How long do rope LED lights last?****
Incandescent rope light has the benefit of lower up-front costs and lasts up to 3,000 hours, which is perfect for seasonal use. For long-term and landscape lighting projects, LED rope light uses less energy.
How do outdoor rope lights work?****
Rope light is comprised of bulbs (LED or incandescent) spaced along a set of inner wires. Rope lights are divided into sections and are wired in “series- parallel”. This means that if a bulb fails, only the section it is in will go dark; the rest of the rope light will stay lit.
What voltage are LED rope lights?****
Voltage: Rope lights in the United States are generally sold in three different voltages: 12 volts, 24 volts, and 120 volts. Generally, the 12 volts and 24 volts variants are better suited for situations where a battery is used to power the lights.
How durable are rope lights?****
In fact, most LED rope lights use less than 1 watt per foot. They are also cooler to the touch, more durable, and can have a bulb life expectancy rate of over 100,000 hours.
Can you bend LED rope lights?****
LED Rope Lights: Rope lights can bend in both directions. We recommend a 2″ minimum lateral and convex bending radius. LED Neon Flex Lights: Neon lights have a minimum lateral bending radius of 2″. They are not designed to bend in a convex direction.
Is LED rope light AC or DC?****
LED strips, unfortunately, are not as simple as traditional incandescent light bulbs when it comes to installation and setup. Because they run on low-voltage DC, they require a power supply device that converts 120V/240V AC (depending on your location) into the voltage signal that LED strips can use.
Do LED rope lights use a lot of electricity?****
LED rope lights consume approximately 1 watt per foot of lighting. In contrast, an incandescent rope light uses 3 watts per foot. LED rope lights also have longer working lives, roughly four times the life span of their incandescent counterparts
Are rope lights waterproof?****

Why are my LED rope lights not working?****
Bad Pin Connection – If your incandescent or LED rope light fails to turn on at all, the first place to check should be your pin connections. A bad pin connection means A) the pin is faulty or more likely B) the pin is not inserted correctly.
How do you clean rope lights?****
Fill a bucket with water and soak the string and bulbs for a couple of minutes. This will remove much of the dust and light grime from the bulbs. For stubborn stains such as mold or oxidation, repeat using a toothbrush.
