Product Information

The Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer Load is an advanced wall dimmer switch that allows you to control the brightness of your lights with ease. It features a removable faceplate, a slider with a brightness indicator, and a power button with power and Wi-Fi indicators. The switch is designed to be mounted in a wall gang box and requires a live, neutral, and ground wire for proper installation. It operates on a frequency range of 2412-2462 MHz (max. 2495 MHz) and comes with a supplied antenna to maintain compliance with FCC’s RF Exposure guidelines.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Turn off the power to the circuit that you will be working on.
  2. Remove the existing wall dimmer switch from the gang box.
  3. Connect the live wire from the circuit to the live terminal on the Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer Load.
  4. Connect the neutral wire from the circuit to the neutral terminal on the Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer Load.
  5. Connect the ground wire from the circuit to the ground terminal on the Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer Load.
  6. Insert the Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer Load into the gang box and secure it with screws.
  7. Attach the supplied antenna to the switch.
  8. Attach the faceplate to the switch.
  9. Turn on the power and use the slider to control the brightness of your lights.

Remember to maintain a minimum distance of 20cm between the switch and your body to comply with FCC’s RF Exposure guidelines.
Use only the supplied antenna for optimal performance.

Product Introduction

Shelly® is a line of innovative microprocessor-managed devices, which allow remote control of electric circuits through a mobile phone, tablet, PC,
or home automation system. Shelly® devices can work standalone on a local Wi- Fi network or be operated through cloud home automation services, MQTT, UDP or other protocols. Shelly® devices can communicate directly with other Wi-Fi devices through HTTP protocol. An API is provided
by Alterio Robotics EOOD. For more information, please visit: https://shelly- apl-docs.shelly.cloud/#shelly-famlly-overvlew. Shelly® devices can
be accessed, controlled and monitored remotely from any place where the User has internet connectivity, as long as the devices are connected to a
Wi-Fi router and the Internet. Shelly® devices have embedded Web Interface accessible at http://192.168.33.1 when connected directly to the device’s
access point, or at the device’s IP address on the local Wi-Fi network. The embedded Web Interface can be used to monitor and control the device, as
well as adjust its settings.

Shelly Cloud is our service that can be accessed using either Android or iOS mobile application, or with any internet browser
at https://homa.shally.cloud/. Shelly Plus® Wall Dimmer (the Device) can switch on/off and vary the brightness of compatible dimmable bulbs. It can be easily wired in the place of a standard light switch.

Installation Instructions

  • CAUTION! The product is intended for indoor use only.
  • CAUTION! Protect the product from dirt and moisture! Do not use the product in a damp environment!
  • CAUTION! Danger of electrocution. The mounting/installation of the Device should be done by a qualified person (electrician).
  • CAUTION! Do not connect the Device to circuits exceeding the given max load!
  • CAUTION! Connect the Device only in the way shown in these instructions. Any other method could cause damage and/or injury.
  • CAUTION! Use the Device only with power grid and appliances which comply with all applicable regulations. Short circuit in the power grid or any appliance connected to the Device may damage the Device.

initial Inclusion

  1. Verify that the circuit breaker is turned off and no voltage is present on its output terminals.

  2. Remove the existing light switch wall plate and light switch.

  3. Make sure that a neutral wire is present in the gang box. If neutral is present, disconnect the existing light switch, making note of the line and load wires.

  4. Connect the following wires from the Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer Switch to your circuit:
    Green wire connects to the Ground wire.

    • White wire connects to the Neutral wire.
    • Black wire connects to the incoming Live wire.
    • Red wire connects to the load wire.
  5. Fix firmly the Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer to the gang box with the included screws.

  6. Install the new wall plate.

  7. Turn on the circuit breaker.

  8. When the Device is powered on, the power indicator will turn on and the brightness indicator dots will illuminate one by one. The dot corresponding to the brightness level before the Device has been powered off will stay illuminated.

  9. Press the power button. The power indicator will turn white, and the brightness indicators will display a vertical bar of illuminated dots. The Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer is ready to be added to the Shelly app.

Operating Instructions

  1. Switch the lights on or off by pressing the power button.
  2. Swipe your finger up or down the slider to adjust the brightness of the lights. The brightness indicator will display the current status with a vertical bar of illuminated dots. The highest of the dots stays illuminated after the lights are switched off.

In order to reserve boot the Device, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds while powered. For factory reset press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

If you choose to use the Device with the Shelly Cloud mobile application and Shelly Cloud service, instructions how to connect the Device to the Cloud and control It through the Shelly App can be found in the “App Guide”. Shelly Mobile Application and Shelly Cloud service are not conditions for the Device’s proper functioning. This Device can be used stand-alone or with various other home automation services and applications.

CAUTION! Do not allow children to play with the buttons/switches connected to the Device. Keep the Devices for remote control of Shelly (mobile phones, tablets, PCs) away from children.

Shelly® Plus Wall Dimmer must be recycled to avoid possible damage to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal and to promote the reuse of materials and resources. It is your responsibility to dispose of the device separately from general household waste when it is already unusable.
