Product Information

The CZ20053 Aegis RCD Tester is a fully featured digital device designed to meet Australian and New Zealand safety requirements. It is an essential piece of equipment for every workplace that tests all Residual Current Devices (RCDs) for electrical safety to AS/NZS 3760:2010. The RCDs are designed and specified to protect people and equipment from the danger of electrical faults. The CZ20053 is a full feature, high accuracy RCD tester providing electricians with all the features required for RCD testing. It is made to be rugged to withstand everyday operation required within the electrical industry. All components of the RCD are contained in a carry case, and all test leads are supplied so you can start testing as soon as you take it out of the box.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the operational voltage is within the range of 195VAC-253VAC and the frequency is 50Hz.
  2. Connect the test leads to the RCD tester.
  3. Turn on the CZ20053 RCD Tester.
  4. Select the appropriate current multiplier (x1/2, x1, x5).
  5. Press the test button to start testing.
  6. Check the full icon display for results.
  7. If the RCD has tripped, check the trip time ranges (40 – 3000ms) that vary with current/multiplier.
  8. If the RCD has not tripped, it is functioning correctly.
