Creative-Tonies Short and Sweet Music Box

Product Information: Creative-Tonie

Creative-Tonie is a wireless audio toy that can be customized with your own audio content. It requires a Toniebox with a wireless internet connection and a Toniecloud account to function. The toy comes with a square base and a character figurine on top, which can be removed to upload or change audio content. The product is easy to set up and use, and it requires internet access to work.

Setting up the Creative-Tonie

1. Make sure you have the following items: Creative-Tonie, Toniebox with a wireless internet connection, internet access, and a Toniecloud account.
2. If you don’t have a Toniecloud account, sign up for one at my.tonies.com. Note that this is essential to use your Creative-Tonie.
3. Place the Toniebox within close range of your WLAN signal.
4. Switch on the Toniebox by pressing one of the ears. When the square lights up solid green, stand your new Creative-Tonie on top of the Toniebox and wait until you hear a voice message. That means you’re connected to the Toniecloud and ready to go!

Uploading Audio Content

There are two ways to upload audio content to your Creative-Tonie:

1. Log in to your Toniecloud account at my.tonies.com and find your new Creative-Tonie in ‘Creative-Tonies’. Choose content like MP3 files and your own recordings to send to your character.
2. Download the free Tonie-App, which acts like a voice recorder so you can narrate your own adventures, tell your favorite stories, or send messages. The app uploads audio automatically to your Creative-Tonie.

Using the Creative-Tonie

1. Squeeze one of the Toniebox ears for three seconds to sync the new content. Let go when you hear a sound.
2. Put the Creative-Tonie back on top of the Toniebox as soon as the light turns solid green again. The new content will be played and downloaded simultaneously.

Troubleshooting

If an error occurs, the Toniebox will let you know with a voice message and a flashing red LED light. For example:

• If the internet connection is interrupted, lift the Creative-Tonie off the box and place it back on.
• If the Creative-Tonie has been restricted to playing content only on a specific Toniebox.
• If the Toniebox can’t connect with a new Creative-Tonie, link it to a customer account in the Toniecloud. This is also necessary to upload content onto the Creative-Tonie.

Just three steps …
and your own audio adventure begins!

1. Put your Creative Tonie on top
   Switch on the Toniebox by pressing an ear. When the square lights up solid green, stand your new Creative-Tonie on the Toniebox and wait until you hear a voice message. That means you’re connected to the Toniecloud and ready to go!
   Important: You need to keep the Toniebox within close range of your WLAN signal while the LED is flashing blue.

2. Take the Creative-Tonie off and upload audio
   There are two options. You can upload audio via your Toniecloud account at my.tonies.com.
   Log in and find your new Creative-Tonie in ‘Creative-Tonies’, then choose content like MP3 files and your own recordings to send to your character …
   or download the Tonie-App.
   This acts like a voice recorder so you can narrate your own adventures, tell your favourite stories or send messages. The app uploads audio automatically to your Creative-Tonie.
   Download the free Tonie-App
   Tonie-App is available for iOS from version 9 and Android from version 4.4 (KitKat).

3. Sync and put Creative- Tonie back on top
   Squeeze one of the Toniebox ears for three seconds. Let go when you hear a sound, and then put the Creative- Tonie back on as soon as the light turns solid green again. The new content will be played and downloaded simultaneously.
   Done! When the light turns green, everything has been downloaded and you’re ready to listen!

The basics

Setting up your Creative-Tonie is really simple. All you need is:

1. Creative-Tonie
2. Internet access
3. Toniebox with a wireless internet connection
4. A toniecloud account is essential!

Please note: You need a free Toniecloud account to use your Creative- Tonie. Sign up now at my.tonies.com. It’s really easy and only takes a few minutes.

If your Toniebox is brand new and hasn‘t been connected to the internet yet, then follow these instructions first at my.tonies.com/setup

Tip: You need to keep the Toniebox within close range of your WLAN signal during setup. The better the connection, the quicker you can get going!

Troubleshooting

When an error occurs, the Toniebox will let you know with a voice message and a flashing red LED light, for example:

1. if the internet connection is interrupted. Most of the time it helps to simply lift the Creative-Tonie off the box and place it back on.
2. if the Creative-Tonie has been restricted to playing content only on a specific Toniebox.
3. if the Toniebox can‘t connect with a new Creative-Tonie. To do this, it must be linked to a customer account in the Toniecloud. This is also necessary to upload content onto the Creative-Tonie. Create your Toniecloud account here: my.tonies.com
