POWER

  1. Insert the included USB-C power adapter into the power input located at the pack of your speaker.
  2. Plug the other end of the power adapter into a suitable power outlet.

USING YOUR REMOTE

Press the Standby/On button to go between Standby mode and On.
Press the Mute button to mute sound/music.
Press the AUX, Bluetooth, FM and USB buttons to choose mode.
Press the MENU button to enter menu.
Press the BACK button to return to the previous menu.
Press the button to pause or play in Bluetooth or USB playback mode.
Press the VOL- button to lower the volume.
Press the VOL+ button to raise the volume.
Press the
button to go to the next song.
Press the button to go to the previous song.
Press the TONE button to adjust the Bass & Treble.
Press the TUNE/RPT button to enter analog style manual tuning in FM mode or to repeat track in USB mode.

Speaker - controls Press the Bluetooth button to turn on Bluetooth mode.
Press the FM button to turn on FM mode.
Press the MENU button to enter menu.
Press the BACK button to return to the previous menu.
Press the Play/Pause/Volume knob to: Pause or play the track in Bluetooth or USB mode. Mute sound on AUX or FM mode. Confirm in menus.
Rotate the Play/Pause/Volume Knob to control volume.
Press the 1/>|, 2| Tune or 3/>| buttons to select the first 3 presets in FM mode.
Press and hold the 1/>| or 2| Tune buttons to scan backwards/forwards in FM Mode.
Press and hold the 2| Tune button to enter analog style manual tuning in FM mode.
Press the 1/>| or 3/>| buttons to skip back/forwards in Bluetooth or USB mode.
BLUETOOTH FUNCTION
The Bluetooth feature enables you to stream and play digital music from your Bluetooth enabled device to your speaker.

  1. 1. With your speaker powered on, press the Bluetooth button to activate Bluetooth mode.
  2. Go to the Bluetooth settings menu of your phone or Bluetooth compatible device and make sure Bluetooth is turned ON. Then, connect to the device listed as “AIWA Exos 5”.Huizhou Oppen Electronic Technology Co Ltd T014 Exos 5 Wireless Speaker - fig 1
  3. You can use the speaker, remote or the connected device to adjust the volume.

Note: To disconnect from a previously paired device and pair a new one, press and hold the volume knob in.

AUX IN FUNCTION

You can play other music sources (iPods, MP3 players or other analog sources) by connecting the AUX IN Jack to your external player’s audio out jack or headphone jack.

  1. Plug one end of a 3.5mm AUX cable (included) into the AUX IN Jack located on the rear of the speaker and the other end of the cable to the headphone jack of your source device.
  2. Press the Menu button then select the LINE IN/AUX MODE.
  3. Turn on and start playing the external device you plugged into the AUX IN Jack.
  4. Slowly adjust both the volume controls of your unit and the external device until you reach a comfortable listening level.
  5. Turn off both the external audio player and your speaker after use. Unplug the audio cable from AUX IN Jack.

USB FUNCTION
You can play music from a USB thumb drive. Plug a suitably formatted USB stick with music files on it into the rear USB socket. Note: The Exos 5 can play files in mp3, wav and flac formats.
The Exos 5 will scan the drive and start playback. If you change to another source you can also re-select USB playback via the Menus. Use the Play/Pause,
Forward and Back buttons on the speaker and remote to control playback. You can also use the USB port to charge devices that are compatible with a USB charging cable.
BASS/TREBLE
Select the BASS or TREBLE menu. Use the volume knob to turn up or down the Bass 12db at 100Hz, shelving) or Treble 12db at 10kHZz), shelving.
FM RADIO FUNCTION
Press the FM/Radio button on your remote or speaker to enter FM/Radio Mode. Press the 1/>|, 2| Tune or 3/>| buttons to select the first 3 presets .
You can select more presets by using the numerical buttons on the remote or using the RECALL PRESET menu.
Press and hold the 1/|< or 2/>| buttons to scan backwards/forwards until the Exos 5 finds a strong signal.
Note: The FM antenna MUST be connected for FM operation.
SETTING YOUR RADIO PRESETS

  1.  To store a station as a preset, press the Menu button when in FM mode and select STORE PRESET MENU.
  2.  Scroll to the preset you wish to store the current station in, then press in the volume knob to confirm.

AUTOSTORE
In FM mode press and hold the volume knob in. The Exos 5 performs a scan of the FM band and stores the strongest signals it finds as presets.
ANALOG STYLE MANUAL TUNE MODE
Press and hold the 2| Tune button to engage manual analog style tuning mode.
In this mode ‘Tuning’ appears in the display and you can use the volume knob to scroll up and down the tuning dial to any frequency. Press the volume knob in to exit manual tuning.

SETTING THE TIME

  1. Press the Menu button and select the CLOCK menu.
  2. Use the volume knob to adjust the first item (hours) then press it in to store and move to the next item (minutes). AM/PM changes automatically when you roll over 12:00.
  3. Do this for all items. The day is set automatically from the date.

SETTING AN ALARM

  1. Press the Menu button and select the ALARM menu.
  2. Use the volume knob to scroll and select one of 5 alarms you can set then press it into enter the setting menu.
  3. Adjust the first item (hours) then press it in to store and move to the next item (minutes). AM/PM changes automatically when you roll over 12:00.
  4. Set the day or range of days you want the alarm to sound for. Once means the alarm will sound then next time it’s time is reached and then will not sound again.
  5. You can turn On/Off any alarm also within this menu without losing its settings.

RESET SPEAKER
Reset your speaker to default settings by pushing a pin into the reset button on your speaker.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock, dust or extreme temperatures.
  2. To prevent fire or shock hazard, disconnect your unit from the power source when cleaning.
  3. Do not tamper with the internal components of the unit.
  4. Clean your unit with a dry cloth. Solvents or detergents should never be used.
  5. Avoid leaving your unit in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty places.
  6. Keep your unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent lamps or motors.

CAUTION: Never allow any water or other liquids to get inside the unit while cleaning.
