Operating Instructions
-
Remove the long wand from the packaging and inspect for damage.
If damage is found, report it the retailer, or shipping company if it was delivered. Do not use a damaged long wand. High pressure water can rupture damaged components and cause further damage creating a safety hazard. -
Wrap Teflon tape on the threads of the brass fitting on top of the gun. Attach the threaded end of the hose to the brass fitting.
-
Attach a spray nozzle to the end of the long wand. It will use a standard quick connect spray nozzle that comes with most pressure washers.
-
Connect the long wand to the pressure washer high pressure hose.
Ensure the high pressure hose is connected to the pressure washer pump and squeeze the trigger so that water will run through the system under low pressure. Inspect for leaks or blockages. Make repairs or adjustments if needed so water flows freely through it. -
Follow the normal start up procedure for your pressure washer.
-
Hold the long wand firmly with one hand on the trigger and one on the yellow fiberglass pole. Squeeze the trigger. CAUTION: The release of high pressure through the gun may cause kickback.
Always be braced, and stand on secure ground. -
To extend the wand, lift the lever locks and slide the pole sections out. Close the lever locks securely at the desired length. Make sure the locks are firmly secure to prevent the poles from sliding during operation.
-
When you first set up your telescoping wand, open the lever locks and extend each section about half way of the overall length of that section. Once you have the sections opened half-way, turn on your pressure washer and use the wand to get a feel of how it responds while under pressure. The further the long wand is extended, the more it will sway and become a challenge to carefully pressure wash surfaces.
-
Always leave six to eight inches of the poles retracted to help support the next section of the pole. Never over extend pole sections beyond the level locks.
Operation and Servicing
Operation Instructions
Due to backwards thrusts of water under pressure, it is extremely important to
clean while standing firmly on solid ground and the telescoping wand gives you
advantage to do this. Trying to get the nozzle end closer to the surface than
it will normally go under full pressure. This can become very tiring, and can
also bend the inner aluminum section of the pole if to much force is used. The
wands are rated for a maximum pressure of 4,000 PSI and a flow of 8 GPM, with
the water being carried through a single steel braided 1/4” hose.
Servicing & Repairs
Your long wand has been designed to be easily serviceable and repairable in
the field. If any component malfunctions or breaks, ensure it is replaced
immediately. Reference the diagram on page 4 for any part information.
The tension of the lever locks can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the bolts.
Warranty
This telescoping wand has a three months limited warranty.
This warranty covers manufacturer defects only and does not extend to any
damage caused by the user. It also does not extend to any wear and tear caused
by regular use of the product.
