The BLG2800, BLG8000, and BLG8500 are table top gas cookers manufactured by Nikolaou Tools. Product Usage Instructions

Before using the product, it is important to read the instruction manual carefully and keep it in a safe place for future reference. Follow the below instructions to use the product:

  1. Place the cooker on a flat surface, ensuring it is stable.
  2. Connect the gas connector to the cooker.
  3. Turn on the gas supply.
  4. Press the knob and turn it to ignite the burner. The auto-ignition feature will catch fire 100% of the time.
  5. Adjust the flame using the knob to obtain the desired heat level.
  6. After use, turn off the gas supply and allow the cooker to cool down before cleaning it.

Note: Always use the product with the supplied equipment to avoid malfunctions or serious injury or death. All repair, inspection, repair or replacement work, including maintenance and special adjustments, must only be carried out by technicians of the authorized service department of the manufacturer to ensure the safety and reliability of the product and the warranty validity.

Safety Instructions

  • Do not use a gas other that which is specified on the label attached (Fig. 1).
  • Use for cooking only. Do not dry towels, clothes, etc., over it (Fig. 2).
  • Do not use the gas cooker where the flame may be blown off by the wind. Make sure that there are no flammable materials near the gas cooker (Fig. 3).
  • Use only a rubber hose. Do not use a vinyl plastic hose, as this can be dangerous (Fig. 4). While it is in use, see, from time to time, whether it burns normally.
  • After use, turn the ignition knob back to OFF position and make sure the burner is put out (Fig. 5).

When going to bed or leaving the house, be sure to turn off not only the ignition knob but also the main gas valve as well. The main gas valve not in use should be closed and covered by the cap. To avoid damage, do not place charcoal on the burner. Avoid covering the flame with a big plate that covers the gas cooker.

  • Make sure the room is well ventilated. Never use the gas cooker for long periods of time (over 10 minutes ) in a small room or in a closed-off space without the ventilation, by the ventilation fan or opening the windows. (Fig. 6)
  • If a gas leak is found, close the main gas valve, open up all windows, and call your dealer. Do refrain from turning an electric switch on or off, lighting a match, or using a lighter. (Fig. 7)
  • The gas cylinder should stand away at least 0.5m from the cooker.(Fig. 8)

Be careful to avoid getting burned by touching the top panel of the gas cooker, as it gets very hot near the burners when in use. When using different kind of gas. The cooker must be renovated by professional person. Otherwise, do not use it. Knob is designed for anti-clockwise ignition, so as to prevent children from turning on the cooker. In the event of a burn back (i.e. where the gas burns back on the jet), tum off the valve and light again. Should the problem persist take the unit back to your dealer for checking.

Before Using the Device

  1. Confirm that you have the right model for your type of gas supply.

  3. Place the gas control knob onto the gas cock axis and push it inwards firmly. (Fig. 10), (Fig. 11)
  4. Attach the rubber legs to the cooker by turning the cooker upside down and screwing them into the openings on the cooker bottom.(Fig. 12)
  5. Install the burners.
  6. Place the trivets on top of the burner. The trivets can be adjusted by turning the screws and then the pan can be put on the trivets steadily.
  7. Push the rubber hose onto the hose joint as far as it will go. Do not use a vinyl plastic hose, as this can be dangerous.   8. When choosing a place to put the gas cooker,be sure to pick a spot that is firm and level. The gas cooker need plenty of space and air. Allow at least 15cm of space on the sides and 100cm above the unit. (Fig.14) if the space is less than 15cm from the in-flammable walls, be sure to provide a heat insulation board. Also be sure to keep paper, oil, and all other inflammable objects away from the gas cooker.
How to use the device

To light the burners

  • Open the main gas valve. Push the gas control knob in and turn it towards the MAX position (counter-clockwise) until you hear the click. Make sure that the burner has been lit (Fig.15) in this position, double burner will light up both the small and large burners. To use only the small burner, release the gas control knob and turn it further to the MIN position. (Fig. 16)
  • To adjust the flame size. Set the gas control knob to a suitable position between MAX (full flame size) and MIN position (small flame size).
  1. Air flow adjustment:
    • The burners usually need no air flow adjustment.
    • If they should ever burn improperly, the air flow can be controlled by adjusting the air damper inside the gas cooker(under the control knob).NIKOLAOU-TOOLS-BLG2800-Monitor-Liquid-Gas-Stove-FIG-19
    • After the gas has been ignited, adjust the air damper until slightly rounded, and vigorous blue flames appear (Fig. 17, 18, 19).

    • This may be the result of air in the gas hose. Turn the gas control knob back to OFF and fry again until the burner ignite.
  3. To turn the burners off:
    • Turn the gas control knobs back to OFF position until you hear a click.
    • Make sure the burner is put out and turn off the main gas valve as well.

Care And Maintenance

  • Before you check and care for your gas cooker, make sure to turn off the main gas valve, and wait for a period not to get burnt.
  • Check the gas hose regularly for wear or leaks. It must be replaced occasionally. Keep it away from heater sources, and keep it clean.
  • Wipe the stainless steel top and body with a dry cloth. If it is difficult to clean, use soapy water and then dry thoroughly with a dry cloth. Wash the trivet in water dry thoroughly before replacing it.
  • The electronic ignition will not function if it is wet. Be careful not to spill water, soup, etc. on it (Fig. 20).
  • For better service and a longer service life, keep the gas cooker clean.

Warning: Do not wash the glass top in water when the top is hot.

Troubleshooting

Trouble Cause Remedy

WARRANTY

The power tools have been manufactured according to strict standards, set by our company, which are aligned with the respective European quality standards. The power tools of our company are provided with a warranty period of 24 months for non-professional use, 12 months for professional use and 6 months for batteries. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase of the product. Proof of the warranty right is the purchase document of the tool (retail receipt or invoice). Under no circumstances shall the company cover the relevant cost of spare parts and respective required working hours unless a copy of the purchase document is presented. In case the repair has to be done by our service department the cost of transportation (to and from) is entirely borne by the sender (client). The tools must be sent for repair to the company or to an authorized workshop in the appropriate way and means of transport.

WARRANTY EXEMPTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS

  • 1) Spare parts that wear out naturally as a consequence of being used (brushes, cables, switches, chargers, chokes etc.).
  • 2) Tools damaged as a result of non-compliance with the instructions of the manufacturer.
  • 3) Tools poorly maintained.
  • 4) Use of improper lubricants or accessories.
  • 9) Damage resulting from the use of salty water (e.g., washing machines, pumps).
  • 10) Damage or malfunction resulting from improper cleaning procedure of the tool.
  • 11) Contact of the tool with chemicals, or damage as a result of moisture or corrosion.
  • 12) Tools that have been modified or opened by unauthorized personnel.
  • 13) Tools used for rent.

The warranty covers only the free of charge replacement of the component that presents a manufacturing defect or material failure. In case of lack of a specific spare part the company reserves the right to replace the tool with another corresponding model. After all warranty procedures have been concluded, the warranty period of the tool shall not be extended or renewed. Replacement of a spare part with repair charge is covered by a 1 year warranty of good operation, subject to compliance with the warranty terms. The spare parts or tools that are replaced remain in the possession of our company. Requirements, other than those mentioned in this warranty form, regarding power tools repair or damage thereof, do not apply. Greek law and relative regulations apply to this warranty.

WARRANTY

This appliance is a quality product. It was designed in compliance with current technical standards and made carefully using normal, good-quality materials. The warranty period is 24 months for non-professional use and 12 months for professional use and commences on the date of purchase, which can be verified by the receipt, invoice or delivery note. During this warranty period all functional errors, which, despite the careful treatment described in our operating manual, are verifiably due to material flaws, will be rectified by our after-sales service staff. The warranty takes the form that defective parts will be repaired or replaced with perfect parts free of charge at our discretion. Replaced parts will become our property. Repair work or the replacement of individual parts will not extend the warranty period not will it result in a new warranty period being commenced for the appliance. No separate warranty period will commence for spare parts that may be ted. We cannot offer a warranty for damage and defects on appliances or their parts caused by the use of excessive force, improper treatment and servicing.

This also applies for failures to comply with the operating manual and the installation or spare and accessory parts that are not included in our range of products. In the event of interference with of modifications to the appliance by unauthorized persons, the warranty will be rendered void. Damages that are attributable to improper handling, overloading, or natural wear and tear are excluded from the guarantee. Damages caused by the manufacturer or by a material defect will be corrected at no charge by repair or by providing spare parts. The prerequisite is that the equipment is handed over assembled, and complete with the proof of sale and guarantee. For a guarantee claim, only use the original packaging. That way, we can guarantee quick and smooth guarantee processing. Please send us the appliances post-paid or request a Freeway sticker. Unfortunately, we will be unable to accept appliances that are not postpaid. The warranty does not cover parts that are subject to natural wear and tear. If you wish to make a warranty claim, report faults or order spare parts or accessories, please contact the after-sales center: Subject to change without prior notice.
