RM Italy KL 35 Linear Amplifier
Product Information: KL 35 Linear Amplifier
The KL 35 Linear Amplifier is a device that amplifies the signal from a radio transmitter to increase its output power. It operates in the frequency range of 28-29.7 MHz and requires a power supply of 12-14Vcc with an input current of 4A max. The input power should be within 1.0-5W to produce an output power of 25-35W. The input VSWR should be within 1.1-1.5:1 for optimal performance. The device has two modes of operation – AM/FM and VOX RTX switching. It comes with a 5A fuse for protection against overcurrent.
The KL 35 Linear Amplifier is designed for use with antennas and can be connected to a radio transmitter through an external filter such as RM 27/586 Low Pass Filter. It is essential to note that the device cannot be used on the 27MHz band, and the use of linear amplifiers is governed by specific laws that the user must understand.
The manufacturer provides a 24-month warranty for the device, except for RF transistors and aesthetic damage. If the KL 35 Linear Amplifier is installed in a vehicle, the vehicle must be stationary before use.
Product Usage Instructions: KL 35 Linear Amplifier
- Connect the linear amplifier to the power supply (12-14Vcc) and turn it on.
- Connect the radio transmitter to the linear amplifier’s input using a coaxial cable.
- Ensure that the input power of the radio transmitter is within 1.0-5W.
- Set the operating mode to AM/FM or VOX RTX switching.
- Check the input VSWR, which should be within 1.1-1.5:1 for optimal performance.
- The output power of the KL 35 Linear Amplifier should be between 25-35W.
- Use an external filter such as RM 27/586 Low Pass Filter between the KL203 (ANT) output and the antenna for optimal performance.
- If the device is installed in a vehicle, ensure that the vehicle is stationary before use.
- Do not use the KL 35 Linear Amplifier on the 27MHz band, and understand the specific laws governing the use of linear amplifiers.
