INSTRUCTION
IMPORTANT! The following instructions must be followed exactly to ensure that the correct bird sound is heard on each hour.
SETTING THE TIME: (Remove batteries before beginning)
- Turn the hand set knob in rear of movement clockwise or counterclockwise to read 10 minutes before 1:00 o’clock. (12:50)
- Insert 3 “M” size batteries (not included) into the battery compartments. Make sure that the battery polarity (+1-) is as indicated.
- Turn the handset knob to adjust to desired time.
HOURLY SOUNDS
1:00 – American Robin
2:00 – Northern Mockingbird
3:00 – Blue Jay
4:00 – House Wren
5:00 – Tufted Titmouse
6:00 – Baltimore Oriole
7:00 – Mourning Dove
8:00 – Black-capped Chickadee
9:00 – Northern Cardinal
10:00 – White-throated Sparrow
11:00 – White-breasted Nuthatch
12:00 – House Finch
NOTE: Each time the red button is pressed, this advances bird sounds to
the next hour. Follow the instructions above to syncronize sounds to hear
correct bird sound each hour.
LIGHT SENSOR (CDS) This clock has a silence function controlled by a
light sensor positioned above the 12 o’clock position. The light sensor
automatically turns the sounds off when the room is dark. If the sounds are
low, please move to a brighter area of the room.
GENERAL INFORMATION
To clean the outside surface, use a clean, dry, soft cloth to wipe away fingerprints or dust. Do not use any solvents or abrasive cleaners or polish.
BATTERY NOTICE
For best results, use alkaline, standard (Carbon Zinc) or Rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) batteries and do not mix them. Do not mix old and new batteries. Replace all batteries at one time. To avoid leakage or explosion, do not put batteries in fire. Remove batteries if consumed or if product is to be left unused for long periods of time. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the devices prior to battery installation. Batteries should be recycled or disposed of as per state and local guidelines.
