There may come a time when you need to reset your TP-Link AC1750 router to its factory settings, whether it’s because of a connectivity issue, forgotten password, or other reasons. Resetting your router will erase all your customized settings and restore the default configuration, allowing you to start anew. In this post, we will guide you through the reset process step-by- step, ensuring you can quickly and easily reset your TP-Link AC1750 router.
Step 1: Locate the Reset Button
The first thing you need to do is find the reset button on your TP-Link AC1750 router. It’s typically located on the back or bottom of the device, inside a small hole. You’ll need a thin object, like a paperclip or pin, to press the button.
Step 2: Power On the Router
Make sure your router is plugged in and powered on. Check the LED lights on the front panel to confirm that it’s receiving power.
Step 3: Press and Hold the Reset Button
Insert the paperclip or pin into the hole and press the reset button gently. Hold it down for about 10 seconds until you see the LED lights on the front panel start to flash. This indicates that the reset process has begun.
Step 4: Release the Reset Button and Wait
Once the LED lights begin to flash, release the reset button and wait for the router to reboot. This process may take a few minutes, so be patient. The router’s LED lights will stabilize once the reset is complete.
Step 5: Reconnect and Configure
After the reset process is complete, you’ll need to reconnect your devices to the router’s Wi-Fi network. The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password can be found on the label at the bottom or back of the router. After connecting to the default network, open a web browser and enter the router’s IP address (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) to access the router’s web-based setup page. Log in using the default username and password (usually “admin” for both), and then customize your router settings as desired.
