Product Information
The Car Motion 8402 is a remote control for operating and switching on/off CarMotion vehicles. It comes with an IR remote control and a button cell battery (CR2025). This product is intended for use in dry rooms only and any other use is not approved and considered inappropriate. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage resulting from improper use.
The remote control has several buttons that perform different functions, including accelerating, braking, switching on/off the vehicle, switching main lights and high beam, and indicating the direction of the vehicle by turning on the blinkers. It is important to read the user manual before first use and keep it as part of the product for future reference.
Product Usage Instructions
Remove the battery safety before using for the first time.
- Use the ‘Switches the vehicle off’ button to turn on the CarMotion vehicle using the integrated permanent magnet.
- Use the ‘Accelerate’ button to increase speed in 10 km/h intervals.
- Use the ‘Brake’ button to decrease speed in 10 km/h intervals.
- Use the ‘Switching of main lights’ button to turn on the main lights of the CarMotion vehicle.
- Use the ‘Switching of high beam’ button to turn on the high beam of the CarMotion vehicle.
- Use the ‘Direction indicator left’ and ‘Direction indicator right’ buttons to indicate the direction of the CarMotion vehicle by turning on the blinkers.
- The ‘Anzeige des Ladestatus des Akkus’ button displays the battery level status.
- When handling magnets, wearers of pacemakers should exercise the usual caution. Magnets are not toys and should be kept out of reach of children.

When handling magnets, wearers of pacemakers should exercise the usual
caution.
Magnets are no toys. There is the danger of swallowing the magnets. They must
therefore be kept out of the reach of children as long as they are out of
their packaging and not mounted! Moreover, magnets may easily break or
splinter under mechanical pressure!
Using the product for its correct purpose
This product is intended:
- For remote control and switching CarMotion vehicles on and off.
- For operation in dry rooms only.
Using the product for any other purpose is not approved and is considered inappropriate. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage resulting from the improper use of this product.

Hint: Before first use, remove the battery fuse!
The remote control facilitates the control of the CarMotion vehicles on the
layout as well as simple settings at the vehicle. For this purpose the remote
control is directed towards the front part of the vehicle where its infrared
sensors are located. Distances larger than 50 cm require a very precise
alignment of the remote control with the vehicle. Under favourable conditions
a distance of up to 1 m is possible. For optimal alignment, see fig. 1. The
device is designed for a local control of the vehicles – driving on sight, so
to speak. You can switch the basic functions and change the speed without
having to connect the vehicle to its programming device, item 8401. The key
assignment is listed below:
You can switch the vehicle on and off magnetically with the remote control, item 8402 (fig. 2) or optionally switch it off with the red button of the remote control.
Do not dispose of this product through (unsorted) domestic waste, supply it to recycling instead.
