Set up your Whistle

Open the Whistle 3 app on your smartphone and follow the step-by-step instructions for setup. The whistle will need to connect to a Wi-Fi network, so we recommend you set up at home.

Let your Whistle Charge

Once the LED light on the Whistle is green, you’ll know that it’s charged. We’ll send you a notification on your phone when it’s time to attach the Whistle to your pet.

Whistle care

The whistle is waterproof. We recommend rinsing and drying it regularly, especially after swimming, to keep it from rusting. Be sure to charge your Whistle regularly to keep your pet safe. Enjoy!

Attaching Whistle to your pet’s collar in 3 easy steps:

  1. To attach Whistle to your pet’s collar, take the collar attachment (A) and collar strap (B) and place your pet’s collar in between the two, so that the attachment can latch onto either side of the collar strap.

  3. To detach the Whistle, squeeze the tab on the collar attachment (A), turn counterclockwise, and lift to remove.

How to charge Whistle

Attach your Whistle to the charger by turning it clockwise and securing it in place. Plug the USB charging cable into a computer or wall power adapter (recommend 5V). The orange light will turn on to show the device is charging. Once complete the light will turn green.

OPTIMIZE SIGNAL PERFORMANCE

  • Place the charging base station indoors, in an open location, away from any metal appliances.
  • Do not attach your Tagg to any metal collars or collars that are adorned with spikes, jewels or other studs.
  • Do not cut, disassemble, or alter the Tagg Tracker.

MAXIMIZING BATTERY LIFE

  • Leave the charging base station plugged in at all times.
  • Your Tagg tracker automatically enters Power Save mode when it is near the charging base station. Place the base in an area close to where your pet spends most of its time.

How do I know if my Whistle is charging?****

The LED light on the Whistle will be solid red while it’s charging. When it’s fully charged, the light will turn green. If the light is blinking red, that means your Whistle is not properly connected to the charger.

How long does it take to charge my Whistle?****

It takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge your Whistle.

How long will a full charge last?****

A full charge will last up to 3 weeks depending on usage.

What happens if I forget to charge my Whistle?****

You can still use your Whistle without charging, but you’ll need to replace the batteries every few months. For optimal performance, we recommend charging your whistle regularly.

What if I lose my Whistle?****

If you lose your Whistle, you can use the app to track its location and make it beep so you can find it. If you still can’t find it after several days, contact us at support@whistle.com and we’ll help you locate it.

How much data does your GPS Pet Locator use?****

Average daily use ranges between 20-30 MBs of data per month.

How accurate are GPS pet trackers?****

The Tractive GPS mainly uses GPS signals to accurately locate your pet. On average, GPS positions are accurate to around 8 meters when the tracker has a clear line of sight to the sky.
