3-3 12V Trigger In/Out The 12V Trigger In/Out allows the DM7 to be activated by other devices or to activate other devices via a 3.5mm mini phone plug cable. The connected device must be equipped with a 12V Trigger In/Out to use this feature.

*Note:
“DIS: A” has the same brightness as “DIS: M”. The differences lie in when there is no operation after 30 seconds under” DIS: A” mode, the screen will be automatically turned off, only display a dot at the bottom right corner. You can press any button to light up the screen.

Operation

Power on & off / standby operation:

  1. Power on & off: Press the power switch on the rear panel to turnDM7 on or off.
  2. Standby setting: When it is working, press and hold the multifunction button on the front panel to enter standby state and short press to exit standby state when it is in standby. Or you can directly press the standby button on remote control to enter or exit standby state.

Auto power on&standby Three options are available and can be set either in the setup menu or by pressing the Auto power on&standby button on the remote control.

  • SIGNAL: On & standby based on input status. If the current input is not connected or input signal is invalid in 1 minute, it will automatically enter the standby state. Once having detected valid signal, it will automatically return to working state.
  • TRIGGER: On & standby based on trigger signal. When DM7’s Trigger In is connected to another device’s 12V Trigger Out, DM7’s power on/standby can be controlled through this device. DM7 will be powered on when Trigger In detects a 12V signal, and returns to standby state in case the 12V signal disappears.
  • OFF: Disabled this function

Volume setting:

  1. The enter and exit of mute state: Press the mute button on the remote control to set mute, press the mute button again or adjust the volume to exit mute state.
  2. Volume adjusting: Adjust volume by pressing the up/down button on the panel or up/down button on the remote control. Long press the volume up/down button will quickly adjust the volume, so please be careful in order to protect your hearing.

Note : Volume is fixed to 0dB in DAC mode and volume adjusting is invalid in this mode.

Channel balance setting

  1. Description: Additional volume of CH1 to CH8 can be set separately (setting range: -60dB — -0dB). The actual volume of each channel = master volume + additional volume. For example, if the master volume is -3dB and the additional volume of CH1 is set to -5dB, then the actual volume of CH 1 is -8dB. If you want to reset the additional volume of all channels to -0dB, please select the “Channel Vol reset” option.
  2. Operation:
    • The remote control: press the M button to enter or exit configuration, press the volume up/down button to enter the previous/next setting item, press the left/right button to set different parameters.
    • The buttons on front panel: press the multifunction button to enter configuration or switch the setting item, press the volume up or down button to set different parameters, press and hold the multifunction button to exit configuration.

Setup Menu
Enter the setup menu: After switching the power switch to “power off”, press and hold the multifunction button on the front panel while switching to “power on” to enter the setup menu of DM7.
Change and save of settings: Press the volume up or down button on the front panel to enter the previous or next setting, and press the multifunction button to set different parameters. You need to choose the 7th option of “Save and exit” after setting the parameter.

  4. Maximum output level at 0dBFS
  5. PCM filter setting
  6. DSD filter setting
  7. Save setting and restart
  8. Factory reset

Precautions

  1. The output jacks shall not be grounded or short-circuited.
  2. You must not keep the DM7 in a hot, humid environment or drop it.
  3. Opening the case instantly voids the warranty!
  4. Topping accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from the failure of DM7.
