MAXI-COSI Coral 360 Modular Baby Car Seat
Product Information
The Coral 360 is a child restraint system that is i-Sizecompliant and suitable for children weighing up to 12 kg and measuring between 40 cm to 75 cm. The product is manufactured by Maxi-Cosi and comes with a FamilyFix 360 base that is also i-Size compliant. The child restraint can be fixed into the seat position of most cars using the ISOFIX system.
Product Usage Instructions
- Refer to the car fitting list on www.maxi-cosi.com to ensure that the Coral 360 is compatible with your car.
- Install the FamilyFix 360 base in your car using the ISOFIXsystem according to the instructions provided in the user manual.
- Place the Coral 360 child restraint onto the FamilyFix 360 base and click it into place.
- To adjust the height of the Coral 360, press the button located at the back of the seat and pull or push the headrest to the desired position.
- Place your child into the Coral 360 and fasten the harness by clicking it into the buckle until you hear a click sound.
- To adjust the tightness of the harness, pull on the straps until they are snug against your child’s body.
- Adjust the recline angle of the Coral 360 by pressing the button located at the front of the seat and pulling or pushing the seat to the desired position.
- Once your child is securely fastened into the Coral 360, push or pull on the seat to ensure that it is properly installed and does not move more than one inch in any direction.
The quick start guide is intended to provide only an overview. For the maximum protection and comfort of your child, it is essential that you read through the entire manual carefully and follow all instructions.
Quick start guide
The Coral 360 is a Universal Belted Enhanced Child Restraint System. It is
approved according to UN Regulation
No. 129, for use primarily in “Universal seating positions” as indicated by
vehicle manufacturers in the vehicle user’s manual. If in doubt, consult
either the Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or the retailer.
Category of your car seat: i-Size infant carrier module (40-75 cm – up to
approx. 12 months)
Position of your car seat: rearward facing
The Coral 360 can be installed on a Maxi-Cosi ISOFIX base. Please make sure
you read the user manual of this base carefully.
Alternatively, the Coral 360 can be installed by using the 3-point safety belt
of your car.
This child restraint is classified for “Universal” use and is suitable for
fixing

SAFETY
The car seat is developed for an intensive use of approximately 6 years.
Coral 360 car use
- The car seat can be rotated by installing it on the Maxi-Cosi FamilyFix 360 rotative base. It helps you to get your child in and out of the vehicle easily.
- When the car safety belt is used, make sure the car safety belt buckle runs in a straight line and stays below the belt hook of the car seat.
- The car safety belt must be threaded tight along all green markings. For a proper installation, check the instruction in this manual and the sticker on the side of the car seat.
- Only use a forward-facing seat that is fitted with a 3-point safety belt that complies with the ECE R16 standard.
WARNING:
- Install the car seat only rearward facing in the car on a forward facing vehicle seat.
- The car seat must always be locked in the rearward facing position when travelling. Do NOT travel when the car seat is rotated to a lateral (loading) position or to any other unlocked intermediate position.
Coral 360 and your baby
- Make sure you can fit no more than one finger between the harness and your baby (1cm). If there is more space than 1 cm, tighten the harness belt further.
- Only use the baby-hugg inlay of the Coral 360 until your baby exceeds the 60 cm length limit. Afterwards remove the baby-hugg inlay from the Coral 360.
WARNING:
- Never place the car seat and/or the soft carrier on an elevated surface (such as a table or chair).
- In order to prevent the car seat from tipping over during carrying, check if the carrying handle is locked in place in carrying position (A1).
- When Coral 360 is installed on a stroller, always make sure to use approved car seat adapters and to secure Coral 360 correctly.
Using the soft carrier

Fold the carrying handle down and take both soft carrier handles from the sides and hold them together in one hand.

Press the soft carrier release button on the side of the safety shell in order to unlock the soft carrier.

Lift up the soft carrier from the safety shell.
When placing the soft carrier back in the safety shell, make sure it locks by means of an audible ‘Click’. -
The soft carrier handles will automatically retract when released.

Put the carrying handle in the most forward position towards the baby’s legs until it locks (position A1).
WARNING:
- Always check if the indicator on the carrier release buttons have turned green. If not, push the soft carrier further into the safety shell until it locks by means of an audible ‘Click’ and the indicators on the side turn green.
- Before using the soft carrier to carry your baby, always make sure that your baby is strapped correctly with the integrated harness system. Never carry your baby unstrapped in the soft carrier.
- Make sure the carrying handle is in position A1.
- The soft carrier cannot and may never be installed as stand-alone in a car. It must always be locked in the safety shell.
Coral 360 in airplanes

Installation of the Coral 360 on an aircraft seat differs from the installation on a car seat.

Installing the Coral 360 with a 2-point safety belt is only allowed when used in an aircraft.

In an aircraft, the Coral 360 may only be used on forward-facing passenger seats.

The soft carrier cannot and may never be installed stand-alone in an airplane without being locked into the safety shell.

To install Coral 360, place the infant carrier rearward facing on the passenger seat. Route the webbing of the-2point safety belt through the belt guides.
(1,2) Lock the buckle of the 2-point safety belt. (3) And tighten the 2-point safety belt by pulling on the tightening strap. (4) -
The handle of the Coral 360 must be in uprightposition.

The belt buckle must not be positioned between the belt hooks of this car seat. Otherwise a safe attachment does not exist.

To uninstall Coral 360, open the buckle of the 2-point safety belt by lifting the lever of the buckle. (5) And remove the webbing of the 2-point safety belt from the guides. Make sure the Coral 360 does not fall from passenger seat when opening the buckle.

The Coral 360 must remain belted on the aircraft seat, even when unoccupied.

The Coral 360 is only for use on an aircraft seat authorized by the airline.

Do not install the Coral 360 in the area of airbag deployment.

Instructions of the cabin crew must be followed.
The safety of your child for not complying with the installation and instruction manual is not guaranteed.
CARE
The cover, cushions, belt pads and sun canopy of the car seat can be removed
for washing. The front baleen of the sun canopy needs to be removed before
washing. The plastic inserts of the shoulder and crotch pads do not need to be
removed before washing.
The retractable soft carrier handles and the harness webbing can be cleaned
using a wet cloth.
