TEVO Smart RF Wireless Thermostat User Manual

Application

Our TEVO thermostat is used in synergy with the wireless wiring centre box. The TEVO communicates with our wiring centre through our wireless gateway using Zigbee  protocol.
Our thermostat comes with radiator, hot water and underfloor heating control capabilities. App controlled via SmartLife and Tuya found on both iOS and Andriod. Operated via 2x AA batteries.

Operation

There are three core modes to select from:

  1. UFH Thermostat 2. Timer 3. Radiator & Timer
  2. Thermostat only operation 1. Press this button to power ON/OFF your thermostat.
  3. Time setting: Press button to set min/hour/week
  4. Manual/Program setting: Manual mode: Press button to select manual mode. will show on the bottom left corner of the screen, press to set the desired temperature. Program Mode: Press button to select program mode. When you choose this mode , will show, press and hold for 5 seconds to set the desired four periods of time and temperature per day.
  5. Temporary mode: During program mode, if you need to change the temperature, both icons will show on LCD. The preprogrammed setting will return in the next period. (Table 1)
  6. Child lock set: Press an hold for 7 seconds to lock/ unlock your thermostat.
  7. Factory setting: Press for 7 seconds to enter program mode. Press and hold for 5 seconds until the “def” icon flashes on screen. Your TEVO device has now been reset to factory settings.

2.Timer only operation
The LCD will display as seen in Fig 1-1

Timer function symbol will display on screen.
Press menu button to set the function and press to select one of AUTO,HOLD or OFF. Then press button to confirm your selection.
Program mode: When you select AUTO (programmable)
mode (Fig1-2) long press to enter program setting. The order is Mon-Fri > Period 1> Time on > Time off > Period 2 > Time on > Time off > Period 3 > Time on > Time  off > Period 4

HOLD mode: Press to select HO1(HOLD) (Fig1-3) . You can adjust the time setting between: 00:00-23:59.

3.Thermostat and HW Timer
1.When you select this mode, the LCD will display at the same time. When power on, short press to select thermostat function and hot water timer function. Press to confirm.
Short press to enter thermostat function.
Then press button to select manual or program mode
Short press to select HW timer. Press to select AUT (AUTO program), HOL(HOLD) and OFF. When HOL is selected, you can adjust the time setting range: 00:01- 23:59
Program model: Long press for 7 seconds to select thermostat function and HW timer program. Short press to confirm. (Fig 1-4).

Thermostat setting order: Mon-Fri, Sat, Sun >Time > Temperature (4 periods). The thermostats time zones are preprogrammed according to Table 1.
HW timer setting order: Mon-Fri ,Sat, Sun > Period 1 >Time on >Time off (4 periods). (Table 2)

How to pair with your wireless wiring centre
Power OFF your thermostat and press both and over 7 seconds. Wireless center box or receiver should also be ON during pairing. When successfully paired, the LCD will display the zone channel it has paired with. See Fig 1-5 H/W is channel 9
When the LCD displays “—“, this means that thermostat has enter standby (wiring centre and gateway will also be in standby). If you have successfully paired your devices,  the LCD will display the zone that it is paired with.

NOTE:
Flashing icon means RF does not match code.
No icon means no RF signal.
Always on screen means RF working normal.
If your thermostat signal is not stable, you should change wireless com- modification channel. Long press over 7 seconds to change the channel. Press button to change between 0-3.
By changing channel 1 successfully, the others will change automatically.

Configuration Menu

Power OFF your thermostat and long press to open up the menu. During this menu, short press to edit the desired parameters. Press to confirm the settings.

Radiators: When you use the radiators system, there is no pump utilization.
Under Floor Heating: When you select the UFH system, there will be pump output.
(Wiring centre will have a 3 minute delay)

Low battery alarm
Low Battery icon will display when the battery is down to 10%. The icon will flash when the battery is down to 1%. At this stage you should replace with new batteries  immediately as the thermostat will stop functioning.
Anti Freeze Function
When thermostat detects a room temperature of lower than or equal 5℃, the thermostat will activate the heating. When thermostat detects a room temperature of 8℃,  heating will turn OFF.
Holiday mode
Long press for 7 seconds to enter holiday mode. Then short press button to set the day and temperature press to set the parameters you need. Press to exit this. Duping holiday mode, H/W timer is OFF. To exit holiday mode, short press .
ERR CODE
When thermostat sensor is broken or has a problem, the LCD will display “ERR”.
Pairing with ZigBee gateway
Long press button over 7 seconds when thermostat powered ON. When the thermostat displays ”—” it has ended pairing mode. If the connection is successful the screen will auto return to the main screen.

Open “Smart Life” app and follow registration instruction
Through the app, you can control the devices with voice control by integrating amazon echo or google assistant.
The app arrives with an easy to use interface with elegant features. As a result, using the app is extremely straightforward. One of the notable things about the app is that you  can control your home appliances from anywhere.
The app also allows you to add and control a variety of devices at once. You can also let the device to automatically start or stop based on the location, time, and temperature. It also allows you to share the control of the devices among family members. Also including a real-time safety features that will enable you to contact your home in case of  any breaches or issues.

How to use the Smart Life App
Smart Life will only work with the devices developed by the app manufacturer. Start with installing the app on your device. Then open the application and register for an  account. The app will automatically detect your country code. In case it does not detect, you will be required to enter the code manually. Then you will need to enter your  phone number or email address. There will be a verification code sent to you which will require confirmation.
Once complete, click on the plus icon in the top right of the app to add a device. The app should automatically pair with the devices.
In case you see a message that says “failed to add”, you will be required to pair manually. After successfully pairing with the application, you can set the name of the device.  Now you will be able to control the devices from your app interface.

CONNECT TO ZIGBEE – EASY PAIR
Connect to ZigBee Gateway
Firstly, power ON your wireless gateway. Long press the Power / Reset button until the the red light is stable and the blue light flashes rapidly. Open the app and press ”+”  button to add your device. Navigating to the gateway menu and selecting Wireless Gateway. You will now be asked to connect your device to the desired Wi-Fi band. You  should now turn your Bluetooth ON if you have not already. The app will now automatically find your device.

Connect your thermostat
Long press over 7 seconds with the thermostat ON.
Thermostat will display “—”. Press the ”+” in the top right corner of the app. The app will discover nearby devices .You will be asked to add the device to your profile (Fig 3- 1). Then press “Done” (Fig 3-2). Insert your home Wi-Fi name and password (Fig 1-3) then press done. You have the ability to name your device at this stage.

Settings on APP

After your thermostat connects successfully, you can change the setting parameters as you require (Fig 4-1). If there is no connection between the thermostat and wiring  centre or the pairing codes do not match; the screen will display “Please match code”. Once paired the message will disappear.

CONNECT WITH AMAZON ALEXA AND GOOGLE ASSISTANCE
On the app, select in the top right hand corner of the screen (Fig 9-1). Select to access third party control settings.
Select your desired Smart 3rd party device and follow the on-screen instructions.

Thermostats Trouble Shooting
