Product Information

The door switch-sensor-set is designed to monitor the closed sauna door. The set includes a door sensor with a connection cable, a magnet, a door magnet holder for 8 and 10 mm glass, and assembly instructions. The door sensor can be mounted outside the sauna cabin near the sauna door, while the magnet is attached to the sauna door so that it is flush with the sensor. This set is compatible with various sauna control units.

Product Usage Instructions

Before installation, make sure that the power supply is disconnected to avoid any electrical hazards. The installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician or similarly qualified person. Follow the installation instructions for your specific sauna control unit and comply with the regulations applicable at the installation location.

Installation Steps

1. Mount the door sensor outside the sauna cabin near the sauna door. Observe the minimum distance of 10 cm from the door hinge.
   • For a wooden sauna cabin: use the wood screws provided.
   • For a glass surface: use the double-sided adhesive tape provided. Cut the adhesive tape into two equally sized pieces and stick them to the back of the door sensor.
2. Mount the magnet on the sauna door so that it is flush with the sensor.
   • On a wooden door: use the wood screws provided.
   • On a glass door: use the door magnet holder provided. Depending on the distance to the door sensor, either place the magnet inside the holder and fix it by bending the retaining tabs into the recesses using a screwdriver, or screw the magnet onto the outside of the door magnet holder.
3. Connect the door switch-sensor-set to your sauna control unit as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Test the door switch-sensor-set to ensure it is working properly before using the sauna.

Mounting the door sensor
Fasten the door sensor 1 outside the cabin near the sauna door: Observe the minimum distance of 10 cm from the door hinge

• For a wooden sauna cabin:
  Use the wood screws supplied (Fig. A).

• For a glass surface:
  Use the double-sided adhesive tape (Fig. B). Cut the adhesive tape provided into two equally sized pieces and stick the pieces to the back of the door sensor as shown in Fig. B.

Mounting the magnet
Fasten the magnet 3 to the sauna door so that it is flush with the sensor. Make sure the distance to the door sensor is correct to ensure that it works properly

• On a wooden door:
  Use the wood screws supplied

• For a glass door, use the door magnet holder 3. Depending on the distance to the door sensor, the following installations are possible:

  • The magnet is placed inside the holder (Fig. D). Fix the magnet by bending the retaining tabs into the recesses with a screwdriver.
  • Alternatively, screw the magnet onto the outside of the door magnet holder

Maintenance

The door switch-sensor-set requires minimal maintenance. Regularly inspect the set to ensure it is in working order. Clean the sensor and magnet with a soft cloth when necessary. The device is maintenance-free.

Disposal

Dispose of the door switch-sensor-set in accordance with the regulations applicable at the installation location.

• Please dispose of packaging materials in accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.
• Used units contain reusable materials as well as hazardous substances. Therefore, do not dispose of your used unit with household waste, but rather do so in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
