Product Information
The Carver is a vehicle available in two models: Carver Base and R+ (Quadricycle) and Carver S+ (Three-wheeled motor vehicle). The Carver Base and R+ fall under the category of quadricycle, which means they have to drive on the carriageway in built-up areas. Outside of built-up areas, they have to ride on cycle paths or 40mph (60km/h) roads. The maximum speed for quadricycles on the carriageway is 28mph. On the other hand, the Carver S+ falls under the category of a three-wheeled motor vehicle, which means it must drive on the carriageway both within and outside of built-up areas.

READY TO GET STARTED
Your own safety and the safety of others is paramount. That is why it is important to observe local traffic regulations. Drive a safe distance from the vehicles around you, drive in the centre of the carriageway and drive as if you are driving a car.
Safety messages
You drive the Carver like a car, but it protrudes like a motorbike when you turn. This is due to the way the Carver tilts when you go around a bend. The tilting mechanism means you feel it less intensely when you go around a bend. In the Carver you will hear audible safety messages. These messages increase in frequency as the tilt angle increases. Adjust your driving behaviour according to the safety messages, lower your speed and gradually loosen your grip on the steering wheel to make the Carver more upright.
It is important that you take the time to learn how to drive the Carver and that you follow these basic principles:
- Avoid abrupt steering movements
- Take corners from the outside in
- Correct using gentle steering movements
- Reduce your speed in windy weather
- Never drive (too) fast in reverse
Calibrating
You may notice that your Carver is not standing entirely straight. You can
calibrate the Carver yourself by following these steps:
- Place the Carver on a flat surface
- Turn the key in the Carver’s ignition
- Hold the “N” down for ten seconds until the Carver switches into service mode
- Click the “N” three times in a row
- Then you use “D” and “R” to calibrate the Carver straight
- Click on the “N” three times again to save the calibrated position
- Then switch off the Carver and start driving again
