Operation
Mobile app
The AMIBOT HOME app offers access to all the functions listed in this manual.
Downloading
Download the AMIBOT HOME mobile app available for Android and iOS, then create
an account. To do this, follow the steps in the app directly.
Pairing a device
IMPORTANT: You must make sure that your Wi-Fi router is connected to the 2.4 GHz band and not the 5 GHz band so that you can pair your robot with the AMIBOT HOME app. Please check your router settings or contact your Internet provider’s customer service department.
Add the robot using the “+” button on the app’s home page.
To activate the robot’s pairing mode, hold the power button and home base button at the same time for around 5 seconds. Then follow the steps indicated on your smartphone.
Once the robot is correctly paired to your smartphone, go to its settings and control it remotely.
Sharing the robot
You can control the robot on several smartphones at a time. To do this, the
robot must be shared.
Go to the robot’s page and click on the Pencil icon at the top right of the
screen. Select Share Devices then Add Sharing. Enter the email address of the
user you want to share the robot with. The user must have already downloaded
the AMIBOT HOME app and created their account.
NOTE:
- You need to have one AMIBOT Home user account per smartphone.
- To remove a user from a robot share, go to the device’s sharing settings, select the user you would like to remove and swipe to the left. Then click on Delete. The user can also remove the robot directly via these same settings by clicking on Remove robot sharing.
Operating the robot
The robot has a laser and smart gyroscope system. It uses a precise route and
marks out the area it will clean in squares.
Thanks to the laser and AMIBOT HOME mobile app, you can follow the robot’s cleaning route in real time via the map.
NOTE: For the purposes of continuous improvement, updates to the AMIBOT HOME mobile app may lead to some settings being changed.
Charging
Assembling the home base (Spirit Premium version)To plug in the home base, open the cover under the robot
and plug in the power cable. Wind the cable around integrated cable tidy and
thread through the recess. Then put the cover back on again. Place the home
base on a level surface next to a wall, at a right angle to the floor. Keep a
distance of at least 1.5 m in front of the base and 0.5 m at either side.
NOTE: When your AMIBOT Spirit Premium robot is on its home base, make sure that your robot is switched on and the home base power light is on.
Assembling the auto-empty station (Spirit Premium Station version) Plug in the auto-empty station using the power cable. Place the home base on a level surface 6 cm from the wall. Keep a distance of at least 1.5 m in front of the base and 0.5 m at either side. Place the dust bag in its compartment in the auto-empty station.
Once cleaning is complete, the robot goes to auto-empty at its auto-empty station and then charges from the front.
NOTE:
- When your AMIBOT Spirit Premium robot is on its auto-empty station, make sure that your robot is switched on and the station’s power light is on.
- The auto-empty station must be placed on a smooth, flat surface, otherwise the robot may not empty effectively.
Switching on the robot Press the power button for 3 seconds. The robot is ready to be charged.
Charging the robot The battery can only be charged on the home base.
NOTE:
- The robot must be switched on while it is being charged.
- Do not place a mirror or other highly reflective object within a distance of at least 15 cm from the home base.
- Do not place the home base in direct sunlight.
- When the robot’s battery is completely flat, the power button’s indicator light flashes red. While charging, the indicator light flashes blue. Once fully charged, the indicator light is steady blue.
- If the battery is weak while the robot is cleaning, it automatically returns to its home base. The home base must therefore be switched on.
- If the robot is not used for a long period of time, you are recommended to fully charge the battery, switch off the robot and store it in a cool, dry place.
Vacuum modeTo use the vacuum mode, attach the dustbin to back of the appliance.
Mopping mode
Attaching the cleaning pad
Attach the cleaning pad (Figure 1) to the base using the Velcros on the underneath (Figure 2).
Preparing and inserting the 2-in-1 compartment
Open the water tank’s refill nozzle (Figure 1) and carefully pour in clean water with some floor cleaner.
NOTE:
- For optimum performance, the water tank must have at least 50 ml of liquid.
- For optimum cleaning, check the dilution ratio indicated on the detergent bottle.
- Only use floor cleaner products. Prolonged use of any other product, such as white vinegar, essential oils, black soap or bleach, could damage the water tank.
- A cleaning pad must be attached to the back of the robot whenever there is water in the water tank.
Inserting the 2-in-1 compartment
Thanks to the 2-in-1 compartment, the robot can vacuum and mop hard floors at the same time. Clip it on the cleaning pad attachment to the back of the robot, which automatically detects the tank. The robot is ready to start its mopping cycle.
When the robot is turned on for its cleaning cycle, the automatic pump in the water tank is activated to clean hard floors.
NOTE:
- You can regulate the water tank’s water flow intensity via the remote control (see page 10).
- Do not use the water tank on rugs or carpets.
- Empty the water tank and remove the cleaning pad attachment from the robot before charging it.
Tips: When using the mopping mode, remove the central brush from its compartment to prevent risk of oxidation. This will make cleaning the robot easier!
Auto-emptying of robot
After each cleaning in suction mode (only), the robot will automatically empty
its dust tank on its station.
The automatic emptying is carried out via the flap located underneath the
robot. It is therefore essential to remove the H2O mop holder.
The robot then moves backwards on its station in order to position the dust tank discharge valve on the station’s suction circuit inlet. Once in contact, the automatic emptying starts. The robot then positions itself on its station from the front, in order to recharge. The frequency of emptying can be adjusted in the robot settings, from the AMIBOT HOME application.
NOTES :
- It is necessary to remove the H2O mop holder from the robot in order to perform an automatic emptying.
Starting the robot
Attach the 2-in-1 compartment and switch the robot on. Wait a few seconds to
let it start up, then press the power button on the robot or the AUTO button
on the remote control.
The robot starts its cleaning cycle in AUTO mode.
NOTE:
- If the robot is in standby mode, press the power button on the robot once or the AUTO button on the remote control to come out of standby.
- The robot’s cycle can be interrupted and it can be manually controlled using the remote control.
Daily
Scheduling can only be performed via the AMIBOT HOME mobile app. Set your
preferred daily cleaning times via the mobile app.
Cleaning modes
The robot has five cleaning modes. These cleaning modes can be selected via
the remote control or the AMIBOT HOME mobile app. AUTO and AREA TO CLEAN mode
can also be selected via the robot.
AUTO mode
Press the power
button on the robot or the AUTO button on the remote control. The robot uses
its laser to scan the room to optimize its movements. It divides the room into
areas in a zig-zag fashion to vacuum any debris and dust.
During an AUTO mode cleaning cycle, the robot may take a short break, so it
can scan the room in real time and adapt its movements.
MAX mode
The MAX mode is useful for floors that are extremely dusty. The robot has three vacuum levels. Press the MAX button on the remote control to increase or decrease the robot’s vacuum level.
NOTE: MAX mode is only accessible when the robot is in vacuum mode. It cannot be selected while the water tank is inserted. However, you can regulate the water flow intensity via the remote control.
SPOT mode
This mode is the most effective when cleaning a particularly dirty area. With SPOT mode, the robot concentrates on a 1.5 m x 1.5 m area. At the same time, it activates its MAX vacuum power to vacuum the dust from the floor more easily.
AREA TO CLEAN mode
The robot’s AREA TO CLEAN mode is available to clean a particular area. With this mode, the robot cleans an area of 1.8 m x 1.8 m. To use this mode, you need to place the robot in the area you want to clean and press the Home base button on the robot for 3 seconds or the AREA TO CLEAN button on the remote control.
HOME mode
If you need to charge the robot at any time while in use, you can do so by pressing the Home base button. The robot will automatically go back to its home base once it has completed its cleaning cycle (the time it needs to search depends on the distance between the home base and if there are any obstacles along its route).
Pause
To pause the robot, press the power button on the robot or the OK button on
the remote control.
Stopping the robot
When the robot finishes its cleaning cycle, it goes back to its home base.
Press the power button on the robot or the OK button on the remote control to
manually stop the robot.
With the Spirit Premium Station version, the robot automatically empties the
dust in its compartment when it returns to the auto-empty station. The
frequency with which the compartment empties automatically can be modified
directly via the application.
Switching off the robot
Press the power button for 5 seconds.
The robot is switched off.
NOTE: never switch off the robot when it is on the home base.
Maintenance
Side brushesUnclip the side
brushes by gently pulling them upwards and rinse them under clean water. Wait
until they are completely dry before reusing them.
Check that the left brush is marked with an “L” and the right brush is marked
with an “R”. The engraved letters on the side brushes and the robot are there
to guide you.
NOTE: Side brushes must be replaced if you notice that their original
shape has changed.
Side wheels and castor
Wipe the side wheels with a dry cloth to remove built up dust.
Pull firmly on the castor block to remove it. Then remove all the debris from inside the cavity using a soft cloth. Use a slotted screwdriver to remove the castor from its frame and wipe it clean. Remove the hair and other debris caught around the axle.
Compartments and filters
Dustbin
You should empty the dustbin every time the robot completes a cleaning cycle. Remove the dustbin by pressing the release button and empty it by opening the cover located on the underneath. Then check that there is no dirt obstructing the robot’s vacuum system.
Filters
Open the dustbin to access the filters and clean them.
- The HEPA filter cannot be cleaned, otherwise it would become damaged. To extend the filter’s life, gently shake it outside to remove any small dust particles that may have gathered. If the HEPA filter is damaged, it is advisable to replace it to keep up the efficiency of the robot’s filter.
- Carefully shake the pre filter and protection filter to remove any dust particles and rinse it with clean water. Let it completely dry before putting it back in the dustbin.
Water tank
Empty the water tank of any remaining water and rinse it with clean water. Regularly check that the tank’s two drip nozzles are not obstructed by debris or limescale. Clean them with a soft cloth. Wait until the water tank is completely dry before reusing it.
Gap and power sensors
The gap and power sensors on the bottom of the robot and on the home base must be regularly cleaned with a soft cloth. Never let the sensors get wet.
Central brush
Unclip the central brush’s cover underneath the robot and remove the main brush. Clean the cavity using a soft cloth and remove dust and hair caught around the brush. Run under clean water for optimum cleaning. Wait until it is fully dry before putting it back.
Microfibre cleaning pads
The microfibre cleaning pads are machine washable at 30° maximum or may be
hand-washed with clean water and your usual washing detergent.
NOTE: Accessories need to be replaced in accordance with how frequently
the robot is used and the amount and type of debris that it picks up.
Auto-empty station (Spirit Premium Station version)
Empty the auto-empty station whenever it is necessary. Open the auto-empty
station hood, then remove the dust bag by pulling on the tab (the bag is
automatically sealed).
Insert a new dust bag.
To ensure an optimum use of the auto-empty station, regularly clean the
charging sensors using a soft cloth. Also make sure the fan cover is kept
clean.
