Coopers OF STORTFORD Halo RL4 Smart WiFi Recessed LED Trim
Product Information: RL4 Smart Wi-Fi Recessed LED Trim
The RL4 Smart Wi-Fi Recessed LED Trim is a retrofit kit designed to upgrade traditional recessed lighting with modern LED technology, enabling users to control their lighting with a smartphone app. The kit comes with an LED module, socket adapter (E26), #8-32 self-tapping screw, #8-32 screw, #8-32 hex nut, and instructions. It is compatible with any 4-inch diameter recessed housing constructed of steel or aluminum with an internal volume that exceeds 42.9 in.3 and does not exceed the input rating of the housing.
Important Safety Instructions:
- Before installing or servicing the luminaire, turn off the power supply at the fuse box or circuit breaker to avoid possible electrical shock
- LED Retrofit Kit installation requires knowledge of luminaires electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
- Luminaire wiring and electrical parts may be damaged when drilling for installation of LED retrofit kit. Check for enclosed wiring and components.
- Wear gloves while handling as edges may be sharp
Installation and Mounting Instructions:
- Attach the preinstalled green ground wire on the light to the housing using one of the following methods:
- Use sheet metal screw (B) to attach to 1 of 3 slots inside housing.
- Drive pan head screw (C) into existing hole inside the housing. If there is no hole, drill a small [1/8] pilot hole and use the provided #8 sheet metal screw (B).
- Twist nut (D) onto the threaded stud in housing wall. If there is no hole, drill a small pilot hole and use the provided #8 sheet metal screw.
- If the housing is not equipped with an orange quick connector, remove the mounting bracket and plate from inside the housing, then remove the socket from the plate. Screw the Socket Adapter (B) into the housing.
- Plug the orange quick connect into the light.
- Align the module in the center of the housing’s opening, ensuring all wiring is away from friction clips. Press the module firmly up into place. After fully inserting the module, twist it clockwise slightly to eliminate any gaps between the ceiling and the trim.
Setup and Control:
To configure and control lighting quickly, use the WiZ App for DiYers & Homeowners. For installers or multiple projects management, use the WiZ Pro Setup App for initial claiming and configuration over Bluetooth. Then control with advanced features using the WiZ Pro Dashboard and WiZ App once Wi-Fi is connected.
Uninstalling:
- Using friction clips Method, pull down firmly on the fixture to remove it from the housing.
- Unplug the orange connector and remove the ground wire.
