WARNING

  1.  Read and understand this owner’s manual and safety warnings before using this product. Failure to comply with the manufacturer’s instructions can lead to serious injury or death
    of the passenger/user.

  2.  This vehicle is intended for children up to 49 lbs or 4 years – whichever comes first.

  3.  This seat unit is not suitable for children under 6 months unless used with an approved CYBEX baby accessory.

    • Children must be at least 6 months old and able to sit upright unassisted.
    • For cycling, the child must be old enough to wear a helmet and to sit upright unattended. Consult a pediatrician if the child is less than one year old.
  4.  This cycling configuration is intended to transport children in daylight hours on sidewalks, light traffic public roads, and smooth paths. Do not:

    • Use with excessive speed;
    • Transport animals together with people;
    • Use on rough off-road terrain;
    • Exceed maximum weight limits;
    • Store anything outside of the dedicated areas.
  5.  Never leave the child unattended.

  6.  Avoid serious injury from a child falling or sliding out. Always use seat belt.

  7.  Always use the restraint system.

  8.  Do not let the child play with this product.

  9.  Ensure that all the locking devices are engaged before use.

  10. Care must be taken when folding and unfolding this product to prevent finger entrapment.

  11.  To avoid injury ensure that your child is kept away when unfolding and folding this product.

  12.  Check that the pram body or seat unit or car seat attachment devices are correctly engaged before use.

  13.  This product will become unstable if the manufacturer’s recommended load is exceeded. Do not use with children who exceed the weight limitations.

  14. Always make sure that the tires are sufficiently inflated. Never use this product with low tire pressure as this could result in loss of control. You can find the recommended inflation pressure embossed on each tire.

  15.  This product is not suitable for running or skating

  16.  This product is only intended for use with one child in the seat.

  17.  Always engage the park brake whenever you park this product or load and unload children.

  18.  Do not attach any load to the handlebar or any other part of the product, except accessories recommended by CYBEX, as this will affect the stability of the product.

  19.  Do not use this product on stairs or escalators.

  20.  Using the product in unfavorable weather conditions can result in unsafe situations. Always use good judgment when deciding if conditions are safe to use the product.

  21.  This product may become unstable if a parcel bag or parcel rack, other than one recommended by the manufacturer, is used.

  22.  Do not install a car seat or any other seating device not approved by CYBEX for this particular product.

  23.  Do not use accessories or replacement parts other than those approved by CYBEX for this particular product. This would be unsafe and could cause unstable hazardous conditions.

  24.  The durability and safety of this product can be maintained through a proper service and care regimen. Always comply with the prescribed maintenance and cleaning requirements.

  25.  Do not use if any part of the product is broken, torn or missing.

  26.  Do not allow any of the child’s body, clothing, shoelaces, or toys to come into contact with moving parts.

  27.  A red reflector that complies with local regulations must be visible on the rear of this product when it is used for cycling.

  28.  Before each ride, ensure the attached trailer does not interfere with the braking, pedaling, or steering of the bicycle.

  29.  When using this product as a bicycle trailer, please also follow the owner’s manual of the bicycle used for towing and follow their specifications regarding the maximum allowed full load for the bicycle.

  30.  Before using the product, check local regulations about where and how to use the product.

  31.  The pulling bicycle must be suitable for a bicycle trailer. It is recommended that the bicycle undergoes a safety check by a qualified bicycle mechanic before attaching it to the bicycle trailer.

  32.  Never ride a bicycle at night without adequate lighting. Obey all local legal requirements for lighting.

  33.  Bicycle trailers pulled by an EPAC/pedelec can be restricted by law. Obey all local legal requirements.

  34.  Occupant(s) must always wear a helmet that complies with local regulations.

  35.  Use extreme caution while using the product as a bicycle trailer: never exceed 25 kmph / 15 mph, and slow down to less than 10 kmph / 6 mph around corners, on rough roads and downhill.

  36.  Be aware of the negative influence of the trailer on the braking distance, stability and riding characteristics of the cycle when the trailer is attached.

  37.  When this product is used as a trailer, the mesh cover should be closed to prevent debris from entering.

  38.  The drawbar load shall be no less than 0.1 kg/0.22 lb and no greater than 8 kg/17.6 lb. Check this by measuring the weight at the tip of the drawbar with the loaded product attached to it.

  39.  The user of this product must be aware of exposure hazards such as wind chill and heat exhaustion, either by less active children in prolonged exposure in colder temperatures, or by extended periods in warmer temperatures without adequate ventilation or hydration.

  40.  Always use the safety flag when cycling.

  41.  When turning right, the angle between the towing bicycle and this product must not exceed 45°. When turning left, the angle must not exceed 90°.

  42.  The nut on the rear axle of the bicycle must engage the threads for at least five full turns in order to ensure adequate clamping force for holding the rear wheel securely. Failure to tighten the axle nut adequately may result in accidentally loosening the rear wheel of the bicycle. If it is not possible to tighten the axle nut five full turns, consult a professional bicycle mechanic for the appropriate parts and assistance.

  43.  When attaching the trailer hitch, always attach the back-up safety strap to the bicycle. Do not
    use this product if you cannot attach the back-up safety strap around your bicycle frame. Failure to install the back-up safety strap may lead to the product separating from the bicycle.

  44.  Never leave out the washer when fixing the trailer hitch to the bicycle as the trailer may separate from the bicycle.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

The user is responsible for the regular maintenance of the product.

  1.  It is particularly important to ensure that all moving parts and mechanisms are treated regularly with dry lubricant. After treatment wipe the product with a soft cloth.
  2.  Check metal components for any dents or cracks. Do not use the product if any metal components are cracked or damaged.
  3.  Examine this product regularly to see if any of the fasteners are bent, broken, missing or loose. Tighten any loose fasteners and replace any damaged or missing fasteners.
  4.  Examine the fabric regularly for tears, worn spots or any other signs of damage.
  5.  Do not use cleaning solvents. Clean only with mild soap and water.
  6.  It is important that brakes, wheels and tires are not impaired during use. Inspect and clean them regularly and repair or replace if necessary.
  7.  Should the product be exposed to salt water, please rinse the frame with clean fresh water as soon as possible afterwards.
  8.  Please always check the fabric care label before washing, do not tumble dry, do not iron or dry clean. Do not expose to direct sunlight when drying.
  9.  If the product is wet, leave it unfolded and allow all parts to dry completely to prevent mold. Never store in a damp environment.
  10.  We recommend using a rain cover in wet weather.
  11.  Do not make any modifications to the product. If you have any complaints or problems, please contact customer service.
  12.  A service should be scheduled every 24 months.
  13.  Use only original CYBEX replacement parts.

WARRANTY

The following warranty applies solely in the country where this product was initially sold by a retailer to a customer.

  1.  The warranty covers all manufacturing and material defects, existing and appearing, at the date of purchase or appearing within a term of two (2) years from the date of purchase from the retailer who initially sold the product to a consumer (manufacturer’s warranty). Please check the product with respect to completeness and manufacturing or material defects immediately at the date of purchase or immediately after receipt. Please always keep your dated proof of purchase.
  2.  In case of a defect, stop using the product immediately. To obtain the warranty, please contact customer service and have original proof of purchase (sales receipt or invoice). Please do not take or ship the product to the manufacturer directly.
  3.  This warranty does not cover any damages which result from misuse, environmental influence (water, fire, accidents etc.), normal wear and tear or failure to comply with the instructions provided in this user manual. The warranty does not apply if modifications and services were performed by unauthorized persons or if non-original components and accessories were used.
  4.  This warranty does not affect any statutory consumer rights, including claims in tort and claims with respect to a breach of contract, which the buyer may have against the seller or the manufacturer of the product. The warranty is not transferable to anyone who obtains possession or ownership other than the original purchaser.

DISPOSAL

In order to protect the environment, remember to properly dispose of your product. When you stop using your product, please make sure you dispose of the product in accordance with your local waste management regulations.
