Product Information

Buccan cast iron cookware is designed to last a lifetime. The cookware is suitable for oven and hob use but not for use in a microwave oven. The edge on the body of the pan (on which the lid rests, and the lid itself) is not enamelled and should be greased regularly with plant-based cooking oil (sunflower seed, rapeseed or something similar) to provide anti-rust properties. If you have accidentally damaged the enamel, rub a little cooking oil over the chipped area and wipe away the excess with a paper towel before each use. After cleaning, apply a small amount of vegetable oil to the exposed surface to protect the cookware from rusting. If rust spots still appear, these can easily be removed with the rough side of a plastic scouring pad. After the rust has been removed, oil the edge again.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before first use, remove all labels, clean the cookware with soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly.
  2. To protect yourself from burns, always use oven gloves or a tea towel when handling hot cookware. Place hot dishes onto a heat-resistant surface, such as a cooling rack.
  3. To clean the cookware, immerse it in hot soapy water and scrub until clean. Rinse and hand dry completely. Do not soak the cookware or put it in the dishwasher.

Remember to handle the cookware with care to avoid chipping or breaking it against hard surfaces. By following these usage instructions and maintaining the cookware properly, you can enjoy your Buccan cast iron cookware for a lifetime.
