INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Never grill your food in the flames. Flames can be caused by residues of grease and juice dripping onto the burners. To imitate the flames, clean the burners regularly, when not in use and when the appliance is completely cool. The burners should ALWAYS be in the low position during cooking. Protect your hands when cooking with protective gloves. Do not use in strong winds. Do not use wood or lava stone.
Installation
After purchasing your gas cylinder you will then be ready to set it up with
your gas grill.
Connect the hose and regulator to the gas container at the left side of the
gas grill. Keeping in mind that the gas container must be kept away from heat
and in a safe position .The hose dimension is 10mm diameter. The Length of
hose recommended which shall not exceed 1.5m. Please choose flexible hose
whose heatproof higher than 80°C
How to change your cylinder
Note: Turn off the switch of cylinder (No spanner is required) If putting
the gas cylinder on the left gas cylinder hook, the height of the gas cylinder
must be below the 55cm, and the width is within 20cm How to connect a gas
bottle
This appliance is only suitable for use with low-pressure butane, propane or
their mixture gas and used with the appropriate low-pressure regulator via a
flexible hose. The hose should be secured to the regulator and the appliance
with hose clips.
Never use a dented or rusty gas cylinder.
How to disconnect a gas bottle
a) Except for twin-cylinder installations with a changeover valve, turn off
the gas tap if fitted to the appliance. Wait until the burner and pilot light
have gone out. For installations with a changeover valve, it is only necessary
to switch off the empty cylinder.
b) Replace the safety cap onto the empty cylinder.
Keep the griddle at least 90cm (36 inches) distance away from the combustible
and non-combustible materials and walls of buildings.
Do not place the griddle where there are combustible surfaces overhead.
Caution: The lid must be open when lighting the burner! Do not stand with
your face directly over the gas grill when lighting it.
Your gas grill will have following method of ignition:
- Ensure all burner control knobs are in the STOP position.
- Turn on the propane gas by turning the hand wheel counterclockwise on the cylinder valve.
- Push in the selected burner control knob and turn it anti-clockwise to the big flame.
- Press and hold the electronic ignition button. (lightning strike) You should hear a clicking sound, which indicates the electronic ignition is working.
- If the burner does not light within 5 seconds, turn the burner control knob to STOP position. Wait 5 minutes for the gas to clear, and repeat the above steps. Refer to the Troubleshooting section, if it still does not light
- When lit, turn the control knob to desired cooking temperature settings required for your food.
TURNING OFF YOUR GRIDDLE
Turn off the gas supply at the propane tank by turning the valve clockwise.
Turn all burner control knobs to the STOP position.
STORAGE AND CLEANING
Rust spots may appear on the product due to the metallic particles contained
in the stainless steel used in the manufacture of this product. We recommend
that you brush them off quickly to limit their spread. After each firing, wait
for the product to cool down completely.
Empty the grease trap and clean your appliance and utensils after each use to
avoid a highly flammable and toxic grease deposit on the cooking surfaces.
Do not use sharp objects or abrasive cleaners on the cooking surface. It is
preferable to use a heavy-duty degreaser. Do not leave standing water in the
appliance; this can lead to rust and rapid deterioration of the materials.
Protect your appliance with a cover if you leave it outside in fine weather.
Protect from rain and moisture during extended periods of non-use. Before use,
check the hose for nicks, cracks and signs of severe wear. Make sure the
expiry date has not passed. Carry out a leak test at the beginning of each
season and each time you replace the cylinder to ensure that the appliance and
its connections are working properly. NEVER USE AN OPEN FLAME TO DETECT GAS
LEAKS. DO NOT LIGHT THE APPLIANCE DURING THE TEST. Turn all appliance controls
to STOP, Connect your gas cylinder correctly, Open the gas cylinder valve. To
detect a leak, brush a solution of equal parts liquid soap and water over all
the gas connections (valves, hose, regulator and hex nut). If bubbles form
anywhere, this indicates a leak.
GAS CYLINDER
The appliance can be used with any gas cylinder of weights between 4.5KGS and
15KGS butane and 3.9KGS to 13KGS propane. The gas cylinder should not be
dropped or handled roughly! If the appliance is not in use, the cylinder must
be disconnected. Replace the protective cap on the cylinder after
disconnecting the cylinder from the appliance. Cylinders must be stored
outdoors in an upright position and out of the reach of children. The cylinder
must never be stored where temperatures can reach over 50°C. The height of the
gas cylinder is below the 80cm, and the width is within 35cm
CLEANING
Performing a “heat cleaning” (by heating the griddle) after each use (for
about 15 minutes) will remove some of the food residue.
OUTSIDE SURFACE
Use mild detergent or baking soda and hot water solution. Non-abrasive
scouring powder can be used on stubborn stains, then rinse with water. Clean
thoroughly with strong hot soapy water solution. Rinse with water and allow to
completely dry. NEVER USE OVEN CLEANER
COOKING PLATE
Remove residues with a brush, scraper and/or sponge, then wash with a soapy
water solution. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry completely.
Clean with a soft cloth and soapy water. Rinse with clean water. Do not use
abrasive cleaners, paint strippers or grill cleaner on the plastic parts.
CLEANING THE BURNER ASSEMBLY
- Ensure the gas is turned off at the propane tank.
- Remove the cooking griddle.
- Lift each burner up and out.
- Clean the inside of the burner by using a stiff wire. An alternative is to use compressed air. Always wear protective gear for your eyes when using this method. Never enlarge the burner ports during cleaning.
- Brush the outer surface of the burner.
- Ensure all ports (holes) are free of debris.
- Inspect the burners. Replace damaged parts that have cracks or enlarged ports.
- Reinstall the burners making sure the burners seat over the valves. Perform the Leak Test described as above
