Operation Guidance
-
Unfold the solar panel. Spread and stabilize it under direct sunlight and ensure it is facing towards the sun. When the solar panel senses sunlight, the red LED indicator on the junction box will light up.
-
Elevate the solar panel above the ground by using the kickstands. This will help to adjust to the optimal angle facing towards the sun and prevent from overheating by increasing airflow.
-
Connect your electronic device to the Solar Panel with a cable with right connector.
*Please Note:
It is recommended to place the charging unit on the back of the solar panel or
in a cool place to avoid overheating.

Connecting the Solar Panels in Parallel or in Series Wire Solar Panels in
Parallel
-
Paralleling directly using our DC5521 solar parallel connection cables (sold separately);
-
If using MC4 cables for parallel connection:
-
First, connect the DC5521 cable on the solar panel with the DC5521 to MC4 cable (included in the package), and do the same steps for the other solar panel.
-
Then, find the 4 poles (2 positive poles and 2 negative poles), connect them with the MC4 Solar Connectors Y Branch Parallel Cable (sold separately);
-
Finally, connect the Solar MC4 parallel connection cable to MC4 input cable that can charge your unit to charge your unit.
Wire Solar Panels in Series
Using MC4 cables for series connection
- First, connect the DC5521 cable on the solar panel with the DC5521 to MC4 cable (included in the package).
- Then, connect the male connector of the MC4 cable to the female connector of the other MC4 cable;
- Finally, connect the MC4 input cable that can charge your unit to charge your unit.
Precautions for Use
- When charging with solar panels, the strong sun may cause the solar panels to heat up, so please be careful, otherwise you may get burned when you touch it.
- This solar panel works best when it is sunny. In cloudy or shaded areas, the operating efficiency may be reduced.
- Do not expose the smartphone or mobile battery to direct sunlight.
- Excessive heat may damage the equipment and cause it to burn or deform.
- The solar panel itself has NO power storage function and can NOT be used as a battery.
- Always treat the monocrystalline solar panel with care. Do NOT drop or scratch the panel and keep it away from sharp objects.
- To prolong its service life, try to clean the solar panel with dry towel or cloth after every use.
- When using it outdoors, be careful to avoid dust and water entering the charging port.
The following scenarios are not recommended.
-
In the evening
-
Fold the solar panel
-
Under the shadow
-
Through the glass window
Please Do Not Do the Behavior Below
The below behavior of damaging the solar panel will cause the solar panel to
crack, reduce its efficiency, or even become unusable. The free warranty
period does not cover damage caused by improper use of the product.
FAQ
Why doesn’t my solar panel reach its rated 120W?
When a solar panel is actually being used, it is normal that the actual power does not reach the rated power. Below are main factors that will cause the power to fall below the rated power.
Sunlight Intensity
The strength of the sun’s rays will cause the output power to fluctuate. While it may be relatively close to the tested conditions at noon on a clear day, it may be less in the morning or afternoon. Weather conditions will affect the light conditions, and hazy, cloudy, or rainy weather will cause the actual power to be much less than the rated power.
Surface Temperature
The surface temperature of the solar panel will affect the power performance of the solar panel.
The Angle of the sun’s rays
In good lighting angle, the solar panel can be perpendicular to the sunlight for better performance.
Interferences
When the solar panel is in use, try NOT to have anything covering the surface, including shadows, foreign objects, glass windows, and even dust. If the above conditions are met, no power or the power much less than the rated power, the product may be faulty. Please feel free to contact ELECAENTA and our global customer service team will do their best to make you completely satisfied.
Can I use ELECAENTA 120W solar panel to charge my power stations?
Yes, but please confirm the input port of your power station.
The DC output size of ELECAENTA 120W solar panel is 5.5*2.1mm, and there is a
DC5521 to MC4 cable, a 3-in-1 DC5521 to Anderson/XT60/DC8020 cable, it can
compatible with most solar generators on the market.
Can I connect ELECAENTA 120W solar panels in series?
Yes, you can. When the panels are connected in series, the output voltage is
18V + 18V = 36V, the output current is 6.66A.
a. Please make sure your series cable can support 36V, 6.66A.
b. Please purchase solar panels of the same technical size if you intend
to connect multiple panels in series.
Can I connect ELECAENTA 120W solar panels in parallel?
Yes, you can. When the panels are connected in parallel, the output voltage is
18V, the output current is 6.66A + 6.66A = 13.32A.
a. Please make sure your parallel cable can support 18V, 13.32A.
b. Please purchase panels of the same technical size if you intend to
connect multiple panels in parallel.
Can I connect ELECAENTA 120W solar panel and other brand solar panels together in parallel or in series ?
No, you can’t do that. Different solar panels have different output voltages
and currents, so when the panels are connected in parallel or in series, the
solar panels can be damaged.
If you plan to connect multiple panels in parallel or in series, buy the exact
same solar panels.
