Product Information

The CAR SPECIFIC SERIES GZCS SW-800A and SW-1000A are under-seat active subwoofers designed for use in cars. These subwoofers feature a powerful amplifier, high-level input with auto-on function, solid GZ-design aluminum cast housing, modest mounting height, bass boost control, adjustable low pass crossover, low current consumption, wired level remote control, and a remote control splitter for two subwoofers available separately. The GZCS SW-800A has an 8-inch subwoofer and delivers a maximum power of 120 watts, while the GZCS SW-1000A has a 10-inch subwoofer and delivers a maximum power of 150 watts. Both models have a peak power of 180 watts and 210 watts, respectively. They have a low current consumption of 15 A and 20 A, respectively. The dimensions of the GZCS SW-800A are 315 x 235 x 80 mm (12.40 x 9.25 x 3.15 inches) and it weighs 4.2 kg, while the GZCS SW-1000A has dimensions of 365 x 270 x 80 mm (13.78 x 10.63 x 3.15 inches) and it weighs 5.0 kg.

Product Usage Instructions

Before installing the GZCS SW-800A or SW-1000A, it is essential to read the general installation notes. Connect the subwoofer to the +12 V power supply and ground connection using the appropriate cables. Adjust the sensitivity control (Gain) to match the input sensitivity to the head unit. Use the bass boost control to adjust the bass level and the low pass filter control to adjust the desired low pass crossover point (50 Hz ~ 150 Hz). Use the phase switch to invert the phase of the subwoofer if needed. The GZCS SW-800A and SW-1000A subwoofers have a remote control socket to connect the wired level remote control. If two identical under seat-subwoofers should be adjusted simultaneously, use the remote control splitter (available separately) to connect them. The status display indicates the operating status of the subwoofer. The red light indicates an error or defect, while the PRT light indicates normal operation. General installation note

• Never drill a hole to the vehicle´s gas tank or brake lines, to wirings or any other important vehicle parts!
• Never pass wires over sharp edges or vehicle parts to avoid any kind of damage
• Keep the wiring away from the antenna and electronic devices contributing to radio reception
• Lay the power supply wiring always separated from the speaker wiring to avoid disturbance
• Use adequately dimensioned power and speaker wires to connect the components

Important

Note: Use either RCA line level or the high-level input. Do not connect both at simultaneously!

The audio signal input (RCA)

Left (L) and right (R) channel RCA input. To be connected to the pre- amplified output of the source unit. If there is no such output available, the high-level input can be used instead

This seat subwoofer can be used with high-level input instead of RCA input. For this, the provided harness of the high-level input terminal should be connected directly to the speaker output of the head unit Attention! Do not use the high-level input and low-level input (RCA) simultaneously

Auto turn-on switch

|

The auto-on function of the high-level input enables the amplifier to switch on without any additional remote connection. The unit will turn on, automatically.

0° or 180° switchable to align the signal phase to already existing loudspeakers

Fuse

|

In the event of an internal defect or excessive load, this fuse can protect the electronics from major damage. A defective fuse may only be replaced with a new fuse of the same type and value.

Listening to music can be emotional, impressive, relaxing or enjoyable. At that, it doesn´t really matter what kind of music is my personal favorite, whether it´s Instrumental, Jazz, Electro, Latin, Classic, Rock or any other music direction.
