the instructions carefully. Note the safe operational requirements, warnings and cautions. Use the product correctly and with care for the purpose for which it is intended.
- Ensure electrical safety: It is the user’s responsibility to check all electrical equipment and appliances to ensure that they are safe before using. Inspect power supply leads, plugs and all electrical connections for wear and damage. Sealey recommends that an RCD (Residual Current Device) is used with all electrical products. If the product is used in the course of business duties, it must be maintained in a safe condition and routinely PAT (Portable Appliance Test) tested.
- Connect the wires: If you are wiring the product yourself, connect the BROWN live wire to the live terminal
L’ and connect the BLUE neutral wire to the neutral terminal
N’. After wiring, check that there are no bare wires and ensure that all wires have been correctly connected. Ensure that the cable outer sheath extends inside the cable restraint and that the restraint is tight. DO NOT connect either wire to the earth terminal. - Inspect power supply cables and plugs: Regularly inspect power supply cables and plugs for wear or damage and check all connections to ensure that they are secure. Ensure that the voltage rating on the appliance suits the power supply to be used and that the plug is fitted with the correct fuse – see fuse rating in these instructions.
- Avoid pulling the power cable: DO NOT pull or carry the appliance by the power cable. DO NOT pull the plug from the socket by the cable. Remove the plug from the socket by maintaining a firm grip on the plug.
- Replace damaged parts: If the cable or plug is damaged during use, switch the electricity supply and remove from use. Replace a damaged plug with a BS1363/A 3 pin plug. If in doubt, contact a qualified electrician. Replace or repair damaged parts with genuine Sealey parts only. Non-genuine parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
- Disconnect before maintenance: Before changing tubes or performing any maintenance, disconnect the lamp from mains power.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING! It is the user’s responsibility to check the following:
- Check all electrical equipment and appliances to ensure that they are safe before using. Inspect power supply leads, plugs and all electrical connections for wear and damage. Sealey recommend that an RCD (Residual Current Device) is used with all electrical products.
- If the product is used in the course of business duties, it must be maintained in a safe condition and routinely PAT (Portable Appliance Test) tested.
- For electrical safety information, it is important that the following information is read and understood. Ensure that the insulation on all cables and on the appliance is safe before connecting it to the power supply.
- Regularly inspect power supply cables and plugs for wear or damage and check all connections to ensure that they are secure.
- Important: Ensure that the voltage rating on the appliance suits the pow er supply to be used and that the plug is fitted with the correct fuse – see fuse rating in these instructions.

- DO NOT use worn or damaged cables, plugs or connectors. Ensure that any faulty item is repaired or replaced immediately by a qualified electrician.

- Replace a damaged plug with a BS1363/A 3 pin plug. If in doubt contact a qualified electrician.
- Class II products are wired with live (brown) and neutral (blue) only are marked with the Class II symbol;

- Connect the BLUE neutral wire to the neutral terminal ‘N’.

GENERAL SAFETY
WARNING! Disconnect lamp from mains power before changing tubes or performing any maintenance.

Replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine Sealey parts only. Non-genuine parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.

Maintain the light in good condition. DO NOT use the light if damaged.

DO NOT use light close to paint fumes, solvents or other flammable liquids or flammable waste, such as wipes or cleaning rags.
WARNING! Ensure the light is correctly charged before initial use. -
DO NOT allow children to use the light.

DO NOT use if the battery or the lamp casing is damaged.

When not in use store the light in a safe, dry, childproof location.
BATTERY SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Powered by a sealed lead-acid battery which can be dangerous if not handled with care.

Charge battery prior to first use. The battery pack will have been shipped in a low charge state. Minimum initial charge time 20 hours.

DO NOT charge battery when room temperature is below 50°F (10°C) or above 104°F (40°C).
-
DO NOT attempt to recharge the battery by means of a generator or a DC power source.
-
DO NOT short-circuit the battery by linking both terminals with a metal object.
-
DO NOT store the light in locations where the temperature may exceed 104°F (40°C) such as outside sheds, above heaters, or metal buildings in summer.
WARNING! Dispose of spent battery correctly and in accordance with local regulations as it contains acid.
▲ DANGER! DO NOT attempt to dismantle the battery pack. For safety and environmental reasons DO NOT discard in domestic waste or by burning. ONLY discard or recycle according to local waste authority regulations.
WARNING! DO NOT allow a leaking battery to come into contact with skin. If contact with battery fluid occurs take immediate action:- Skin contact: Wash immediately with soap and water.
- Eye contact: Flush eye immediately with cool, clean running water for at least 15 minutes, seek immediate medical attention.
INTRODUCTION
LED Light automatically comes on when power source is switched
off. Maximum run time of 6 hours to provide light for a prolonged period
during power failure. 5W SMD LED Dual mode setting producing up to 500 Lumens
which can illuminate a large room/area. Floodlight has a built-in charging
cable, battery and stand. Featuring charging level indicator. 3.7V 4000mAh Li-
ion battery.

OPERATION
CHARGING THE UNIT
- The unit will charge when plugged into mains supply regardless of function switch position. To achieve fastest charge put function switch to the ‘OFF’ position.
- It is important that the light is recharged for approximately 18-24hours before it is used for the first time.
- Charge at least every three months to maintain optimal battery life.
- Open the power cable compartment at the back of the light.(fig.2) Uncoil the power cable and plug it into the mains power supply. The red LED will light to indicate the presence of mains power.
- The battery pack will take approximately 20 hours to charge initially. Subsequent charging times will depend on the state of discharge of the battery pack.
- When charging is complete indicated by Green LED will illuminate(fig.1) then unplug the mains power cable and stow it back in the
compartment.(fig.2)
USING THE LIGHT
- The function switch has three positions:(fig.1)- 1 Low – OFF – High.
- Select the required brightness using combination using the function switch.
- The lamp is fitted with a carrying handle (fig.3) and a support stand (fig.4)
- The light will function as an emergency light if the function switch is placed in either the Low or High position whilst connected to the mains. In case of a mains electricity failure, the selected Low or High will light. Restoration of mains power will switch the light off again.(There is also a test function to be sure that the light is operational).After a full charge the light will run for approximately 3hr on High and 6hrs on Low.
- This unit is Splash Resistant and NOT Waterproof so do not immerse the Floor Light in water.
- DO NOT store the Floor light in humid, damp areas nor allow it to be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods as this may damage the unit.
MAINTENANCE
Clean the unit with a damp cloth and a mild soapy solution. DO NOT use
solvents or abrasive cleaners.
ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools,
accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and
disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the
product becomes completely unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any
fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and
fluids according to local regulations.
WEEE REGULATIONS
Dispose of this product at the end of its working life in compliance with the
EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). When the
product is no longer required, it must be disposed of in an environmentally
protective way. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling
information.
BATTERY REMOVAL
Under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Jack Sealey Ltd
are required to inform potential purchasers of products containing batteries
(as defined within these regulations), that they are registered with Valpak’s
registered compliance scheme. Jack Sealey Ltd’s Batteries Producer
Registration Number (BPRN) is BPRN00705.
