Product Information
The 2000 Lumen Battery Worklight is a battery-powered work spotlight that is designed to illuminate work areas for indoor and outdoor use. It is intended for private use only and is not suitable for commercial use. The spotlight comes with a USB charging cable, a battery level indicator, a USB-C port, a USB port, a protective cover, and an on/off switch. The spotlight is made in China and distributed and sold exclusively by ALDI Batavia, IL 60510. The model number of the spotlight is 1148, and it comes with original instructions.
Product Usage Instructions
Before using the spotlight, read the operating instructions carefully, especially the safety instructions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or damage to the spotlight. Keep the operating instructions for future reference.
- Step 1: Attach the handle to the spotlight.
- Step 2: Connect the USB charging cable to the USB-C or USB port of the spotlight and plug it into a power source to charge the battery. Do not bend the USB charging cable or place it over sharp edges.
- Step 3: Check the battery level indicator to see how much charge is left in the battery. Press the battery level indicator button to turn on the indicator.
- Step 4: Turn on the spotlight by pressing the on/off switch. Use the spotlight to illuminate work areas for indoor and outdoor use.
- Step 5: When the battery is fully charged and you want to clean the spotlight or if a malfunction occurs, always turn it off and unplug the USB charging cable from the USB ports.
Note that the spotlight should not be immersed in water or other liquids, positioned over tubs, sinks and other objects filled with water, or placed near naked flames and hot surfaces. Also, keep the spotlight and USB charging cable away from children and observe country-specific guidelines and laws.

hese operating instructions pertain to this battery-powered work spotlight
(hereinafter referred to as “light”). It contains important information on
putting the spotlight into operation and handling. Read these operating
instructions carefully, especially the safety instructions, before using the
spotlight. Failure to follow these operating instructions may result in
serious injury or da-mage to the spotlight.
These operating instructions are based on the standards and regulations valid
in the European Union. In other countries, also observe country-specific
guidelines and laws.
Keep these instructions for further use. If you pass this spot-light on to a
third party, be sure to include these operating instructions.
Intended use
This spotlight is designed exclusively to illuminate work areas for indoor and
outdoor use. It is intended for private use only and is not suitable for
commercial use.
Only use this spotlight as described in these operating instruc-tions. Any
other use is considered improper and may result in property damage or even
personal injury. This spotlight is not a child’s toy.
The manufacturer or retailer accepts no liability for damage caused by
improper or incorrect use.

General safety instructions
WARNING!
Danger of electric shock!
- The light source of this device is not replaceable.
- When the light source reaches its end of life, the entire device must be replaced.
- Connect this spotlight only to an easily accessible USB port so that you can quickly disconnect it from the power supply in the event of a malfunction.
- Do not operate the spotlight if it has visible damage or if the power cord or power plug is defective.
- Never open the housing; leave repairs to specialists. Please contact a specialized workshop if repairs are needed. All warranty and liability claims expire if you perform repairs yourself, or if the product is not properly connected or used.
- Only parts that correspond to the original device data may be used for repairs. This spotlight contains electrical and mechanical parts that are essential for protection against sources of danger.
- Do not immerse this spotlight or the USB charging cable in water or other liquids.
- Do not position the spotlight over tubs, sinks and other objects filled with water.
- Never reach for an electrical appliance connected to the mains if it has fallen into the water. In such a case, immediately disconnect the power plug from the socket.
- Keep the spotlight and USB charging cable away from naked flames and hot surfaces.
- Do not bend the USB charging cable or place it over sharp edges.
- When the battery is fully charged and you want to clean the spotlight or if a malfunction occurs, always turn it off and unplug the USB charging cable from the USB ports.
- Keep the spotlight and USB charging cable out of reach of children.
- The spotlight’s battery is not replaceable. Never attempt to replace the battery.
- Only charge the spotlight‘s battery indoors.

- This spotlight may be used by children of 8 years and older, by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or persons without relevant experience and knowledge, if they are attended or after they have been properly instructed as to how to use the spotlight safely, and if they have understood any resulting hazards. Do not let children play with this spotlight. Never let children perform any cleaning or maintenance work unattended.
- Keep children younger than eight years away from the spotlight and the connecting cable.
- Do not let children play with the packaging film. Children can get caught in it while playing and suffocate.
Explosion and fire hazard!
Improper handling of the spotlight and battery can cause an explosion or fire.
- Keep the spotlight away from any liquids, open flames and hot surfaces.
- Do not cover this spotlight with any objects or clothing.
- Keep a distance of at least 5 cm from easily flammable materials.
- Do not expose the spotlight to excessive heat, such as direct sunshine, fire or the like.
- Only charge this spotlight with the accessories supplied.
Risk of chemical burns!
Leaking battery fluid may cause burns if it comes into contact with the skin or other parts of the body.
- Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucosa in case of leaking battery fluid. After any contact, rinse the affected part of body with sufficient quantities of clear water and immediately see a doctor.
- In the event of a battery leak, it is essential to wear protective gloves and remove leaked battery fluid with a dry, absorbent cloth.
Cleaning
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the spotlight may damage it.
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles or sharp or metallic cleaning objects such as knives, hard spatulas, etc. These can damage the surfaces.
- Do not immerse the spotlight or USB charging cable in water for cleaning and do not put any of its parts in the dishwasher under any circumstances.
- Do not clean the spotlight or USB charging cable under running water and do not spray the parts with a garden hose or high-pressure cleaner.
- Remove dust and dirt from the spotlight with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Use some mild detergent for tough dirt, if necessary.
Storage
- Fully charge the battery of the spotlight before storing it (see chapter “Charging the spotlight”).
- Always store the spotlight in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and inaccessible to children.
Risk of injury!
The light from the LED is very bright and can damage the eyes if you look directly into it.
- Never look directly into the illuminated LED of the spotlight.
- When using the spotlight, be careful not to shine it into the eyes of people or other living creatures.

Improper handling of the spotlight may damage it.

Place the spotlight on an easily accessible, level, dry, heat-proof and sufficiently stable worktop surface. Do not place the spotlight near the edge or end of the surface.

Do not place the spotlight near any hot surfaces (e.g., stove top).

Ensure that the USB charging cable does not come into contact with hot parts.

Do not expose the spotlight to the weather.

Do not use this spotlight for excessive time.
To avoid harmful deep discharge, recharge the battery after this time. -
If you do not plan to use the spotlight for an extended period of time, fully charge the battery before storing it.

The spotlight is not dimmable and must not be operated with an external dimmer.
Initial commissioning
Check the spotlight and included parts
Risk of damage! Carelessly opening the packaging with a sharp knife or other
pointed objects can quickly damage the spotlight.
Proceed with great care when opening
- Take the product out of the packaging.
- Check if the delivery is complete (see Fig. A).
- Please check the spotlight itself and all its components for damage. Should you detect any damage, do not use the spotlight. Pleas contact the manufacturer’s service address stated on the warranty card.
Charge the spotlight
You must first fully charge the spotlight’s battery before using it for the first time. Charging takes about 5-6 hours.
- Ensure that the spotlight is switched off.
- Unwrap the USB charging cable 2 completely.
- Plug the supplied USB charging cable 2 into the USB-C socket 5 on the spotlight (see Fig. B) and connect the cable to a SELV-safe charging adapter (not included/5 V, max. 2 A).
- The battery status indicator 3 flashes green when the battery is charging (see Fig. B).
- As soon as the battery is fully charged, all four lamps of the battery status indicator 3 light up green. Disconnect the spotlight from the power supply.
The product cannot be switched on during the charging process, thus continuous operation is not possible.
Operation
The spotlight offers three brightness levels (100%, 50% and 25%).
- Press the battery level indicator button 4 to check the battery level (see Fig. B). When the battery is fully charged, all four lamps of the battery status indicator 4 light up green. The lower the charge level, the fewer lamps light up. When the battery is fully charged, the operating time is approx. 2 hours.
- Carry the spotlight by the carrying handle 1 to the desired place of use.
- To switch on the spotlight, press the On/Off switch 8 (see Fig. B).
- The LED lights up at brightness level 100%.
- To reduce the brightness, press the On/Off switch 8 very lightly.
- The LED lights up at brightness level 50%.
- To reduce the brightness further, press the On/Off switch
- very lightly again.
- The LED lights up at brightness level 25%.
- To set up the spotlight, fold out the carrying handle 1 so that the light falls on the application surface at the desired angle.
- To switch off the spotlight, press the On/Off switch 8 .
Using the battery as a power bank
Connect your device to be charged to the spotlight via a USB charging cable by inserting the USB plug into the USB socket 6 (see Fig. B).
Disposal
Disposing of packaging
Please dispose of package in an environmentally friendly way.
Disposing of the product
- If the product should no longer work at all, please make sure that it is disposed of in an environmentally friendly way and according to local regulations.
- Batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of with household waste!
- As the end user, you are required by law to bring all batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless whether they contain harmful substances or not, to a collection point run by the city, county, or state, or to a retailer, so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. labeled with: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Li= Lithium, Pb = lead
