Stiroplus SP-2010 Pressure Ironing System User Manual

Read this manual thoroughly before using and save it for future reference

CONTROL PANEL

Power switch

Plug in the appliance and press down the Power switch, the power indicator will illuminate, the ECO steam rate is regarded as defaulted one and its indicator will flash. Hold and press the Power switch for about 2 seconds, and the appliance will be disconnected from the power supply.

Steam rate control button

Press the Steam rate control button to make switch between the High and ECO steam rates, and one beep can be heard when making switch. And the corresponding indicator of selected steam rate will light solidly.

Temperature dial

Turn the dial to set ironing temperature based on the garment needs to be ironed.

Temperature indicator

When the iron is heating up, the temperature indicator will illuminate. Once the iron has reached the selected temperature, it will extinguish. The temperature indicator will be cycled on and off as the iron maintains the selected temperature during ironing.

Iron lock and Iron lock release button

When the iron is locked on the thermal insulation stand, press the Iron lock release button “” to unlock the iron lock “  ”, then the iron can be removed from the thermal insulation stand for ironing. When the iron is placed on the thermal insulation stand, press down the iron lock “  ” and then the iron is locked on the thermal insulation stand, at that time, the whole appliance can be lifted up for carrying conveniently.

Steam trigger

When the steam is ready for being used, press the steam trigger with a little force, the steam will be sprayed from the soleplate continuously. When loosen the steam trigger, the appliance can only be used for dry ironing without steam.

Water tank release button

Press the Water tank release button and grasp the water tank handle to remove the water tank from the unit base.

Filling aperture

Fill the water tank with water through the filling aperture. Make sure that the water shall not exceed the MAX mark of water tank

Clean indicator

When the appliance needs to be descaled, the clean indicator lights solidly. Please refer the instructions of paragraph “CLEANING & MAINTANANCE” to remove all calc residues and prolong the lifetime of the appliance.

Shot of steam

Shot of steam can be activated after pressing the steam trigger twice continuously. An interval of at least 15 seconds must be maintained between two continuous cycles. The “Shot of steam” function can be only activated under ECO and Ηigh steam rate.

Cord winding groove

When not in use, the steam supply hose can be wound along the cord winding groove for storage and the power cord can be tied well with a cable tie. Follow the operation in the section of “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE”.

Automatic power off

If there is no steam sprayed out of the soleplate, the appliance will turn off automatically if no operation within 10 minutes. To restart the appliance, just need to press the power button again.

Correct placement of iron on the thermal insulation stand

When the iron is put on the thermal insulation stand, it must be placed on it correctly.

USING YOUR STEAM STATION IRON

The appliance has two ironing ways. You can use dry ironing or steam ironing, the details refer to the following:

Dry ironing

Steam ironing

The machine works with normal tap water. In case of very hard water (hardness above 27ºF) we suggest using 50% distilled water diluted with tap water. Alternatively, we suggest using normal bottled drinking water. The use of de-ionized water is not recommended.

  1. Press the “Water tank release button” and grasp the water tank’s handle to remove the water tank, then fill it with water through the filling aperture. After it, replace the water tank properly. The maximum capacity of water tank is 8L, the water level shall not be exceeded the MAX mark.

NOTE: There may be dripping water during spraying steam when the temperature is at and lower than the second setting. This is normal.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning, firstly disconnect the power outlet and let the appliance cool down.
Wipe flakes and any other deposits on the soleplate with a damp cloth or a non-abrasive (liquid) cleaner.
NOTE: Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to scrape the soleplate.
Clean the upper part of iron with a soft damp cloth. Wipe the water drop on the unit base and the thermal insulation stand with a dry cloth.
When do not use the appliance for a long time, empty the water in the tank, and put the iron on the thermal insulation stand and then press the iron lock “                                                                     ” to lock the iron well.

properly locked on the thermal insulation stand.
The appliance needs to be cleaned when the “Clean indicator” lights solidly. Before cleaning, a container which can hold at least 300ml of wastewater shall be prepared. The iron should be placed on the container steadily. Turn the temperature dial to the “MAX” setting.
1.Hold and press “Clean button” on the control panel for 2 seconds. When the buzzer sounds, the user should keep away from the appliance to prevent from being burnt by hot steam. After the appliance enters into the cleaning condition, the “Clean indicator” flashes. After about 3 minutes, the cleaning is completed and the appliance will return to the working condition.

NOTE:

For better cleaning, please ensure that the temperature dial be turned to “MAX” setting before activate the “Clean” function. The cleaning effect may be not so good if the temperature dial is turned to
other temperature settings except “MAX” setting.
Follow the operation as below to store the steam supply hose and power cord: firstly, fold the steam supply hose in two and wind it along the cord winding groove, then fix it at the cord winding groove; secondly, tie the power cord with a cable tie.

IRONING TIPS

-Always check first whether a label with ironing instructions is attached to the article. Follow these ironing instructions in any case.
-The iron heats up quicker than cooling it down, therefore, you should start ironing the articles requiring the lowest temperature such as those made of synthetic fiber.
-If the fabric consists of various kinds of fibers, you must always select the lowest ironing temperature to iron the composition of those fibers.
-Silk and other fabrics that are likely to become shiny should be ironed on their inner side.
-Velvet and other textures that rapidly become shiny should be ironed in one direction with light pressure applied. Always keeps the iron moving at any moment.
-Pure wool fabrics (100% wool) may be ironed with the steam iron. Preferably set temperature dial to the third position and use a dry cloth as a mat.
– Never iron over zip, rivet in the cloth. This will damage the soleplate. Iron around any such object.
NOTE: When ironing woolen fabrics, shining of the fabric may occur. So it is suggested that you should turn the article inside out and iron the reverse side.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The appliance produces a pumping sound| Τhe sound tells you that water is pumped

into the boiler.

| If the pumping sound does not stop, switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the wall socket. Contact the authorized service center.
Water drops come out of the soleplate| There may be dripping water during spraying steam when the temperature is set at the second setting (●●) or lower than the second setting (●●) .| For steam ironing, turn temperature dial within the steam section, as shown in the TEMPERATURE DIAL paragraph.
