Product Usage Instructions

1. Unpack the contents and check the packing list to ensure all components are included.
2. Mount the transmitter (CC8980) to the camera using the provided V-mount and connect it to the camera’s HDMI or SDI output.
3. Mount the monitor (3104) to a suitable location using the provided L-shaped bracket and hex wrench.
4. Connect the monitor to the transmitter using the provided power cable and lanyard.
5. Switch on the power supply to the transmitter and monitor.
6. Select the working channel on the transmitter using the channel switch button.
7. Select the signal input (HDMI or SDI) on the transmitter using the signal input selection button.
8. Confirm the selected function using the OK button on the transmitter.
9. Use the OLED display on the transmitter to view information about the channel, signal input, capacity, and status.
10. Use the various features on the monitor such as 3D LUT Import, Waveform, Vectorscope, Brightness Histogram, Audio Meters, Focus Assist, False Color, Zebra, Single Color, Freeze, Zoom, Anamorphic, etc. to enhance your production.
11. The Movcam follow focus system can be paired with the monitor to display critical follow focus information as overlays directly on the monitor.

• As connecting any equipment (such as any player or TV, etc.), please turn off the power to the product before any operation is undertaken.
• Power outlet: To prevent electric shock or fire, short circuit, please make sure the type of electrical plug used on the receiver’s and transmitter’s power cord are compliant with the rated voltage range in the attached label of the power adapter in package.
• Power cord: Do not place any heavy articles above on the power cord. To avoid being stepped on or pinched by heavy items, the power cord should not be located on the place where people pass by frequently.
• Power overloading: Avoid overloading wall’s electrical outlets and extension cord or other multi-socket; otherwise could result in electric shock or fire.
• Lightning: For protection from lightning or when the product is left unattended for a long period, please disconnect it from the power source.
• Please disconnect the power cord from the power outlet when you are not using the receiver and transmitter, this will reduce the risk of electric shock or fire.

Warning

• This product should not be exposed to dripping or splashing. Do not place any object filled with liquid on the product(eg. vases).
• To avoid electric shock, please do not block or stick anything on the air vent of product; do not remove the cover or put the object just like pins, steel wire into the gap of the air vent.
• Please place the receiver/transmitter on a flat with hard and stable surface.
• Ventilation: please do not block the air vents on the receiver/transmitter or place any heavy object on top of them . Blocking the air flow can damage the product itself. Please make sure that there is adequate ventilation distance between the receiver and TV, and also put the product away from direct sunlight or any source of heat.
• Water Exposure: To reduce the risk of electric shock or fire, please do not expose thereceiver/transmitter to rain or moisture.

Special Notice

• Although the product has provided the function of data encryption when transmitting, you still need to pay attention to deliberate signal interception. There will be the Possibility of a third party intentionally intercept the transmission signal since the product adopt wireless communication. Please do not use the product on confidential and important communications, or life-related communications The main concern is that the content of wireless communication might be received by the third party’s wireless devices deliberately or accidentally.
• The impact of radio waves (such as the following environment may cause the abnormal audio and video(blocked image, noise … etc.).
  • Transmit near the wall which is hard for the radio waves to get through.
  • Quite close to the refrigerator, metal fitment and appliances, or next to the crowded situation.
• This product has been tested and manufactured to comply with national electrical safety rules, however, there will be noise caused by the interference with other machines in rare cases. If the interference is happened, please keep a certain distance away from other machines.
• The product is susceptible to interference from 5GHz wireless local area network or other wireless devices.
• Optimal range between transmitter and receiver is between 1 meter and 50 meters within line of sight indoor.
• Please do not set up the transmitter and receiver in metal shelf, or it will hinder the wireless communications.
• 1080P /60 Hz Wireless transmitting.
• It will take 15-20 seconds to boot the system before wireless communication start, the media receiver can not be operated during this time.

PRO VUE is composed of a wireless transmitter and a daylight viewable 5.5” monitor with a built-in wireless receiver. The highest supported resolution is 1080P/60Hz, with zero latency and no compression. The transmission distance can be up to 200 meters. Transmitter supports HDMI/SDI input and SDI Loop output.A wide variety of advanced features is included, such as 3D Lut Import, Waveform, Vectorscope, Brightness Histogram, Audio Meters, Focus Assist, False Color, Zebra, Single Color, Freeze, Zoom, Anamorphic, etc. PRO VUE is a more reliable, professional and portable wireless monitor kit. Monitor Interface Description

Mounting

For Transmitter

1. Install the antennas, then orient the transmitter antennas to 90°.
2. Connect the video source to SDI or HDMI input on the transmitter. The transmitter can be powered by the DC adaptor or NPF battery. V-mount battery is also possible by attaching the battery plate(optional).
3. Turn on the power switch to start up the transmitter.
4. Short press CH button to select a channel, and short press again to confirm. When the transmitter is connected successfully to the monitor, the word VIDEO will be displayed on the OLED screen.
5. Long press the HDMI/SDI button to switch to SDI audio mode. When there is no sound from SDI input, please long press the button to enable.
   Note: The button is designed to solve compatible problem when the SDI input connect to filming devices. The audio transmission does not affect by the HDMI input.

SDI Audio mode is set to 0 by default

For Monitor

1. Install the NP-F battery
2. Connect to the V-mount battery with power cable
3. Long press the power button to start up the monitor.
4. The monitor can be paired with the 3-axis MOVCAM MCS-2 follow focus system through an MBUS port. When the follow focus system is started up, the critical lens data(focus, iris, and zoom) will be displayed as overlays directly on the monitor.

OLED Display Description

CC8980 OLED Screen

• Signal Source Input: Auto/HDMI/SDI.
• Power Info: Display the current power sypply status.
• Channel NO.: Display the current Channel NO.
• Wireless Signal: Display the networking signal status.
• SDI Audio Mode: mode 0, display nothing, mode 1 displays clef symbol.
• Video Connect: Video means the video signal is OK.
• Without further operation, the display will dim automatically after 3 minutes.

Monitor Menu Operation

Channel: Just tap on the screen to access the channel menu, then choose the relevant channel to connect the transmitter.

1. Manual Mode: Choose channel A to connect the CVW transmitter, which has 1 to 11 channel for selection. Choose channel B,C,D, can connect the transmitter of other brands.
2. Auto Mode: The monitor will scan the signal, then pair automatically with the transmitter.

Note: The receiver is compatible with all CVW PRO Seires transmitters. When the receiver can’t pair with the relevant transmitter, please choose the Auto Mode to scan for and pair.

False Color: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select False Color to do the relevant settings.

Zebra: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Zebra to do the relevant settings.

Brightness Histogram: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Brightness Histogram to do the relevant settings.

RGB Histogram: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select RGB Histogram to do the relevant settings.

Luminance Waveform: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Luminance Waveform to do the relevant settings.

RGB Waveform: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select RGB Waveform to do the relevant settings.

Vectorscope: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Vectorscope to do the relevant settings.

All Wave: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select All Wave to do the relevant settings.

HDR: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select HDR to do the relevant settings.

Single Color: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Single Color to do the relevant settings.

Peaking: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Peaking to do the relevant settings.

Center Mark: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Center Mark to do the relevant settings.

Safe Area: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Safe Area to do the relevant settings.

Mark Ratio: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Mark Ratio to do the relevant settings.

Grid Lines: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Grid Lines to do the relevant settings.

Audio Meters: T ap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Audio Meters to do the relevant settings.

LUT: T ap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select LUT to do the relevant settings.

Anamorphic: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Anamorphic to do the relevant settings.

Display Flip: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Display Flip to do the relevant settings.

Backlight: Tap on the screen to access the setting menu, then select Backlight to do the relevant settings.

Precautions

To achieve best performance, the following mounting requirements should be met:

• The transmitter should be mounted 1.5 m above the ground.
• There is clear line-of-sight propagation between the monitor and transmitter.
• To achieve best performance, it’s recommended to orient the transmitter antennas to 90°.
• When using a single product kit, the channels need to be set between CH 5 and CH 9. When using multiple PRO VUE kits channels must be set different. For instance, if the channel of the first kit is set to CH5, the second kit needs to be set to CH7, the third kit to CH9, and so on. If multiple Wi-Fi devices are used channels must be set different, the signal will be concentrated in the low and high frequency bands. When using medium frequency band at this time, it can effectively avoid the interference of the same frequency band.
• PRO VUE operates within the 5GHz frequency band. Other 5GHz wireless equipment may interfere with PRO VUE. Please make sure that they are not too much adjacent to each other.
