FAQs

What should I do if I can’t turn on the fan?****

Please check if there is any problem with the power supply or the remote control. If everything is in normal condition, please check if there is any obstacle between the remote control and the receiver. If everything is in normal condition, please press the reset button on the fan. If you still can’t turn on it, please contact us for help.

How do you lubricate an oscillating tower fan?****

At the top of the fan-blade column, you’ll see the fan’s bearing, which holds the fan blades to the revolving column. Spray the bearing with WD-40 or other lubricants, and slowly spin the column, so the lubricant lightly coats the bearing. You’re now ready to reattach the casing.

What is the minimum speed for a cooling tower fan?****

EVAPCO recommends a minimum fan speed of 25% for each available open cooling tower. Operating below 25% of motor speed achieves very little return in fan energy savings and capacity control. This recommendation also applies to closed-circuit coolers and evaporative condensers.

Why do oscillating fans stop working?****

A dried-out or sticky pin is one of the most common reasons for blades to stop spinning. If they spin easily and there’s no resistance, try turning your fan on and see if the pin spins. If it doesn’t, the problem isn’t the pin and there is probably a short in the motor.

What are the benefits of oscillating fans?****

Oscillating fans give you two distinct advantages: more dynamic airflow and a better ability to target airflow exactly where you need it.

Why does my tower fan make noise when oscillating?****

In many cases, the source of a loud tower fan is the bearing becoming misaligned with the blade drum’s axis of rotation. This causes vibration and scraping of the bearing bracket with the surrounding housing. A minor adjustment and application of some inexpensive rubber between the surfaces can silence the fan for good!

Is it better to have a fan oscillating?****

Oscillation moves fans from side to side, and the best oscillating fans also move up and down. The rotation helps better move air around. It’s the most inexpensive yet effective way of cooling your home.

How much electricity does an oscillating tower fan use?****

Many models for tower fans typically use between 48 to 100 watts to run, depending on their power setting.

How does an oscillating tower fan work?****

It oscillates on a fixed base over which it stands. Air gets sucked in the fan through a tiny inlet at the side of the fan casing. Air is pushed out of the fan at a 90-degree angle, which when combined with the height of the fan, contributes to a wider coverage area of air circulation.

Do oscillating fans circulate the air?****

If you don’t have air conditioning, the right fan could help circulate otherwise stagnant air in your home and keep you cool. Oscillating fans, which move side to side, up and down or both, move cold air around a room, rather than in one direction.

Can you leave oscillating fan on?****

To avoid fires started by fans, ESF states that you shouldn’t leave your fan running overnight or whilst you’re out of the house. As well as posing a potential fire risk, leaving a fan running all night could pose some health risks as well.

What is the efficiency of the cooling tower fan?****

Under these ideal conditions, total fan efficiency is typically in the 75 percent to 85 percent range. However, as most people who have experience with cooling towers know, in most full-scale fan tests, “real life” performance tends to fall in the 55 percent to 75 percent range.
