Product Information
The KL 300 Linear Amplifier is designed for use in the HF frequency range with a power supply of 12-14Vcc and an input current of up to 20A. It has an input power range of 1-10W and an output power range of 2-20W in SSB mode and 140W in AM/FM mode and 250W in SSB mode. The input VSWR is 1.1-1.5:1 for AM/FM/SSB modes. The amplifier operates in VOX RTX switching mode and has protection against inverse polarity. It comes with a 24-month warranty, but note that this warranty does not cover RF transistors or aesthetic damage. It is important to note that the use of linear amplifiers is subject to specific laws, and the manufacturer cannot be held responsible for unlawful use. The use of this device on the 27MHz band is forbidden. If the amplifier is installed in a vehicle, the vehicle must be stationary before use. The KL300P Linear Amplifier is CE standards compliant when used in conjunction with the RM 27/586 external Low Pass Filter connected between the KL300P (ANT) Output and Antenna.
Product Usage
- Connect the amplifier to the power supply using the red and black wires, ensuring correct polarity.
- Connect the RTX (Radio Transmitter) to the amplifier using appropriate cables.
- Connect the antenna to the KL300P Linear Amplifier ANT socket.
- Ensure that the RM 27/586 external Low Pass Filter is connected between the KL300P (ANT) Output and Antenna for CE standards compliance.
- Turn on the amplifier by switching it to the desired mode (AM/FM/SSB) and adjust the input power level to between 1-10W.
- Adjust the output power level as required, up to a maximum of 140W in AM/FM mode and 250W in SSB mode. It is important to note that the input VSWR should be maintained at 1.1-1.5:1 for best performance.
- When using the amplifier in VOX RTX switching mode, ensure that the appropriate setting is selected for your radio transmitter.

The power supply cable should be shorter than 3m and have a cross sectional area of at least 1.5mm² (16AWG). If installed in a vehicle it should prefereably be connected directly to the battery via a fuse.
