AEGIS PFS-10 Personal Fireproof Safe

Product Information

The Primetal Security Products Personal Fireproof Safe is available in three different sizes: PFS-10, PFS-20, and PFS-30. The safe comes with a set of instructions to guide you through the process of opening, programming, and maintaining the safe. The safe is equipped with an electronic lock that can be programmed with a 3-8 digit passcode. The safe is designed to protect your valuables from theft and fire.

Product Usage

It is important to follow the instructions provided with the safe to ensure proper usage and avoid any potential hazards. Below are some guidelines to follow when using the Primetal Security
Products Personal Fireproof Safe:

  1. Always keep the safe closed and locked when not in use.
  2. Avoid leaving the safe unattended while open.
  3. Keep children away from the safe.
  4. Place the safe in a cool and dry location.
  5. Record the serial number of your safe from the tag on the back of your safe. You will need this serial number for all warranty or customer service inquiries.
  6. Avoid storing electronic media, photographic media, and all audio-visual media in the safe for fire protection.

Opening the Safe for the First Time

  1. Remove the back-up key cover.
  2. Insert the back-up key into the keyhole and turn clockwise while turning the knob (master key) clockwise to open the door.
  3. Do not store your back-up keys inside the safe.

Battery Installation and Replacement

  1. Pull out the battery compartment cover and lift up the battery box.
  2. Carefully insert 4 AA batteries, following the positive (+) and negative (-) guides in the compartment.
  3. Put the box back and snap the battery cover back into place.
  4. A green light flashing indicates the operation is correct and successful. During the use of safe, a yellow light flashing indicates low battery.

Programming Your Passcode

  1. Access the reset button by removing the red cap.

  2. Press the reset button, which will result in 1 beep with 1 green light flash.

  3. Input a 3-8 digit passcode within 3 seconds using the keypad.
    Each input will result in 1 beep and 1 green light flash.

  4. Press LOCK to confirm. There will be 2 beeps with a flashing green light, indicating that the new code was successful.

  5. If the red light flashes twice with beeps, the code failed.
    Press the reset button again and repeat the code programming sequence.

  6. If you forget your passcode, you can use your back-up keys at any time to open your safe and reset the passcode. The factory passcode is 1-5-9-LOCK.

Remember that if 3 invalid passcode attempts are made in succession, this will cause 5 beeps with the red light flashing 5 times, and you will be locked out for 60 seconds. You can still use your back-up key at any time to open the safe. If an invalid passcode is entered again, it will be 5 beeps with the red light flashing 5 times, and the user will be locked out for 5 minutes.

  6. Electronic media, photographic media and all audio-visual media should not be stored in the safe for fire protection.

OPENING THE SAFE FOR THE FIRST TIME

  1. Remove the Back-up key cover away.
  2. Insert the Back up key into the keyhole and turn clockwise. At the same time, turn the knob (master key) clockwise to open the door.

BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT

  1. Pull out the battery compartment cover and lift up the battery box, carefully insert 4 AA batteries. Follow the posirive (+) and negative guides in the compartment. Then put the box back.
  2. Snap the battery cover back into place.
    NOTE: Green linght flashing indicates the operation is correct and successful. During the use of safe, Yellow light flashing indicates low battery.

PROGRAMMING YOUR PASSCODE

  1. Access reset button by removing red cap.
  2. Press the reset button, there will be 1 beep with 1green light flash.
  3. Input 3-8 digits in 3 seconds, each input will result in 1 beep and 1 green light flash, then press “LOCK” to confirm. There will be 2 beeps with a flashing green light. It means new code was successful.
  4. If the red light flashes twice with beeps, the code failed. Press reset button again and repeat code programming sequence.
  5. If you forget your code, you can use your back up keys at any time to open your safe and reset the code.
    NOTE: Factory Pass Code is “1-5-9-LOCK”.

UNLOCKING THE SAFE

  1. Press your new cOde (3-8 digits), each input results with green light flashes with 1 beep.
  2. Press’LOCK ” to confirm, there will be 2 beeps and the green light flashes twice. It means the operation is correct. Turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
  3. If the red light flashes three times with 3 beeps, the operation is failed Please enter your code again.

NOTE: If 3 invalid code attempts are made in succession, this will cause 5 beeps with the red light flashesS 5 times and lock the user out for 60 seconds. You can still use your back up key at any time to open the safe. If invalid code is entered again, it will be 5 beeps with the red light flashes 5 times and the user will be locked out 5 minutes.

TURNNG THE KEYPAD SOUND OFF/ON WIH MUTE-SYSTEM

You can mute/ unmute the keypad by entering the “CLEAR” button with 1 green light flash.
NOTE:

  1. In the factory settings, the sound has been turned on.
  2. During the self-locking, no operation is available.

LOCKING THE SAFE

To lock your safe, simply close the door and turn the knob counterclockwise.

SECURING THE SAFE

For optimal security, this safe must be mounted to the floor. Failure to do so will compromise the safety, security and warranty of the safe. Place your safe in a cool and dry location
