Lolin Wemos D1 WIFI Development Board Installation Guide
Connection :
There are several possibilities to connect your led strips
In this tutorial we will see the most commonly used connection.
For the 4 pins strips APA102 for example we will use the 5V, the GND, the DATA
and the CLOCK
For the 3 pins strips SK6812 for example it will be the 5V, the GND and the
DATA.
Wled installation and configuration:
To install Wled, connect your esp to your computer.
We will use the online installation tool that you can find at this address:
By clicking on the link above you will be taken to the Wled installer
homepage.
Use the latest version (present in the choice window) and click on ‘
Install ‘.
A window will open asking you to choose the port on which you have connected your esp.
If your esp is not recognized, return to the main page and download the drivers proposed on the link ‘No device found ?’
If everything has gone well so far, the installation begins.
At the end of the installation, a popup warns you of the success of the operation, click on ‘ NEXT ‘
You will then be asked to enter your Wifi credentials
Once connected, another popup offers you to configure Wled.
Click on ‘ Visit Device ‘ to access the settings.
In the tab bar choose ‘ Config ‘
Puis, Leds préférences ,
To start, uncheck the ‘ Enable automatic brightness limiter ‘ box
Then, select your leds type. In our example we used APA102.
In the Length section enter the number of leds you are using.
We must indicate to wled the Gpio on which we have connected the data and
clock cables.
These gpio will be 13 for DATA and 14 for CLOCK
Change Default brightness from 128 to 255 to increase the brightness to the maximum.
You just have to go down to the bottom of the page and click on the ‘ Save ‘ button to save your settings.
Unplug your esp from the computer and connect it to your leds
