PRECAUTIONS

CAUTION

  • As a driver, you are responsible for your safety and the safety of your passengers.
  • Please do not operate the system while driving. Only operate the system when the vehicle is parked safely and the brake is engaged.
  • Avoid from playing any multimedia content and/or operating the unit’s controls while driving. Watch- ing videos and operating the unit while driving are prohibited by law in some countries.
  • In the event that the unit’s display does not display properly or the audio is inaudible, please stop using the unit and immediately consult your nearest au- thorized dealer or service center for this unit. Pleasedo not disassemble or modify this unit. It will void the unit’s warranty and may cause an accidental fire, or electric shock to the user.
  • The mist will disappear once the temperature inside the car returns to room temperature (about 25°C).
  • Please consult your nearest authorized dealer or service center immediately in the event that foreign particles or moisture enter this unit, and smoke or unusual smell is detected.
  • When driving please keep the Audio volume to a level at which external sounds can be heard.
  • Please ensure that the fuses are replaced with the correct specifications. Any change in fuse specifica- tions may cause a fire.
  • If the unit requires to be removed or reinstalled, please consult the nearest authorized dealer or service center for this unit. The installation or removal of the unit requires an experienced skilled professional.

CAUTIONS ON HANDLING

Operation Panel
Please observe the following precautions.

  • The touch screen panel is designed to operate within the range of -20°C to 70°C.
  • In extreme cold, the display may refresh slower or become darker than usual. This is typical in sub- optimal temperatures.
  • Exposure of this unit to moisture must be prevented, as it may damage the internal circuitry and possiblycause afire.
  • Please do not place lit cigarettes near the units’s display. Doing so may damage the display or cause a fire
  • There may be small black and shiny spots inside the liquid crystal display panel. This is normal for LCD products.

USB Port

  • Only USB memory sticks recognized as “USB mass storage class” will work properly in the unit
  • Inthe event that a USB merory stick’s data is corrupted or damaged when used in this unit, the unit’s manufacturer shall not be liable for any loss or damage.
  • It is recommend that the USB memory stick data is backed up before use in the unit
  • If the USB memory stick is unreadable, please try removing and reinserting the USB memory stick
  • Do not connect this unit’s USB port to any external computer.

Cleaning

  • Use a soft, dry cloth and gently wipe the dirt off. For tougher stains, use a neutral base detergent, which has been diluted in water. Apply it to a soft cloth and
    wipe the dirt off gently, and then wipe again with a dry cloth.

  • Do not use benzene, thinner, car cleaner, etc., as these substances may damage the unit or cause the paint to peel.

  • Leaving rubber or plastic based products in contact with the unit for long periods of time may cause stains.

  • The liquid crystal panel tends to collect dust, wipe it off occasionally with a soft cloth. The LCD surface can be easily scratched, do not rub it with rough / hard objects.

About the registered marks, etc.

  • Use of the Made for Apple badge means that an accessory has been designed to connect specifically to the Apple products identified in the badge, and has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance standards. Use of the Apple CarPlay logo means that a vehicle user interface meets Apple performance standards.   • Press the button for more than 1 second.

BASIC OPERATIONS

Turning on/off the power

  1. Press the button to switch on this unit.
  2. It automatically remembers its last source mode and will automatically switch to display that mode.
  3. Press the  button for more than 1 second to switch off the unit.

Note:

  • Be careful about using this unit for a long time without running the engine. If you drain the car’s battery too much, you may not be able to start the engine and this can reduce the service life of the battery.

Switching Source Modes

  1. Press the In button to access the Home Screen.
  2. Select any source mode to switch mode.

Home Screen

The Home screen of the system contains 3 tiles and 7 icons, which allows quick access to important functions.

  1. Paired Device button.
  2. Displays the widget:
    • Short Press middle panel to go to the corresponding screen.
    • Slide Left/Right to edit position of 3 tiles on home screen.
  3. PVM button.
  4. Phone burton
  5. Media button
  6. Apple CarPlay button
  7. Android Auto button
  8. Settings Button

Switch to Clock display

  1. Press the button to switch to clock display. Audio will continue playing in the background.
  2. Press the button for the display to return to previous display.
  3. Press In button to switch to Home screen display.

Adjusting the Volume
Press the VOL + to increase the volume Press the vol – to decrease the volume. The volume will be displayed overlapping the touch screen for 4 seconds. Press any area of the touch screen to immediately cancel the volume display.

  • The volume level is from 0 (minimum) to 40 (maximum). The factory default setting for this volume is “10”

Mute Function
Press the button to activate the mute function. Press the button again to unmute.
Notes:

  • The mute function is applied to both volume gains, but it can- not function while in a phone call.
  • Mute will be released by phone call interrupts. Ongoing voice
    guidance from navigation applications will not release mute.

Parking Brake Safety
The video at the unit can only be displayed when the parking brake is enabled (when the car is parked). The audio portion of the video can still be played, but a notification screen will be displayed in place of the video display .TOYOTA-AVX-AACP-Panoramic-View-Monitor-FIG-8

  1. Tap a button on Home Screen and sources screen will displayed.

Band Select
Tap [ FM1,FM2,FM3] button to change the current band of radio, Each band contain 6 presets.

Storing preset memory
Preset memory function can store 6 stations for each band.

  1. Press the button to select the desired band.
  2. Press the button to tune into a desired station.
  3. Press and hold the preset to save the current frequency under preset list.

Notes:

  • The present memory will be reset after disconnecting the vehicle battery.

Recalling Preset Memory
Pressing the Station/frequency in the preset list will recall the stored radio frequency.

Auto Seek

  1. Press the button to perform seeking in the direction of higher frequencies.
  2. Press the button to perform seeking in the direction of lower frequencies.

Station List

  1. Press the button to display the FM/AM Station List screen.
  2. In the Station List screen, browse through the list of stations and tap on the required radio station to save in the preset list.
  3. Press to refresh the station list.

Manual Tuning

  1. Press the button to perform a single step in the direction of higher frequencies.
  2. Press and hold the  button to continuously search for higher frequencies.
  3. Press the button to perform a single step in the direction of lower frequencies.
  4. Press and hold the  button to continuously search for lower frequencies.

Auto Store
Auto store is a function for storing the valid stations that are automatically tuned in sequentially. If receivable stations cannot be found then the remaining memory locations will retain the previous station selections. Press the button to begin the auto-store function. The first 6 stations received are stored automatically into the preset list of the current radio band in the ascending order of the frequencies. The system searches for the available radio stations. The first 6 stations are stored in the presets of the current radio band in the ascending order of the frequencies.

Radio Text
Display Radio Text data transmitted by RDS stations.

Scan
Scans is a function for scan a valid station that dwells for a specified time.

  1. Press the cay button to begin the Scan function.
  2. Press the  ScAr button to choose a station being scanned during the scan dwell time.

Settings
Press to to display System Setting screen.

RDS OPERATIONS (If equipped)

RDS (Radio Data System)
This unit has a built-in RDS decoder system that supports broadcast stations transmitting RDS data. This system can display the name of the broadcast station being received (PS) and can automatically switch to the broadcast station with the best reception as you move long distances (AF switching).

The RDS feature consists of:

  • PTY: Programme Type
  • AF : Alternative Frequency
  • PS: Programme Service
    • RDS interrupt does not function during AM radio reception.
    • When set receives RDS signal, and can read PS data, PS Name appears in the display.

Emergency Broadcast
If an emergency broadcast is received, all the function mode operations are stopped. The display will change accordingly. Press the button while an emergency broadcast is being received. The emergency broadcast reception is canceled and the unit returns to the previous mode.

PTY (Programme Type)
This function enables you to listen to a broadcast of the selected program type even if the unit is on a function mode other than radio.

  • Some countries do not have PTY broadcasts.

Programme Type (PTY) Settings

  1. In the Media setting screen, Tap RDS settings.
  2. Programme Type (PTY): Select to enable / disable Programme Type (PTY) function.

Selecting PTY

  1. Press PTY button at homescreen to enable Category Filter
  2. There are 5 PTY items that can be selected.

To select program types, tap the desired program type. A program type is selected when the check mark is displayed in the checkbox.

Volume Setting of Emergency Broadcast, and PTY
The volume for emergency broadcasts can be set during their respective interrupts.

  • The factory default setting is “10”
    During emergency broadcast, press VOL+ /’ VOL- tO set the volume to the desired level (0 to 16).

  • When the broadcast ends, volume returns to the previous level before the interruption.

AF (Alternate Frequency) Function
The AF function switches to a different frequency on the same network in order to maintain optimum reception.

  1. In the Media setting screen, tap RDS settings.
  2. Alternative Frequency (AF) : select to enable/disable AF function.

USB MODE OPERATIONS

USB
This system can play audio files (MP3/MA/AAC/ FLAC/WM) stored in an USB memory which is rec- ognized an “USB Mass Storage Class device”. You canuse your USB memory as an audio device by simply copying desired audio files into it.

Notes:

  • This svstem will not operate or mav operate improperly with some USB memorv.
  • Files protected with any DRM cannot be played.

About USB memory device

  • USB is an acronym for Universal Serial Bus and refers to an external bus standard supporting data rates of 480 Mbps.
  • This unit is compatible with USB 1.1, 2.0, and BC 1.2 with maximum data transfer rates of 480 Mbps.
  • USB memory devices that can be played by connecting to the unit’s USB cable are limited to those recognized as “USB mass storage class devices” operation is not guaranteed with all USB memory devices.
  • Devices compatible with “USB Mass Storage Class” can be used merely by connecting to the host de- vice, without need for special drivers or application software.
  • Consult the manufacturer of your USB memory device for information regarding whether it is supported by “USB Mass Storage Class” standards.
  • To prevent the accidental loss of data, always back up important data on your computer.
  • This unit does not support connections to a computer. In addition, connections made through a USB hub device are also not supported.
  • When a USB memory device is composed of two or more drives, only one of the drives will be detected.
  • USB memory devices with security functions cannot be played.
  • The order in which tracks are recorded may differ depending on the USB memory device connected (the actual playback order may not be the same as
    that indicated on your computer’s display).

Connecting a USB memory

  • Connect the USB memory device into the port with the correct orientation.
  • Incomplete connections may cause the USB memory device to be unreadable.
  • Depending on the number of tracks stored in the USB device, this unit may take some time to read the storage before playback can begin.
  • USB memory devices may have different shape depends on brands. Some USB memory devices may not be able to plug into the port due to the shape design. Please use an extension cable instead.
  • Please reconnect the USB memory device when it cannot be detected properly.

Note:

  • Do not forcibly connect the USB memory device to the port with incorrect orientation as this will damage the USB memory device as well as the USB slot.

Video/audio playback with USB memory device

  1. Plug in your USB in the USB port.
  2. Once the connection is successful, the system indicates to you that a USB source is connected.  The system also enables in the Media Source List screen.

Note:

  • If you reconnect the same device that you disconnected last, the system will playback where it left off.

CAUTION
Always back up and save important data on your computer.

Unplug the USB memory
When the USB memory device removes from the USB slot during play-back or reading, the playback stops immediately and the unit will return to the source screen.

Notes on using USB memories

  • If the device has no supported files, “No File Available” is displayed.
  • If you reconnect the same device that you disconnected last, the system will resume the last playback position.

USB VIDEO OPERATIONS

Showing video mode screen

  1. Repeat Toggle

    • To toggle between the 2 repeat options, repeat List and repeat Track.
  2. Next / Previous / Fast Forward / Fast
    Rewind

    • Short tap: To play next or previous video.
    • Long tap: To Fast Forward or Fast Rewind the video.
  3. Media Shuffle

    • To toggle between playing the media source tracks in a sequence or enabling shuffling. i.e. playing the  tracks in random order.
  4. Video Browse

    • Tap to display the Video List Screen.
  5. Songs

    • Tap to display USB Media screen. It will be disabled if no audio file is inside the connected USB device.
  6. / Pause / Play

    • Tap to Pause / Play the video.
  7. Video Display Setting

    • Tap to display Video Display Setting Screen.
  8. Setting

    • Tap to display Media Setting Screen.

Playing Video Files

  • Support Video Codec for this unit are: MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4,H.263, H.264 files with the exten- sion code <.avi>, <.mpg>, , , .
  • Normal playback is not guaranteed if video file format is not converted properly.
  • Certain video file format stops playing if you switch to another source while playing it. You cannot play from the last play back position if you switch back to   USB. “Unsupported format” will be displayed on the LCD if the file unable to meet above condition.

MEDIA SCREEN OPERATIONS

  1. Current Audio Source

    • Displays the icon of the audio source currently play- ing.
  2. Current Track Information

    • Displays the details of the currently playing track.
  3. Album Art

    • Displays the album art of the current active track. In case album art is not available, default album art image will be displayed.
  4. Play / Pause button

    • To toggle between playing and pausing.
  5. Folder Up / Down
    To skip playback to the next tracklist or to the previous tracklist.

  6. Media Browse
    • Use the tab to display the Media Browse screen. You can browse through the media files of the cur- recently playing media source.

  7.  Repeat toggle (folder browsing)

    • To toggle between the repeat options: repeat all, repeat track and repeat folder.
  8. Previous Media Track

    • Short press: Moves to the previous media track.
    • Long press: Starts fast rewind and continues till the button is released.
  9. Video Button

    • Toggle between Video / Audio playback. Button will be disabled if there is no video file inside.
  10. Audio Favourite List

    • Display audio Favourite list if available.
  11. Next Media Track

    • Short press: Moves to next media track.
    • Long press: Starts fast forward and continues till the button is released.
  12. Media Shuffle

    • To toggle between playing the media source tracks in a sequence or enabling shuffling, i.e. playing the tracks in random order.
  13.  Setting

    • To go to Setting Screen.

Setting a Track as favourite

  • Press ***** beside the track information. The system adds the currently playing track to the Favourites List.
  • This functionality is only supported for USB.

Playing Audio File

  • This unit may be unable to play back some USB memories or some file due to their characteristics or recording conditions:
  • Depending on the shape of the USB memories and connection ports, some USB memories may not be attached properly or the connection might be loose.
  • This unit can playback MP3 / WMA / M4A / WAV files meeting the conditions below:
  • File: MPEG 1, 2 or 2.5 Layer 3 (MP3); Windows Media Audio 7 / 8 / 9 (WMA); MPEG4 AAC (M4A); PCM / ADPCM (WAV)
  • Bit rates (kbps): 8 – 320.
  • Sampling Frequency (KHz): 8 – 48.
  • This unit can play back USB memory files recorded in VBR (variable bit rate).
  • Some MP3 / WMA / M4A files may not play on this unit because of nonstandard bit rates and sampling frequency.

Browsing Through The Media Content

Managing Music Volume

  • Press the vol + or vol-   control elements to increase/ decrease the volume.

Muting / Un-Muting the Volume

  • Press the control element. The system mutes the media volume and pauses the track. Press the   control element again to unmute the volume.

iPod/iPhone OPERATIONS

This section describes operations when connected to an Apple iPhone via the USB slot.

Notes:

Select iPod Mode
When an iPod is successfully connected, the connection will be indicated by the system.

  1. Press  in the Media browse screen.
  2. System will start playback from the last played track of iPod.

Play/Pause Playback

  1. Press the  button to pause during playback.
  2. Press the button to resume playback.

Switch to Previous/Next Track
Press button during playback to play previous/ next file.

Fast Forward/Backward
Press and hold the button to start fast backward or fast forward during playback. Releasing the button will resume playback at normal speed.

Note:
• The fast forward and fast backward speed may differ depending on the iPod.

Repeat Play

  1. Press the button to select the repeat status for playback. The text will change accordingly.

  2. Every time the button is pressed, the text will change as:
    Repeat Off - > All Repeat -> Track Repeat -› Repeat Off

    • Track Repeat
      Has the same behaviour as the ONE TRACK REPEAT status of iPod.

    • All Repeat
      Has the same behaviour as the ALL REPEAT status of iPod.

    • Repeat Off
      In this status, none of the tracks are repeated.

Note:

  • Repeat Play for Audiobooks, Podcasts and iTunes radio will not be available.

Shuffle Play

  1. Press the button to select the shuffle status for playback. The text will change accordingly.
  2. Every time the  button is pressed, the text will change as:
  3. Shuffle Off -> Shuffle On -› Shuffle Off

Shuffle On
Shuffle On is equivalent to Shuffle Songs in the iPod.

Shuffle Off
Shuffle play is turned off.

Note:

  • Shuffle Play for Audiobooks, Podcasts and iTunes radio will not be available.

Apple Radio mode
Press to play Apple Radio music, the function will be disabled if Apple Radio Music is not available inside connected device.

Supported iPod/iPhone

Bluetooth® AUDIO PLAYER OPERATIONS

Some Bluetooth mobile phones have audio features, and some portable audio players also support Blue- tooth connectivity. This system can play audio files stored in a Bluetooth audio player.

Note:

  • This system will not operate properly with some Bluetooth audio players.

Select Bluetooth Audio Mode

  1. Pair your smartphone with the system. Refer to the “Establish Connection” on page 17 section for the steps and more information on pairing your smart- phone with the system.
  2. Once the pairing is established, in the Paired Devices screen, ensure that the pairing option is enabled for your smartphone. The system also enables & in the Media Source List screen.

Controlling the Bluetooth Audio Player

Note:

  • Occasionally, depending on the environment, playback sounds may be fragmented, or switch noises may be generated.

Playing Music
After the connection with a Bluetooth audio player is established, the play mode is automatically engaged.

  • When playback is not started for some devices, press the  button manually.

Play/Pause Playback

  1. Press the button to pause playback.
  2. To resume playback, press the button.

Switch to Previous/Next Track
Press the button during playback to play previous/next file.

Fast Forward/Backward
Press and hold the button to start fast backward or fast forward during playback. Releasing the button will resume playback at normal speed.

Notes:

  • The fast forward and fast backward speeds may differ depending on the Bluetooth audio players.
  • The fast forward and fast backward functions may not be available depending on the Bluetooth audio players

Bluetooth TELEPHONE OPERATIONS

Bluetooth operation
Compatible device

  •  Make sure your mobile phone supports Bluetooth profiles of HFP (Handsfree for mobile phone), A2DP  (Stereo music streaming) and AVRCP (Remote control function).
  • Only mobile phones with Bluetooth version v5.0 and above are supported.
  • Mobile phones with incompatible Bluetooth firmware or operating system firmware may cause unstable Bluetooth pairing.

Caution:

  •  Taking calls while driving may pose risks to your own safety and the safety of your passengers. Kindly follow the local laws and regulations.
  • Appropriately pair, connect and adjust the volume level of incoming calls in advance before driving.
  • Safely park your car and ensure the brake is engaged before making a call.

Establish connection
To establish connection between the system and your Phone, perform the following steps:

  • Enable Bluetooth on your phone
  • Pair phone with the system
  • Manage the paired devices

Notes:

  • Please refer to the instruction manual of your phone on how to set up a Bluetooth connection.

Enable Bluetooth
Turn on Bluetooth and device visibility on phone.

Pair devices
A maximum of 10 devices / phones can be paired with the system at any given point of time. There are two ways of pairing your phone with the system:

  • Initiating from the system
  • Initiating from the phone

Initiating from system

  1. When connecting for the first time, tap the + touch button. The system displays the Available Devices screen. If there is a paired device available, the Paired Devices screen will be displayed.
  2. In the Paired Devices screen, tap to add a new device.

  4. The audio system’s default name is “My Car” and confirm the 6-digit passkey is the same on both mobile phone and audio system.TOYOTA-AVX-AACP-Panoramic-View-Monitor-FIG-72
  5. Select / deselect the options for which Bluetooth profile you want to pair with your phone.
  6. When an access PIN is displayed on both the sys- tem and your phone, click YES.
  7. After successful pairing of the devices, phone will be displayed in the Paired Devices screen. The system attempts to download the call logs, contacts and favourites from your phone to the system. Once the download is completed, the system displays the Call Log screen.

Initiating from phone

  1. Select Pair from Phone option. The system will display the 2 Bluetooth functions (Phone and Music)
  2. Select the required Bluetooth functions. Now the system is discoverable on phone with the name “My Car” default System’s Bluetooth name.
  3. Search for the available Bluetooth devices in your phone and select “My Car” from the list of available devices.

Manage Bluetooth paired devices

  1. + Displays the Available Devices screen to initiate a new pairing request
  2. Used to remove the device from the paired device list.
  3. Display connectivity status of Apple CarPlay. (if connected)
  4. Bluetooth (HFP) Profile for call connection status
  5. Bluetooth (A2DP) Profile for audio connection status

Caution:
To connect the phone to the device again, proceed as described in the section “Pair Devices” on page 17.

  • If the phone is unpaired, its phonebook and call logs are deleted.
  • If 10 devices are already paired with the system, you will be unable to pair any more devices until you delete a paired device.
  • If the phone is unpaired during an active call, the call is interrupted. The call can be continued on the phone, if the phone supports this

Phone Functions

  • Using call logs Tap on the required call/contact. The system dials out to the contact using the same number that was avail- able in the call log.

Using phonebook

  • Tap displayed in the bottom bar. The system displays the Phonebook screen.
  • Scroll through the contacts list.
  • Tap on the required contact. The system displays the details of the selected contact.
  • Select the required contact number.

Using contact search

  • In the Phonebook screen, tap .
  • Using the keypad displayed, enter a character or the required name. The system displays the list of contacts / specific contact that matches the search criteria.
  • Select the required contact from the list and tap OK. If only one contact is displayed, just tap OK.

Using dialpad search

  • Tap on the top bar.
  • Enter few or all numbers of the contact.
  • Select the required contact from the displayed list.

Using favourite contacts list

  • Tap ***** displayed in the bottom bar.
  • Select the required favourite contact from the list. The system displays the details of the selected contact.
  • Select the required contact number, if multiple num- bers are available.

Managing an incoming call

  • to reject the incoming call.
  • to reject the incoming call with a message.
  • to accept an incoming call.

Caution:

  • The “Reject with SMS” function will be disabled if the Sending SMS option is not supported by the phone.
  • The call function through third-party applications is not guaranteed and may have limited support.

Managing the second incoming call

    • to reject the incoming call.
  • to reject the new call with a message.
  • to end the active call and accepts the new incoming call.
  • to put the active call on hold and accepts the new incoming call

Caution:

  • Depending on what the Caller ID Notification Service is used, the caller’s phone number or name may not be displayed.
  • Audio quality during ongoing call is dependent on phone and network provider.
  • Delivery of SMS using reject with SMS functionality is net- work dependent.

Managing third incoming call

    • To reject the incoming call.
  • To reject the incoming call with a message.
  • To end the call that is on hold, to hold current conversation and accept the new incoming call.

  1. If contact image is not available, a default image will be displayed.
  2. Display the contact name, contact number, status of call and duration of current call.
  3. Displays the dialpad.
  4. Mute/Unmute current active Call.
  5. On-hold/Resume current active call.
  6. Ends an active call.
  7. Displays the call log screen to add new call.
  8. Switches between handsfree mode or private (phone) mode.

Messages (SMS)

  • To preview incoming SMS text message.

Activating smartphone voice recognition

  • Connect the phone to the system through Bluetooth. Re- fer to the section “Establish Connection” on page 17.
  • Press to activate Voice Recognition (VR).

Caution:

  • Bluetooth VR will work only if the phone is paired for Phone Bluetooth Function.
  • Bluetooth VR is unavailable when Apple CarPlay session is active.

APPLICATION

Smartphone linkage
The system allows to access the smartphone contents through the following Smartphone Linkage modes:

Apple CarPlay
Connect your smartphone to the system through USB or wireless to launch Apple CarPlay.

  • Connected phone status is displayed in paired device list.

Getting set up with a USB cable

  • Apple CarPlay App is by default installed on your iOS device (iOS 8.0 and above).
  • Plug a USB cable into your vehicle’s USB port. Connect the other end of the cable into your iPhone.
  • On your phone, you’ll receive a prompt to set-up
  • Apple CarPlay. Follow the prompts on your phone to accept the permissions that Apple CarPlay requires.

Getting set up with wireless

About Apple CarPlay

  • The Infotainment System supports Apple CarPlay when used in conjunction with your iPhone. You will be able to use functions in your iPhone directly on the screen of the Infotainment System.
  • Apple CarPlay is a service provided by Apple, Inc. bounded by their terms and conditions. When using Apple CarPlay, information will be sent from your ve- hicle (including its position) to the connected iPhone. You will be solely responsible for anyone using the service on your vehicle.
  • The Infotainment System only acts as an intermedi- ary interface for accessing iPhone functions.
  • Features and behaviors are dependent on the iP- hone model, the iOS version, the app, and the media file played.
  • Requires iPhone 5 or later.

About Android Auto

  • Android Auto™ will be available when the service is officially launched in Malaysia.

  • The system displays the current mode of the vehicle on this option. Auto will be default mode. If the headlights of the vehicle are switched ON the system will be in Night mode, else it will be in Day mode.

Changing display brightness

  • Tap Brightness.
  • Tap the + or the – at Brightness item to set the brightness to a value in the range of 0 to 20.

Changing display contrast

  • Tap Contrast.
  • Tap the + or the – at Contrast item to set the contrast to a value in the range of 0 to 20.

Displaying wallpaper mode

  • Tap Wallpaper Mode. The system displays Wallpaper Mode screen.

Managing keypad display

  • While driving, the system keypads (Smart search keyboard, Rename head unit keyboard) are locked to avoid distraction. To disable the setting:
  • In the System Settings screen, tap Lock Keypad While Driving option.

Managing scroll through steering wheel controls
To enable scrolling of lists using steering wheel controls, perform the following steps: In the System Settings screen, tap Scroll Through Steering Controls.

Managing attenuate volume during reverse
Tap Attenuate Volume During Reverse option to enable or disable Attenuate Volume During Reverse.

Viewing system details
To check the current version of the system software:

  • Tap System info and Software Update. The system displays the Software Version, Software Build, Open Source License and Software Update.

Reset to factory settings

  • When you reset the system to the factory settings, the following changes that you made in the system will be lost:
  • All changes made to the general settings, system, audio, tuner and phone settings will be reset to default.

To reset the system to factory settings:

  • In the System Settings screen, tap Reset to Factory Settings. The system prompts you to confirm wheth- er you want to reset all setting to factory defaults.
  • Tap YES. The system will start resetting all settings
    to factory defaults.

Manage media settings
Tap the * icon. The Media Settings screen with the available options is displayed.

Setting bass, mid and treble

Enabling phone ringtone
The system will play your smartphone ringtone when an incoming call is received. However, this feature is supported only if your smartphone projects its ringtone to the system.

  • First Name, Last Name
  • Last Name, First Name

Renaming head unit
