P52U Quick Guide
The P52U is a multi-functional device that can be used as a PC or display. It comes with a stand/handle and is equipped with a microphone, a webcam, an LCD display, two external antennas (optional), stereo speakers, an SD card reader, and multiple USB ports. This quick guide will provide instructions on how to install memory modules, HDD or SSD, and M.2 devices, how to power on the system, how to mount it to a wall or place it on a desk, and how to use the touch panel.
Product Usage Instructions
Powering on the system
- Connect the AC adapter to the power jack (DC-IN).
- Connect the other end of the AC adapter to a power outlet.
- Press the Power button to turn on the system.
Mounting the P52U to a wall
If you want to mount your P52U to a wall, follow these steps:
- Remove the cover from the back of the P52U.
- Unscrew four screws of the stand mount and remove the stand.
- Use a VESA-compatible 100 x 100 mm wall/arm bracket to mount the P52U on the wall.
Placing the P52U on a desk
If you want to place your P52U on a desk, follow these steps:
- Remove the hexagon screws from the COM ports on the back cover.
- Remove the back cover by following the steps (f-e-d-c-b-a) mentioned in the manual.
- Attach the stand to the base of the P52U by following the steps (a-b-c-d-e-f) mentioned in the manual.
Using the touch panel
The touch panel of the P52U can be used to operate the device. Simply touch the panel with your finger to perform various operations.
Installation Instructions
Memory module installation
To install a memory module, follow these steps:
- Locate the SO-DIMM slots on the motherboard.
- Align the notch of the memory module with the one of the relevant memory slot.
- Gently insert the module into the slot in a 45-degree angle until it snaps into the locking mechanism.
HDD or SSD installation
To install a HDD or SSD, follow these steps:
- Connect the Serial ATA and power cable to the HDD or SSD.
- Install the HDD or SSD & bracket in the chassis and tighten it with four screws.
M.2 device installation
To install an M.2 device, follow these steps:
- Locate the M.2 key slots on the motherboard.
- Install the M.2 device into the M.2 slot and secure it with a screw.
- Pasting a thermal pad on the M.2 SSD can effectively reduce its temperature.
Note: This motherboard only supports 1.2 V DDR4 SO-DIMM memory modules.

Hardware Installation
Begin Installation
_ WARNING: _For safety reasons, please ensure that the power cord is disconnected before opening the case.
- Follow the steps (a-b-c-d-e-f) to remove the stand and back cover.
- Follow the steps (f-e-d-c-b-a) to replace the back cover and stand
- Follow the steps 1 → 2 → 4 to remove the back cover.
- Follow the steps 2 → 3 (push) → 5 (push) to install the back cover.
Note to 5: push up the back cover (~5kg force) to reduce the gap.
The product’s colour and specifications may vary from the actually shipped product.
Memory Module Installation
This motherboard does only support 1.2 V DDR4 SO-DIMM memory modules.
- Locate the SO-DIMM slots on the motherboard.
- Align the notch of the memory module with the one of the relevant memory slot.
- Gently insert the module into the slot in a 45-degree angle.
- Carefully push down the memory module until it snaps into the locking mechanism and put back the mylar.
- Repeat the above steps to install an additional memory module, if required.
HDD or SSD Installation
- Take the brackets and screws out of the accessory box.
- Mount the HDD or SSD into the bracket with four screws.
- Connect the Serial ATA and power cable to the HDD or SSD.
- Install the HDD or SSD & bracket in the chassis and tighten the HDD or SSD & bracket with four screws.
M.2 Device Installation
- Locate the M.2 key slots on the motherboard.
- M.2 2242/2260/2280 M key slot
- Install the M.2 device into the M.2 slot and secure with the screw.
Pasting a thermal pad on the M.2 SSD can effectively reduce its temperature.
Daughter board (CM009)
Powering on the system
- Follow the steps (1-3) below to connect the AC adapter to the power jack (DC-IN).
- Press the (4) Power button to turn on the system.
Please press the “Del” key while booting to enter BIOS. Here, please load the optimized BIOS settings.
VESA mounting it to the wall
If you are mounting your P52U to the wall, remove the cover from the back of the P52U first. Unscrew four screws of the stand mount and remove the stand. The VESA standard makes it easy to mount the P52U on to walls. Please refer to the user guide of the wall/arm mount kit you bought separately how to install it.
The P52U can be mounted to a wall using a VESA-compatible 100 x 100 mm wall/arm bracket.
How to use the Touch Panel
- The touch of your finger replaces the input devices and is all you need to operate the P52U.
Placing on a desk
To place the machine on a desk and to carry it, do the following:
- Place the P52U on a flat surface such as a table.
- Pull the stand upwards to an angle of 55°.
- To carry or move your P52U, fully extend the angle to 180°.
