COASTAL 8.0 2-Way Mini Ellipse Bollard
Product Information
The Bollard Speaker Poor Soil Installation is designed to be used in areas with dense clay soils. It is important to ensure proper water drainage to prevent the speakers from moving or shifting after installation. The installation process involves excavating a hole, filling the lower portion of the hole with clean stone, carefully lowering the speaker into the hole, and backfilling around the diameter of the speaker with existing soil or clean sand.
Product Usage Instructions
- Excavate a hole based on the size of your speaker (refer to product specifications).
- Fill the lower 1/3 of the hole with clean stone (1/2-3/4) and compact it with a hand tamper.
- Carefully lower the speaker into the hole, making sure you allow 1″ below the base of the sub-grill (10.0 3-Way & 10.0 Subwoofer) or 1″ below the drainage outlet (10.0 2-Way & 10.0 Subwoofer).
- Backfill around the diameter of the speaker with existing soil or clean sand, compacting in 6 lifts.

- Backfill around the diameter of the speaker with existing soil or clean sand, compacting in 6” lifts.
