When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire,electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions before using this heater.

  2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.

  3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.

  4. Always unplug heater when not in use.

  5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
    Discard heater, or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.

  6. Do not use the heater outdoors. This product is for indoor use only.

  7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.

  8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.

  9. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.

  10. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.

  11. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.

  12. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip). Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may overheat and cause a risk of fire.

  13. If there is a loose fit between the plug and the socket or the plug becomes very hot, the socket may need to be replaced. Check with a qualified electrician to replace the socket.

  14. It is normal for the plug and cord to feel warm to the touch. A plug or cord which becomes hot to the touch or becomes distorted in shape may be a result of a worn electrical outlet. Worn outlets or receptacles should be replaced prior to further use of the heater. Plugging the heater into a worn outlet / receptacle may result in overheating of the power cord or fire.

  15. The output of this heater may vary and its temperature may become hot enough to burn exposed skin. Use of this heater is not recommended for persons with a high sensitivity to heat or an inability to react to avoid burns.

  16. Do not warm pets, or person with reduced sensitivity to heat or an inability to react to avoid burn.

  17. Ensure the heater is on a stable, secure surface to eliminate the potential of tipping it over.

  18. Do not attempt to modify or repair the product by yourself. Doing so could void the warranty and cause damage or personal injury. Only a repair technician may disassemble or repair this product.

  19. If the machine is not working as it should, has received a sharp blow, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, do not use and contact Customer Support: [email protected]

  20. Do not pull or insert the power plug with wet hands. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock, short circuit and fire.

  21. Do not use in enclosed areas,such as under a table or near other heat sources. Otherwise,it may cause a fire or malfunction.

  22. Hold the handle firmly when moving or carrying the machine. Other-wise there is a risk of accident or injury.

  23. Do not splash water or place heavy objects on the machine. Otherwise, electric shock or malfunction may occur.

  24. This heater draws 12.5 amps during working. To prevent over loading a circuit, don’t plug the heater into a circuit that already has other appliances working.

  25. Do not place in direct sunlight or on or near heating equipment. The plastic part may be deformed or deteriorated.

  26. Do not use thinner,benzine,polishing powder,or chemical cloth for cleaning. Otherwise it may cause electric shock, short circuit or fire.

DANGER – High temperatures may be generated under certain abnormal conditions. Do not partially or fully cover or obstruct the front of this heater.

How to install?

Installation standards according to the Fire Protection Law
Above: 1.8 inch or more
(there will be no place to fall from high altitude)

How to operate?

  1. Place on a flat and stable place Do not use in unstable places or on long-haired carpets, The tip-over Protection Switch will shut off and the power may not be turned on,or the main unit may fall and cause injury or fire.

  2. Insert the power plug into the socket.Burlan S760 PTC Space Heater - Power plug

  3. Press the “ ” button once
    The power is turned on with an electronic sound of”beep’be sounded.

  4. Press the “ ” and “ + ” button to adjust the temperature Adjustable temperature range: 59°F ~95°F (15°C~35°C).

  5. Turn off the power after using unplug the power plug from the outlet.

Control Panel

  1. Power On/Off
    Short press “ ” to Turn On & Off.
    Long press “ ” to enter screen protection.

  2. Heat Settings
    Short Press to change heat level.
    : Power Gear – Upward Button, Switching from 1 to 3.
    : Power Gear – Downward Button: Switching from 3 to 1.
    1: Fan Only for summer
    2: Low Level
    3: High Level

  3. Function keys
    Press “ ” to select the “ECO Mode’ or “Timing’,
    1: Short Press: set a timer1-12 hours, Long press: cancel the timer.
    2: Short Press: ECO Mode setting(Thermostat Range: 59-95°F), Eco mode will automatically turn on when the temperature is higher than 95°F.
    3: Press “ ” for upward selection
    4: Press “ ” for downward selection.
    5: If there is no operation within 5s, press “” or” ” to exit thermostat function.

  4. 70° Oscillation
    Short Press to oscillate, Long Press to switch °F to °C.

LED Screen Display

Show the current room temperature. °C: Displays in Centigrade degree.
°F: Displays in Fahrenheit temperature.

Timer Indicator:
When the  is light on, it means the timer has been set (default timer: 6h).
When “ ” is light on, it means the ECO thermostatic mode has been set successfully.

Remote Control Instructions

Power On/Off: Short Press to turn on /off
Oscillation: Short Press to turn on /off 70° Oscillation.
+ key: Upward switch, ranging from natural wind, warm wind(low power) to hot wind (high power).
key: Downward switch, and ranging from hot wind (high power), warm wind (low power) to natural wind.
Timer: Short Press to set a timer, and press +” or “—” to. select the timing time. (selection scope: 1-12 hours)
Cancel Timer: Short Press to cancel it.
ECO Mode: Short press to enter the ECO Mode. press “+ to select the temperature up, and press ‘-” key to select the temperature down. (selection scope: 59-95°F or 15-35 °C).
Screen Protection Key: Short Press to turn on /off screen protection.

Special Safety Protection

  1. Over-heating Protection: Equipped with 90° temperature switch on the internal component, the PTC will stop blowing hot wind, and it will automatically change to natural wind when the temperature exceeds 90°.
  2. Tip-over Protection: With built-in tip-over switch, the PTC will stop heating if the machine tilts by accident, and the fan will keep normal running for 30s before power off to ensure the high-temperature heat of the machine decrease to safety range.
  3. NTC Protection: Equipped with NTC detection on the internal low-temperature part of the machine, the PTC will stop heating when the temperature exceeds 55°C, but the fan still works. When the temperature is lower than 40°C, the PTC will start heating again.
  4. Fan Power-off Delay Protection: When turned off the machine, the fan delays in power-off for 30s to ensure the cooling of high-tem-perature part.
  5. Memory Function: The heater is designed with power-off memory function. It will always remember your last settings (temperature, working mode, oscillation status) once you turn it on again.

Cleaning and Maintenance

It is recommended that the heater be cleaned at least one time during the operating season and before off-season storage in order to provide the optimum level of performance.
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains by switching it off and removing the plug from the power outlet before cleaning.

  • Turn the heater “OFF”, unplug it and wait for the heater to cool down.
  • Use only a soft cloth to gently wipe the outer surfaces of the heater clean.
  • Do not use any cleaning agents or detergents.
  • Never immerse the heater in water and never allow water to drip into the motor housing. Be sure not to wet the heating element and the switches.
  • For storage, you may leave the heater covered to protect it from dust. Store it in a cool, dry location and arrange the cable away from traffic areas so that it will not be tripped over or damaged.

Caution:

  • Do not allow water to run into the interior of the heater as this could result in a fire or electric shock hazard.
  • Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
  • Except cleaning, any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
  • Carefully fold the power supply cord and tie it up with a cord, then put the heater into the packing box. Keep it in a cabinet away from any hot or wet location.

Prolem Possible Causes Solution

The power cannot be turned on,
there is no warm air| Is the power plug unplugged from the socket?| Please insert the power plug into the socket correctly.
Is the placement of the peoduct unstable?| The Tip-over Protection switch shut off. Please use it in a flat and stable place.
The power plug is hot abnormally| Is the contact part of the socket loose?| Adjust the socket.
Are you using a power strip or an extension cord?| Use the socket alone.
Heater does not start| Overheat Protection has been activated| Turn the heater OFF, unplug it and allow it to cool.
No power is passing through the unit.| Check and remove any objects on or adjacent to the heater.
Wait 5-10 minutes before plugging the unit back in.
Ensure that your circuit breaker or fuse is working properly
The set temperature is lower than the ambient temperature| Make sure the thermostat is set at a higher temperature than the ambient temperature
The heater suddenly stops during heating| The temperature exceeds the threshold of the thermal cutoff.| Turn off the unit and unplug it from the power outlet. Allow it to cool, and then plug it into the electrical outlet again.
The heater is tipped over.| Place it on a flat, level and stable surface.
Peculiar smell| There will be a little peculiar smell when you first use it.| The smell disappears with use.

The warranty will not apply in cases of:

  • Accident, misuse, or repairs performed by unauthorized personnel.
  • Any unit that has been tampered with or used for commercial purposes.
  • Normal wear and tear of wearable parts.
  • Use of force, damage caused by external influences.
  • Damage caused by non-observance of the User Guide, e.g. connection to an unsuitable mains supply or non-compliance with the instructions.
  • Partially or completely dismantled appliances.
  • Defects caused by or resulting from damages from shipping or from repairs, service, or alteration to the product or any of its parts that have been performed by a repair person not authorized by BURLAN.
  • We can only provide after-sales service for products that are sold by BURLAN or BURLAN authorized retailers and distributors. If you have purchased your unit from a different place, please contact your seller for return and warranty issues.
