Roland DG Connect Setup Guide

There are three steps to set up Roland DG Connect.

1. Download and Install Roland DG Connect Hub.
2. Set up Roland DG Connect Hub after creation Roland DG Connect ID if you do not have one ID.
3. Set up Roland DG Connect Hub if you have already had one ID.
4. Update Firmware of the machine into the latest version.

Download/Update Roland DG Connect Hub

To use Roland DG Connect, Roland DG Connect Hub Windows application is necessary for connecting machine with cloud. Please download the latest version of application in this step.

1. Click the link below to start to download Roland DG Connect Hub Installation file. Link to Roland DG Connect Hub

2. Please wait until the complete of download.

3. Extract ZIP file to EXE file after ZIP file was downloaded.

4. Start installation by clicking RolandDG_Connect_Setup.exe.

5. Complete installation process by following install wizard.
   Depending on the PC settings, a security alert may appear from the Windows firewall. If a warning appears, check “Private networks” and “Public networks” and click “Allow access”.

6. Start the Roland DG Connect Hub from Windows Start Menu.

Creation of Roland DG Connect ID and set up Roland DG Connect Hub

In this step, you create Roland DG Connect ID and set up Roland DG Connect Hub. If you already have your Roland DG Connect ID, please pass this step2 and go to step3.

1. Click “Register” button in the right side.
2. Read Terms of use, apply the check box and click “Agree” button in the right side.
3. Fill your Email Address (Roland DG Connect ID) and Click “Send verification code”.
4. You will receive an E-mail with verification code as below.
5. Enter your verification code and click “Verify Code”.
6. Fill in or select all necessary information and click “Create”.
7. Splash dialog appears. Depending on the PC settings, a security alert may appear from the Windows firewall. If a warning appears, check “Private networks” and “Public networks” and click “Allow access”.
8. Detected machines in the same network of PC are registered automatically.
9. If your target machine is not detected, register manually. Go to “Print settings” from “settings” menu and input IP address then click “OK” button.

Set up Roland DG Connect Hub

This step is for a user who already has a Roland DG Connect ID.

1. Click “Sign-in” button in the left side.
2. Input Roland DG Connect ID and its passwords. Then click “Sign In”.
3. Splash dialog appears. Depending on the PC settings, a security alert may appear from the Windows firewall. If a warning appears, check “Private networks” and “Public networks” and click “Allow access”.
4. Detected machines in the same network of PC are registered automatically.
5. If your target machine is not detected, register manually. Go to “Print settings” from “settings” menu and input IP address then click “OK” button.

Update Firmware of the machine into the latest version

1. Click ”Open” in Roland DG Connect.
2. Click “Sign In”.
3. Fill in your Email address and password and click “Sign in”.
4. Select target printer to check information.
5. Select “Firmware” menu and click “Update Firmware” button if the firmware is not latest version.
6. Turn off the power of the target printer.
7. Click “Confirm” to start update the firmware.
8. Wait until the updating firmware is completed. Machine makes pipi beep sounds.
9. Open navigation menu and select the target machine again.
10. Check if current version of firmware is the same as that of latest version.
11. Firmware Update has been completed.
